I have 3 starred all AB levels and received all achievements except smash maniac…must be a bug. Anyone heard about this lately?
We had a brief conversation with a dev about this. Smash Maniac does not seemed to be bugged in its own right (that is, GameCenter has no flaws with registering). But if your settings file ever gets corrupted, it could reset the counter to 0.
Also, only “official blocks” (wood stone and ice/glass) count in the counter; they count as smashed immediately (that is, you don’t have to finish the level); golden egg levels count; blocks smashed by the Mighty Eagle do not.

Rovio should show in Game Center how many percent of Smash Maniac you already have, just as other games do.
Been considered, but I’m not sure if it’s possible to change that in GameCenter. That is, I think that style needs to be set when the app is first pushed to live. (Yes, there are certain things in GameCenter that cannot be changed in hindsight.)

I still say it’s bugged (or maybe my files got corrupted somehow) and I’d kill for a percentage or simply a way to view my current number of crushed blocks…
Guess I’ll keep trying, but I’m still going to tell everyone I’ve every non bugged achievement. I three starred everything, went back for scores for more achievements, etc. etc. I’ve put countless hours into the little buggers… I can’t imagine I’ve not smashed 500,000 yet but I’ll keep trying. Certainly nothing else to do since I’ve got all achievements in Rio and Seasons for the time being (Come on Wreck the Halls!!)
We have confirmed that it is not bugged. That is, the game correctly asks if(blocks smashed >= 500000). But corrupted settings files could still be an issue.
If you only played Golden Egg level 14 and if you smashed 50 blocks with each try, you must play Angry Birds for about 42 hours in order to smash 500’000 blocks.
If you play other levels, it even takes longer. If you smash 30 block per try and if one try takes only 30 seconds, you must play Angry Birds for 139 hours in order to get Smash Maniac. Are you sure you played that many hours?
In my case, I probably have! (Although mostly rio, which doesn’t help :() Haven’t got smash maniac either., although I’m sure i got block smasher at least ten times further ago!
I’d place money on having played that many hours or close to it. Seriously, Angry Bird Addict doesn’t even begin to accurately describe my condition. That’s why the achievement annoys me so much :)
Is there anyway to check if your settings file is corrupt? Anyway to uncorrupt it without losing all my scores and other achievements?
What really irks me with the whole mess is all Rovio has to do is provide some sort of display, counter, or even the little percantage thing like some other apps do (I understand what you’re saying AMslimfordy that they may not be able to do that, but SURELY a simple little display stating the total number of blocks smashed isn’t asking for something unreasonable)
The settings files are all encrypted, so there is no way to view them.
Keep on believing guys. Smash Maniac is possible. I have played AB ALOT during the last 10 months, and almost lost faith in acheivin it. Egg level 14 ten times in a row, several times a day, for about 2 months. And today – bam – there it was. Remember 500 000 blocks equalizes about 10 000 rounds on egg level-14 if you start from zero. Hope you all will get it through hardcore AB gaming. Keep motivated! It is acheivable!
Do you have iOS5? I thought that in iOS5, achievements cannot register???
No, haven’t updated yet.
iOS5.1 certainly can register achievements. Just realized today, shortly after upgrading to iOS5.1, that I didn’t have one of the secret achievements. Got it, and it registered fine.
Smash Maniac, on the other hand…. I’ve played golden egg 14 a lot over the last few weeks, but no achievement yet. And that’s after playing to get 3 stars on all levels and a bunch more playing afterwards trying to improve scores.

I agree. I first thought that it had to be a bug. I have replayed all the levels at least three times, and at a point I was among top-1000 on gamecenter. However, after reading a calculation from an AB-fan I realized that 500k is more blocks then we first imagine. For example: if you break an average of 25 blocks per level, this implies that you need to play 20 000 levels to achieve smash maniac. Considering there are approx 290 levels plus approx 25 egg-levels, it takes more than 60 tries on EVERY level on AB to achieve smash maniac. Think about it. Have you really played that much? Just saying..
I think there is probably a bug. In my case, I do have Smash Maniac in Seasons, but not in the original. I have played for hours, and still don’t have the achievement.
500k is a lot more than you are probably thinking. I don’t believe it is bugged.
Season’s smash maniac only requires you to destroy 50k blocks while ABo’s require 500k. It’s pretty obvious you need more effort to get it in the original version.
I play Angry Birds on my android phone. How do I get the points for my achievements?

I’ve completed all levels on the first angry birds game, maybe not all 3 starts but 100% all levels but i haven’t got one achievement at all.

API issue arose in iOS 5. If you are running iOS 5, then your achievements will register after the next Angry Birds update.
Kinda a random question but like most people I also have not gotten the Smash Maniac Acheivement and I want to know what would be the exact amount or best guessed amount of blocks in Angry birds combining the amounts in every normal level and Golden egg level. If this number of blocks could be found I think it would probabley give those playing the game a good guess on how far along they are.

Fun game. I have now three stars on all levels but have not find one single feather. How and where are these hidden? It says on the summary there should be like 30 of them and I can’t understand how i can have constantly missed them all!

Feathers are not found. They are earned for Total Destruction with the Mighty Eagle.
Just out of curiosity, how many people have actually received the Star Gatherer achievement. I got a total of 864. (Android user, just curious).
Many. Star Gatherer counts all stars, not just final. That is, you could sit and play Poached Eggs 1-1 500 times and get the achievement — assuming you earn 3 stars each time.

i have 57 of 59 achievements on original AB’s, however, the only one not showing is smash maniac. so, why dont i have 58 of 59 achievements. thanks in advance for any help fellow angry birder…ers.

