Top 500 in frog event

@gabe-nestor I spent only 3 gems (to refill ship energy) to squeeze into the Top 500. I also used 7 ship energy potions I had saved up.

I spent 3 gems on Monday while trying to catch on after the weekend. My final rank is 243, so I could easily do without spending them. Anyway, it’s better to use gems to get a certain SS thing you need (I hadn’t had a SS boat before the event) than get something useless in a spin.

And I cannot say I spent two weeks stuck to my pad. My primary goal was to get into top 10000 and get the hat. I played very little at first and my rank was somewhere near 50K after the first weekend, then it started to move up slowly as it always did, but then I got Magician Bow on Thursday and jumped from around 10K to 2000 in less than two days. That was when I decided to try to get to top. I had the weekend for myself again playing only in mornings and evening to keep the position as much as possible. Monday and Tuesday were the two days when I played a lot. I crosses the 500 line only 46 hours before the event ended. I made a screenshot to celebrate it. )))

Sometimes I wonder if I could do it without the Magician Bow and I think, yes. But I would have to play more from the very beginning and take my pad with me on the weekends, and I dislike it. Most point were earned on Monday and Tuesday beating other’s Mecha pigs and I had to put away this Magician Bow because it wasn’t the best Bow I had and it had no bonuses against mecha pigs.

I think it largely depends on what items you have. Do you have a monster event special ship part? Multiple special parts? Matching hull panel rate with your captain and mast boost? etc… Having a good ship means up to lvl25 super pigs are one hit kills and up to lvl80 normal pigs are one hit kills. Then helping others means easily getting MVP points because you can hit for so much per fight.
