Angry Birds Epic exploit report

  • Hello,

I have recently thought out a situation, that would be considered an exploit in Angry Birds Epic.

All You have to do is:
    1. prepare Your birds for huge healing, no area of effect dmg, huge protection (for ex. Guardian, Drudid)
    2. go to Ghost Ship dungeon
    3. hire up Piggy Mc Cool
    4. play it, on first wave just click autoplay
    5. the birds will not be able to defeat ghosts, ghosts will respawn and birds will have sufficient defences for survival for quite long time (20 min?)
    6. And during this fighting period, player shall benefit constantly from Piggy Mc Cool snoutling hits.
    7. this situation is not indefinite, as Ghosts can stun birds.
    8. the farmed reward was like… 200 snoutlings?

Smash this exploit down, dear admins. This is tested and working.

    EDIT
I bet folks will think it out to make it in that way, that this would become nearly indefinite.

But if you set up a strong team of birds and actually beat the dungeon, you can earn on average over 250 Snoutlings every 3-5 minutes on auto play, so over 1000 Snoutlings in the same amount of time with the strategy you posted.

    Right.

But imagine situation, that people would think out solution, that lasts, for example several hours? At night? And then one can set up birds, send them to this dungeon, go to sleep, after 8 hours wake up and what? zillions of snoutlings without any effort.

BTW, isnt that “replay” button fixed? that one that appears on dungeon completion. According to dungeons description, they can be replayed only once per week, not every time You pass them.

    EDIT

Also, I have beaten a dungeon once, that button appeared, tried it – worked, so i was happy that I will be able to replay it later. Closed the dungeon, tapped it once more and what? “dungeon reopens next blah blah”. Presence of this repeat button on dungeon completion is clearly a bug.

Good point, this definitely is more convenient than multiple replays. The replay was fixed the daily golden pig but that would be a huge blow to Snoutling farming if dungeons really can only be played once per week. I think the dungeon replay may stay since you can’t change your team once you’ve committed, thus exiting to change teams would then be the disadvantage you take if you need to exit.

FYI, completely doable for infinite. Setting a phone to not sleep, plugged in (or PC). Samurai (keeps damage output low, the aoe buff absorbs much of the damage), druid, smart heals allies under about 50%, pig obviously, and he’ll use the chili to group heal if the team is low. I tested it out, not specifically to be a cheater, but mostly out of honest curiosity, it didn’t stumble in about 4 hours. Could have gone forever, every time I peeked at it the whole team was at about 85% hp, and it’s only about 200/hour. I’ve since quit, but I’d imagine a fix is probably due for that dungeon.

Just set a hard cap for Snoutling amount that this pig can earn per dungeon and You’re done. It need to be high enough, that normal players would not loss anything from playing with him (normally playing, that is), and low enough for cheaters to not make zillions of snouts.

    doesn’t work for me :(

druid and samurai and piggy but they get overwhelmed by the ghosts quite quickly.

    @bluemchen

samurai on autoplay keeps attacking mostly instead of buffering and druid gets knocked out quickly so no more healing (also attacks more than heals)

    another way to get snoutlings:

    1. play dungeons with undeads
    2. choose these bird classes: paladin and lightning bird. Be sure to pack a lot of juices.
    3. choose mc’cool
    4. start battle
    5. start attacking with mc’cool
    6. use chuck’s secondary skill on mc’cool
    7. defend mc’cool
    8. repeat and heal.
    9. then now, finish the level, roll the Wheel of Fortune, then re-roll 5 times.

you can keep replaying to do the method I said above

If I am need to rack up 200 snoutlings, battling undead or burning juice is a waste of time.

I can get snoutlings much faster and easier by farming the right levels, without even needing Golden Chili.

My point was that this simply isn’t an exploit. It breaks nothing in the game.

I agree. This isn’t an exploit since the dungeon opens only once a week.