You’re probably missing one of the three secret achievements. They’ve got the order on this page matching what you see in the GameCenter achievement list, so I’d suggest starting from the bottom and working your way up.

I play AB on iPod touch, I seem to earn achievements but I can’t access the page that shows you what ones you’ve achieved. Anyone else have the same problem?

I have a problem with Game Center. My Angry Birds language is english. But when I enter Game Center (either through the Game Center app or through the Angry Birds app), all my achievements are now written in German. It’s only in ABo, but not in AB Rio, AB Season, AB free, AB Seasons Free or AB Rio free.
How can I change the language of Game Center???
I would assume that GameCenter’s language is set by your Apple preferences. This sounds like something you should discuss with Apple directly.

I have another question: some achievement names are not completely readable in my Game Center (e.g. It only sais: “Oh Those Summer…”). How did you find out the full name of the achievement?

It’s just the screen display – if you turn the screen sideways it should show the whole word/title.

Yes, Rovio has confirmed that blocks smashed in Golden Egg levels count towards Smash Maniac. This makes GE14 the best bang for the buck, IMO.

It’s a forthcoming update. It will likely be “Smash 100______”, where the blank corresponds to some Item relevant to the episode.
Again a secret achievement? This is the 3rd AB game now which has received new achievements recently but only hidden ones, although they never used to be hidden till now.
Do you think this was Rovio’s intention? Or has it to do with the flawed Game Center?
It is Rovio’s decision. If you look at ABoFree, its new achievement is not hidden. I can’t tell you why though. I’m not too worried, we will find them all anyways ;)
Yes, you are right. In AB Free the new Theme VII achievement us not hidden. And the Big Brother and Boomerang Bird achievements in Rio were not hidden either.
Maybe it’s even more fun to get an achievement if you don’t know it before. :)

This is the secret cake achievement for ABo Happy Birdday, which you should add to the list of achievements.

Please do not use cheats or trainers as it can affect the leaderboards and even damage your PC.
hey, just wondering this…but is it possible for rovio to create a counter for blocks smashed (as a solution to the smash maniac problem) inside the game, while not connected to GC? for example, doodlejump has a stats page that has recorded your total# of bounces on monster’s heads, how many UFOs bounced on, how many hours played, your records for multiplayer and etc. i believe, not 100% certain of this, that it is not conected to GC and is built into the game. if this is true, wouldn’t rovio be able to include that somehow?
I don’t really know. Maybe you can bring it up to Rovio by emailing them. This is a fan website. We don’t really have control on what Rovio should add to their games.

I started tracking on my own – a piece of paper and a mark every 10 blocks. Took forever, but finally got it. I, too, thought it was a bug, but as they keep saying, 500K is more than you think!
Game Center shows that there are 60 Achievments but the ABnest list above only
has 59! What is the missing achievement or is Game Center wrong?
Relax. There is an update due this weekend which includes an additional achievement.

Today I updated my iPad to 5.0.1. I also completed my Score Addict 6. However, my completion was not registered in my achievements. Yes, I have Game Central and I receive a Welcome Back whenever I enter AB. I have turned off iPad and turned it back on. Still no acknowledgement of my achievement. Can you help? Thanks so much!
There is an API issue in iOS 5. The issue has been fixed in Seasons, Rio, and ABFree. It will be fixed in the original Angry Birds with tomorrow’s update.

Just got the cakemonger achievement!
Level 18-15 hit the tnt on the right corner, then a chest will appear on the left lowest corner destroy it with the w/b and an other tnt will explode in order to collect the secret cake which is located in the middle lower part of the level!

The trick is to clear the right side of the level with the orange bird. It leaves a nice clear path to hit the last TNT.
I have just purchased and played with the mighty eagle however I still haven’t gotten the aquiline benefactor achievement? I’ve tried restarting my iPhone and checking for updates but it just isn’t coming up. Can u tell me if I have to do something special to get it or just wait a bit longer or is it gone never to be recovered :( thanks

How come the only new achievement for Birdday levels is the Secret Cake? Shouldnt there be an achievement if one finishes the levels?
GameCenter has a limit on the number of achievement points available. Since Angry Birds is approaching this limit, Rovio likely decided to forgo some of those achievements.
Similarly, you could say such an achievement does not align with the spirit of the episode, since there is no “3-star Egg” either.
Do you have to pop all the pigs and get the cake to get cakemonger? because i just destroyed the cake without the pigs and the achievement hasnt shown up yet.
No, destroying the cake is sufficient. But doing so with the Mighty Eagle does not count. Did you have the screen darken and the cake scroll, like in our video?
everything happened the same as in the video. Ive signed in and out of game center multiple times, restarted my ipod and re did the achievement still no fix…ive got other achievements just fine except for the ones in ABSF and ABRF..
Oh and Stellarvore wont ever show up…do you need all feathers in Rio as well? I heard the fix is go back and 3 star all the last levels of each episode and it will work..Guess ill try.
Give the cake achievement some time. It will show eventually.
Stellarvore will be attainable after the last 15 levels are released.

Anything where you have 2 blue birds in a row, probably.
Personally, I would say fire an orange bird ( unlocked in birdday levels) expand it and then aim at it.

In ABo we are at a total of 900 points for all achievements now. So there would have been abolutely no problem to add another episode finish, episode 3 star and score addict achievement for Birdday Party.
Probably, but I would suspect Rovio want to release further updates, so need to allow some space for achievements for those levels
Unless they would rather use that space for the next episode.
Or probally Rovio are just busy, with the AB Seasons getting more episodes frequently.
