Welcome to our Badges and Ranking section! You can see a list of users who have a badge or rank by simply clicking its name. It is important to understand that the badges and ranking systems are separate from each other and ONLY WORK when you’re logged in. If you have any questions, suggestions, or see a bug, please leave a comment below.

Ranks
Your rank is determined by the number of points you have earned. Points are earned by interacting on the site. For example, you can earn points for leaving comments, returning to the site, and more. Note, spamming comments will not help you earn points and can get you banned. We will be adding a bunch more ways to earn points down the road, so keep your eye out.

Badges
Badges are currently awarded manually by ABN team members. Below are the currently available badges. These may change and we will most definitely be adding more down the road.

There will be only ONE HollyDog awarded per player during the Advent Challenge, no matter how many times the top score is beaten (does not count towards Club Underdog).
How does the Danger Addict badge get triggered? Maybe it should be automatically given (or withdrawn) when “Congratulations” appears (or does not appear) at the bottom of the scores page. I should have the Danger Addict badge. Other people might deserve it too, or other deserve other similar badges.
One needs to submit there screenshot, here in badge and rank group or the the DZ Addict forum.
As sunshine said, it’s not automatic. We have to award it manually.
Also a while back I asked about the possibility of an “Above Average” badge. You commented (among others) that there wasn’t any interaction between the Leaderboards and the Badges, so it would be difficult to implement. What would be the possibility that “Above Average” could be implemented like the “Score Addict” is?
Again, Thanks for all you do.
Score Addict is just a running total and we balance your total against a set threshold. Since your total score on any episode is automatically computed, it is just set against the threshold and either marked as surpassed or not. There is no badge.
@AMslimfordy – I’m sure I read something on this page in the last day or so about points being increased from 5 to 10 for each comment/post contribution by way of thanks for all of the hard work and efforts of the nesters recently. I just posted 4 comments on the Piglantis walk through pages, yet only 20 points in total…perhaps I was daydreaming when I read this statement?
You get 10 points for logging in each day.
You get 05 points for each comment, so 20 points is correct.
We increased the daily login “award” a few months ago from 5 to 10. 10 per comment would be far too much.
BADGE CLOSING!!!
The “Danger Addict” badge will close on 22 March, 2013 — which marks the first birthday of Angry Birds Space. Any requests for this badge must be made in print before this date.
@AMslimfordy The “Danger Addict” badge coming to a close and reading @puddley‘s suggestion of an “Above Average” badge got me to thinking. What is the possibility of establishing a “Top 20” badge? Badge could be awarded to anyone able to get all level scores in a world at top 20 or above. You would need to establish a date (maybe a month) after the release of a new world to allow a quorum and time to input enough decent scores to validate the badge.
I am very proud of my DA badge and am currently in first place in Danger Zone. But along the lines of the daily challenge and the “Underdog” badge, I think a “Top 25, 20, or even 10” badge would challenge more play. This is a badge that I and many others would covet even if it were next to impossible to attain.
Please let me know if you have any comments or questions. Thank you in advance for your consideration of this badge.
I would say there’s the same objection: There is no linking between badges and Leaderboards.
@AMslimfordy I realize it would not be awarded automatically. This would be awarded like a “DA” badge through submitting your scores. I’m not aware of a badge that is awarded otherwise.
I still think it would be a cool badge.
Am I submitting this badge idea in the correct forum? Please advise. Thank you.
Ideas are most appropriate here, yes.
The issue with manually awarding such a badge is that — to be perfectly honest — I can’t (read: really don’t want to) be watching all of our leaderboards to find any qualified users for the badge. And I also don’t like the idea of having a badge that can be revoked, which I would say needs to be done if the user’s ranking drops on any given applicable level.
@AMslimfordy It never crossed my mind that the badge would be revoked. I saw this as a very difficult accomplishment that could be recognised with a badge. We don’t revoke gold medals just because someone sets a new record at the next Olympics. As you stated earlier you wouldn’t revoke an “Underdog” badge just because there score is beaten.
You wouldn’t be kept to busy awarding this badge. To my knowledge, only two people have ever accomplished this feat so far, @goavs4 and myself. I actually was one level away from all scores in the top ten in Pig Dipper but people keep setting the bar higher. Hard to get there, harder to stay there.
I would love to see people recognized for this accomplishment. What we call it or where we set the level at is not important. I’m extremely proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish with or without a badge. I just wanted more players aware that it is possible and attempting this feat.
I’m curious if there is anyone else out there that has done it. Speak up.
Two badge proposals:
1) Troubleshooter. Icon: Silver wrench. Description: An eagle-eyed shooter who identified or played a significant role in confirming a technical issue, glitch or flaw affecting a game or game play.
2) Problem Solver (Troubleshooter Level 2). Icon: Gold wrench. Description: One of our ultimate troubleshooters who identified or played a significant role in confirming a solution, work-around or alternate strategy to a technical issue, glitch or flaw affecting a game or game play.
@brave1966, I think the first ‘badge’ is flawless and written in a brilliant style, but for the second, maybe what you currently have but maybe the troubleshooters have to have found more than a few glitches (don’t have to be major ones like on S-15 or Santa Hat) If so I would like to nominate @annach for the Troubleshooter badge… @amslimfordy, what do you think of these?
I would have to discuss things with BL.
Thanks for the feedback @AngerManagement!
My thinking on the second one is that this would be a good way to honor the significant single resolution achievement as someone is building up a pattern over time worthy of Helping Hand. Santa Hat, S-15, DZ-4, and the work-arounds for the initial PC release of Bad Piggies (which first prompted me to join the Nest and offer a solution I found) were the inspiration for it.

