    Has anyone else seen had this happen?

    I was logging into my Rovio account in Angry Birds Epic and the game crashed during the log-in. The crash reset the game account and I lost everything. All my snoutlings, my lucky coins, my friendship essences, and most importantly my game progress including birds, hats, mastery levels. It’s *all* gone.

    I’m stunned that this can happen. My birds on the reset account were a fairly mature team, with full epic sets for the birds (except for the new one), level 10 mastery on the hats, and full epic sets for Arena. And to add insult, I was doing fairly well in the event and going to finish with three stars.

    I submitted a support request to Rovio, but I doubt they will care (I’ll get a “Hahahaha sucker! Too bad for you!” back from them). It is a stunning failure of the game. My advice is not to pay any money for this game if there is a chance you can lose everything.

    @jamairoquiqu Did you have your game connected to a Rovio account? If you did then Rovio will be able to restore the game but your progress might be set back a week or two.

    @jamairoqui I had this happen once and Rovio was able to restore my progress.

    Even if they can restore my account it’s depressing (it was connected to a Rovio account, I was logging into that account as the game crashed). It will take a few days, I’m guessing, and I’m losing out on the event since it’s concluding in a few days.

    Don’t pay money for anything for this game.

    @jamairoqui — Do you mean you restarted the game and logged into your Rovio account, and all was still lost? I don’t know if deleting and reinstalling the game would help.

    Yes, I mean even with re-installing the game, logging into my Rovio account, everything is gone. It’s reset completely. I even tried installing the game on a different device and logging into my Rovio account. The game is on the initial stages, with only Red with the wooden sword, and Chuck is still trapped. At least I can’t see the Sonic event winding down when I can’t even play it.

    It’s hard to get too worked up about it, in the grand scheme of things losing your progress in a game is pretty trivial. Still, it would be nice if at least Rovio would refund the money I paid to buy LC along the way. And it just goes to show that you should not pay money to play these games. The software companies do not care. They make money off the ads anyway.
