    Last week my nephew picked up the phone while one of the ads were playing.  It was that one for the “Empires and Puzzles” (you know, the 45-second time-killer that give you a demo try once it’s done playing).  He tried the demo part before I could get the thing away from him.

    Now I get that ad whenever an ad is played EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.

    So word to the wise… when you see one, click on the shortest ad you see, and that will be the one you get more often than not.

    Proof that the game monitors your activity.

    Wow… I already saw that some variants of the ad are behaving bad. It’s already bad when you can mute ad only after it has started to play and have do it again every time that ad is playing, but as well as few other ads, that can unmute itself for the last forced 5 seconds. It can be very masty surprise in quiet environment, unless you know it and keep loudspeakers of the device covered.

    Generally speaking, it looks like Rovio accepts any advertiser and all ads are good in their books. I’ve had web page opening, instead of ad closing with X button. I’ve had unclosable ads with far east (thai?) looking language. And those gambling ads, which are not supposed to be legal in Finland, but perhaps Rovio has found a loophole?

    While some ads are well behaving, there are countless more than do not so. Be careful what you tap when ad is on screen!