Hi @amslimfordy
@AngerManagement very kindly pointed out that I am eligible for the Jedi Addict badge. The link to the screenshot is: http://s1164.beta.photobucket.com/user/Stevenellie/media/StevenellieJediaddict-1.png.html
Hi @Stevenellie. Unfortunately, the screenshot must be of the game itself.

Hi @amslimfordy. Is this what you need: http://s1164.beta.photobucket.com/user/Stevenellie/media/Jedi.png.html
Looks right!
Hiya, @amslimfordy. Can I please get the Danger Addict badge? My total score is 3,214,550. Proof: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8507/8485216513_58ca9c9b4a_b.jpg
Thanks!
Hi, AMslimfordy. I never thought I could do it, but I think I earned Danger Addict. Just in time, too. :-) https://plus.google.com/photos/110629672523999373385/albums/5849441757726487697?banner=pwa&authkey=CI_oht6GjYmlnQE
Looks good to me!
Well, what the heck, I have this score for a long time now, might as well get the badge before it gets closed! :)

Hi! Can I have the Jedi Addict badge please? Thank you :)
@amslimfordy
I just post a comment about Angry Birds Space to be on Steam, but my name isn’t in the News Sleuth badge. why?
Badges are not given for one report.
@AMslimfordy: I found myself trying to track down levels where I’ve had the #1 spot. Since it seems I’ve been knocked below #1 on all such levels (I think) I wondered if:
1. Is there a way to set up notification when knocked out of #1…perhaps after holding it for a period of time?
2. A way to see what levels one may have held a #1 spot, but no longer does?
Also thought perhaps there could be a badge for people who hold a #1 score for a certain period of time w/o being knocked off. Maybe call it the Eagle’s Nest badge. You guys could probably come up with something more clever.
Just a thought.
Thanks!
@SuicideSolution
1) Speaking of the Devil. BirdLeader and I were just talking about this no more than 10 minutes ago. We are working on a few things right now, but this is tangentially related.
2) Hrm, I’m not sure about that one. Even if we dial this back to displaying a list of your “#1s”, it may be pretty slow. That’s 1500+ levels, just on the main 5 apps.
3) Currently, badges are not linked to the leaderboards, and to manually maintain such a list would be exhaustive I think.
@AMslimfordy
Funny that I raised the issue as you and BirdLeader had been discussing it. I am now curious to see what new development emerges tangentially related to my thought.
Regarding ideas 2 & 3 I was thinking that if idea #1 were feasible a method for connecting dates/times to #1 scores might exist, hence #2 & #3 might be something that could be automated such as:
2) Triggered along with achieving #1 score and the trophy displayed on the leaderboard. (If score on level x = #1 then…)
3) Triggered by a time measurement when said #1 score is gone. (if score on level x no longer = 1 then…)
I’m simplifying I know and your explanation helped me understand why those ideas would be exceedingly ominous to implement.
Thanks!
Finally got it- can I have the Jedi Addict badge please?- http://angrybir.de/ZFncj8- its in my album if this link doesn’t work- Thank you!

