Bird Skills during Ship Battle

Question: When doing ship battles does each individuals birds skill still apply,

Such as- attack/defense boost increased when _________ panels matched, or the defense/attack boosts.

Because I’m almost certain the ‘fever time increased’ ‘increased panel appearance rate’ and ‘angry panels appear randomly’ are deactivated during ship battle.

So the main question is: Do the birds individual skills play a part during ship battle, or is it just the attack/defense/health number that they take into account?

If not, then I need to re-equip some of my birds