Thank you @amslimfordy
And another Jedi Master @AMslimfordy :-)

Thanks @ ABN and everyone here ;-)
@amslimfordy Idea for a new badge: “Forum Forensic”. Symbol: Orange Bird. Someone who frequently makes helpful comments and starts interesting conversations on the forum. I think this would be a good badge because the forum offers practically no reward badge or rank-wise, and some people stick to the forum and rarely go anywhere else.
@admins – Sorry if this has been asked before, but I really tried to go through the comments, but there are so many of them that maybe I’ve missed some of them.
So the question is: I’ve understood that iOS users do earn points for the achievements like score addicts etc. (correct me if I’m wrong)? I’m playing on PC so do I get extra points when the leaderboard shows that my total score is above the score addict limit?
Another question is that who decides about those score addict badges (PotJ and DZ)? Will there be other badges like that? Would be great if there could be one “addict badge” for every episode (well at least to those episoden which have got the achievement), but maybe that would cause a bit too much work for admins?
You are confusing two things here. First, ABN points are totally independent from ios achievement points. You are awarded points when visiting ABN and posting comments. It is not linked to any games.
Achievement points are awarded through Game Center on ios devices.
@sal9 – Okay thanks for clearing it up, I thought that nest also gives the points for achievements! Sorry for the bother, I think I’ve got it wrong at some point :)
So what about the badges? Is there any hope to see badges like Jedi and DZ addict? Would be nice if there was something to aim for :D
I mean badges that you could achieve by playing, not by being nominated by other nesters :)
Hi @Lisko
Achievements earned in GameCenter have no bearing here on ABN. We have no way of connecting to Apple’s servers, nor would we really want to given how easily hacked GameCenter is.
We created the badges for Danger Zone and Path of the Jedi because the score thresholds were particularly high. If other episodes like this are released in the future, we may continue the trend.
@AMslimfordy – But could there be badges for the other episodes if you for example raised the score limit with some reasonable amount of points so that it wouldn’t be too easy to achieve? Well yeah, I know, the problem is that who’s able to say what the acceptable score would be…But anyway, I think that it would be an idea worth to think of :)

Questions please @admin..
Is the leaderboard guardian badge awarded via the nomination system, or by admin please?
Is there a general requirement, as in number of scores flagged, to get the badge please?
Thanks in advance!
PS. Just to clarify my ”number of scores flagged” comment. I obviously wouldn’t dream of flagging a score without the firm belief that I thought a score looked a bit, well, ”fishy”, and I would say that 4/5 if not 5/5 scores that I do flag ‘do’ get removed, so in terms of number of scores flagged, I’m not referring to flagging just for the sake of it and to get a badge, I’m just curious as to how the system works for this particular badge because you have to be logged in to use the flag system, so my guess would be that admin will know who’s flagging what, and as such, it would be admin rather than the nomination system who award this badge…I could be wrong?
Usually done on a case-by-case basis.
Okay, as I thought then. Thank you @AMSlimfordy
Can I have a question please: How do you get the Celebrity Judge badge and why there are few membera get that badge ?
They are (active or former) Rovio employees.
But how do you know that members work for Rovio, I looked on their profile and they are not an active member
We have enough information that’s not necessarily public.
@amslimfordy – I determined the majority of 3-star minima for Abra-ca-Bacon episode, and I am hungry for banana. Could you give it to me?
My goodness @annach I thought you already had one! First thing tomorrow.
@amslimfordy – thank you! I have a question. Have you tried to find an easier way to obtain minimum 3 star scores? What I mean is you could probably ask Rovio to supply the Nest with a list of min 3-star scores after each update. Or give access to the code this info can be extracted from? Just a thought.
Unfortunately, no, sorry @annach.
Funny enough. Long, long, ago Rovio actually did provide these to us, but as the community grew it became unnecessary. Actually, in a way, hunting down the mins adds to the fun. At least to me. Always appreciate the feedback though, @annach.
cc. @amslimfordy
@birdleader – thank you for your reply. I also enjoy hunting down the min 3-star scores! However, there are levels where min cannot be determined by gameplay, the two I know are Star Wars Tatooine 1-34 and Droid D-7. Also, when the min score is not the whole number of thousands (as in several levels if the latest Seasons update) and needs to be tracked down within the hundreds, it becomes very cumbersome.
@annach I think the last point is a good reason why we do it manually. This is an obvious accident by Rovio that would have gone unnoticed I think.
We have one member on-site who has a method of determining the “indeterminable” minimums. Luckily he’s pretty trustworthy and only uses his power for good instead of evil.
@AMslimfordy – Anchors Away. However, I forgot to take screenshot last time I did it, does this acceptable? My high score 178030.
http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g363/92kai/spaces-15_zps9ee05e00.png
How about some new badges please @amslimfordy?
I’ve an idea for one – for an original/creative shot used in a game. For example: the bounce (Terrance ?) technique, the no bomb white bird push technique, the backwards boomerang bird technique..and how about @yuriyigolkin‘s 2nd shot on ACB 2-2; check out his YouTube video, its pretty awesome and defo original/creative! :)
@AMslimfordy, I can’t get points for every day I log in. Yesterday I logged in at 12:15 PM (in my time zone) and my point was 660 and today I log in at 1:30 PM and my point is still 660, it suppose to be 670 for now
I can see that you got your login points just over 2 hours ago.
I have seen that too but is there some thing wrong with my points
Why is that? You said you had 660 yesterday. You have 675 today after 1 comment on the “Toons” page.
Yes but yesterday I logged in at 12:15 PM and when I come back right that time I didn’t get any points, until I logged in at 6:00 PM and then I get the points. Anyway, I’ve recieved the points so just don’t worry about it
While the log I can view does not display the exact time, I’ve narrowed it down based on surrounding comments.
Yesterday, you received your daily points between 2am and 4am according to our server.
Today, you received your daily points between 2am and 3:15am
Seems to be working perfectly to me.
Can I have the Jedi Addict badge please?
SC20130531-002026.png
Thanks!
I aim at the acquisition of the Score Gatherer badge.
Because it is deleted, the comment does not understand the exact number of times, but succeeds in around ten times of identification until now.
Is identification of how much number of times necessary to get a badge?
Or I come forward from oneself, and is it good?
Hi, In Path of the Jedi I have a total of 3,419,180 but I can’t send a screen shot as I play on IPad at home and my phone at work. Can I just send in a shot of my Episode Total Score to receive Jedi badge?
Thank,
metoo3
Yes @metoo3. The Episode Selection screenshot is usually sufficient :)
@AMslimfordy. Thank you … There is a screen shot as well on my page.

Sorry @metoo3 I mean the episode selection screen from your app itself. Since anyone could input any scores here on ABN’s leaderboards, we need something a little more official.
@metoo3
At iPad you must press the sleep and home key.(To capture your screen)
If you can’t ,I think you can get a picture with your Digital Camera ( your Phone Camera) and put it in your “Album”!
Yes @amslimfordy she can do it?
Aha! The badges page. I didn’t know it existed. Fascinating to know who has what badge.
@AMslimfordy
There might be a bug here. When expanding the Danger Addict list, it doesn’t show all awardees (is that a correct word?), but it stops at tigersnana. Or is it technically not possible to show them all?
@Tinus there’s a numerical limit. We can look into expandin that somehow.
Oh, OK :-)
I opened a discussion in the Forum, which Slim suggested would be better placed here. A précis of my original post (as corrected by nesters with more knowledge than me!):
Ranks are earned by the number of visits, comments, etc, that each nester makes. No problem with that.
There are (or, should I say, were) twenty badges available. Fifteen are either voted for by members or awarded by Bird Leader and Slim for altruistic contributions.
Five are for flinging prowess:
Seasons Greedings 1-16 Feather – closed
Danger Addict – “An Elite Few” who achieved a certain number of points. Well, it’s closed now, so very elite
Jedi Addict – still active, much loved
Anchors Away – still active, much loved (but based on a glitch)
Underdog – still active, much loved
Only the five for flinging prowess! And two closed!
What badges would you like you like to see, to celebrate your achievements?”
Well, that’s what I posted. I have to say here @amslimfordy I had no intention of leaving you a huge list that could never be managed by the admins. Although I am not a mathematician, I can count, analyse and give a reasonable synopsis as to whether a suggested badge is feasible or not.
Two suggestions were posted:
@Burpie said “Perhaps an AB Master-badge for meeting the score addict requirement in all episodes”
I liked that one, until I looked into it. Poached Eggs has 1693 flingers who have score addict achievement, Mighty Hoax, 1452. You can work out the probabilities of how many have achieved it in all levels. Too many to make the badge feasible to manage or have any meaning.
Then @Rat posted “I would love to see a Top Twenty or Top Ten badge. A badge awarded to anyone that can improve their scores in every level of a World, Chapter, etc to above a certain ranking. For example, all levels of Trick or Treat in Seasons above top twenty. I think this would motivate a new level of play. It would also honour a flinger of prowess……..”
This badge is feasible, but would create a very exclusive club indeed. I play mainly Seasons, so looked at Hogs and Kisses (less levels than Trick or Treat, easier to calculate). Of the top five scorers for that level, not one has achieved a top twenty place in every level. Not even the great Moonsabre.
Neither of these suggestions provided the kind of ‘celebrating a darned good, as opposed to top, flinger’ badge that I had in mind.
I then looked back in this thread, and noticed two people (November 2011) asking for a Top Score Badge. I like this one. The admins gave two replies “being considered” and “looking at linking badges to the leader boards”. But it could be modified to make it even more exclusive, say for holding a number of Top Scores consecutively. In Seasons there are roughly six players with five to ten top scores, three with between eleven and twenty, and one with more than twenty (unsurprisingly its Moonsabre, who has forty four!!!!). Bronze (5+), silver (10+), and gold(20+) badges for Top Scoring seem, to me anyway, the way forward. Obviously, for a Top Score to count, it needs to be in a level that has been in existence for some time, as the Top Score changes hands frequently on release. If this can’t be linked to the leader boards, an application with screen shots should be easy to manage.
Another option would be a badge similar to Jedi Addict in Space, Seasons, Rio, and Original. One level, free of glitches, with a recognised level of difficulty, and an achievement level set by experienced flingers, would also provide an added bonus to us mere mortals to compete with flinging gods!
Any comments? Any more ideas? I’m prepared to evaluate any suggestions.
And, don’t forget, whatever we suggest, may be impossible for the awesome admins to achieve for technical reasons that I couldn’t even begin to imagine.
If you look back to 9/11/12, I made a suggestion of an “Above Average” badge that could be earned by achieving above average scores on all levels of a given AB game. At that time Slim commented that there wasn’t any linking between the badges and the Leaderboards.
To me this is the catch point on almost any badge that might be suggested. Without linking, Badges would have to be manually awarded. Any badge that could be awarded to more than a select few would be to difficult to manually manage. Any badge that could be manually managed would probably be so difficult to attain (read nearly impossible) that I doubt that any but a few hard line AB addicts would try for.
SO if I have a point here, it would be that coming up with a method to peruse the leaderboards (by computer) for award criteria needs to come first. Then almost any suggested badge becomes possible.
@hunnybunny–If you want to make the Top Score badge more accessible all you need do is set the minimum higher. For instance, a top Fifty badge. Personally, I think Twenty-Five or Twenty sounds about right. But I’m biased as I have already passed Top Fifty, Twenty-Five, Twenty, and even Ten. I’m currently only four sixth place scores away from Top Five in Pig Dipper. So you say nobody can/has attained Top Twenty-Five badge status. I say it’s doable and hasn’t been done by many only because they haven’t tried. BTW, What’s wrong with a badge for the Elite few? Normally human character makes something that is hard to get more desirable. For example, the Anchors Away badge is both tough and time consuming, but I constantly hear buzz about people trying to attain it.
As a way of wrapping up this lengthy reply, I would like to correct your statement above. At least one player other than Moonsabre has more than twenty Top Scores. Me!
@hunnybunny Interesting reading…a variation of what was presented.
Proposed New Badges:
1. Angry Birds Score Addict
2. Angry Birds Seasons Score Addict
3. Angry Birds Rio Score Addict
4. Angry Birds Space Score Addict
5. Angry Birds Star Wars Score Addict
Criteria for achieving each: Obtain the score that qualifies a player to meet/better the Score Addict Scores in each and every episode of each game, e.g., in ABs there are six of nine episodes that have Score Addict scores. A player would have to obtain six episode scores that would meet/better the Score Addict number in each episode (for this discussion an episode is made up of levels and each level has an individual score). The six score addict scores might be able to be obtained from each player’s leader board and badges automatically awarded to the player.
How rare or common would these be: I have been playing all the AB games and entering scores in ABN since 11/11 and I may qualify for one, Angry Birds Score Addict. In relation to the other four games (ABS, ABR, ABSpace, ABSW) I have not entered all my scores. Most do not equal the average score and are only 3 star scores.
The question of one’s score integrity may arise but that is always a consideration. If one used PUs to obtain the score, their scores would be erased and reentered (without PUs) and their badge would be revoked until they reach the score addict level without PUs.
Being an non-software person this my not be achievable in the Nest but just some ideas for consideration.
