The wait is over! The most epic map of Angry Birds Epic’s Piggy Island is now just available for reference and personal use. The resolution of this map is … well … HUGE! For this reason we’ve only embedded the thumbnail above. To view the larger map just click here or on the image (feel free to share this, but please don’t link to the image directly, rather link to this post).
Note, if you download this map be sure to check back often as it will be continually updated. We’re also working on several different iterations and an interactive version; however, we wanted to go ahead and make this one available now.
This awesome map is just a small part of our Angry Birds Epic coverage. You can find all sorts of great walkthroughs and guides on our Angry Birds Epic landing page. Some helpful links for quick reference:

Thanks for checking it out and let us know what you think below. As always, we’re also open to ideas!
This is what I needed, thankies!
Amazing! Does this mean the app is soon to hit here in the states?
@burbman We don’t have that information, sorry.
AWESOMENESS!!! thx for this great map. Just what I needed to certify my craziness :)
Out of curiosity… Why is my Pig avatar by Magic Shield 5?
Because I am using it. ;)
Can you use friends birds on normal levels also? I don´t have any friends plying so I can´t know but I only thought it worked on dungeons and cave levels.
@birdleader Ha! Thanks :)
@bad-piggies-2 Thus far I have found that you can use friends on Dungeons and in the Chronicle Cave levels.
@spacemaster Lol I am one level n front of you in that map!
*in*
How come the whirlpool is not labeled?
The name on that level is incorrect currently. We’re going to wait for a bug-fix to label it properly.
Wow, what a great resource for playing the game. This maybe the “ticket” to enter the game full time. It does provide an outstanding road map for navigation and in a certain odd manner, motivation. Thanks to the creators of the map.
@Bird Leader Can you also make a list with all the materials and what we usally use them for in the game?
I agree with this point. I’m more than halfway though and still I don’t recognize fully the weapons and offhand items. Do I use the resources to build new weapons? and when I do, then I’m allowed to use it for just a number of time? If someone can give like a detailed explanation of the nest part, that would be amazing..
@joeyba @ chiiyuen0109 That’s exactly right You earn resources through gameplay and can use those resources to craft better weapons, shields, and offhand items (hats are not crafted0. You unlock various items by passing a level that leads to a resource station.
Once at the station you can use snoutlings, or sometimes lucky coins, to to purchase them. Once purchased they are unlocked and can crafted via the anvil, assuming you have the necessary resources (if you don’t, simply go back and play a level to earn more of said resource).
After crafting begins a dice is rolled. The number of stars rolled (zero to three) determines the power or strength of that item. If you roll a zero or one you can re-roll later to try and increase that item’s strength. Note, re-rolling requires resources as well.
The Golden Pig machine is yet another way to earn weapons, shields, and offhand items. Rolls of the Golden Pig machine require Lucky Coins and don’t guarantee a powerful item, but many times they do produce one. You can also use a friend’s Golden Pig machine once a day. This is a great way to get a free roll and fill up your Rainbow Bar. Once the Rainbow Bar is filled the subsequent roll will produce a high quality item.
Hope this helps! (I realize it’s not a replacement for your suggestion)
Okay. Thanks!
Last I heard, the app is scheduled for a worldwide release this April so it should be out this upcoming Thursday.
Where did you hear that from?
If it is true then it is really awesome!
@trainman2012 rovio confirmed it will not launch this week, wikia says april, but that is not officale, also wikipedia says december 31 2014… also not official and everyone can edit that… not date yet
Wikipedia now say “Worldwide – May 1″…
@king-sling-pro Wikipedia could say Octembruary 43rd, and it still wouldn’t make it true. Unless it has a reference to a Rovio-official portal, it’s nothing but unjustified speculation.
lol @Octembruary 43rd :)
Octembruary 43rd.. I lol’d
Thanks a lot! This map is very handy.
It’s way bigger than i expected…
…That’s a really big map. I didn’t even think ABE had this much content!
And this isn’t even all of it!
I’m surprised that the Friendship Gates aren’t open. What’s up with that?
Each friendship gate requires five Facebook friends to unlock. Alas, even I don’t have that many friends playing Epic yet. It would be nice to see Rovio allow Game Center friends to be used to unlock these gates.
What if I don’t use Facebook, and thus have no friends :(
@burbman There are other ways of unlocking the Friendship Gates: see here.
But as @BirdLeader said, we have asked Rovio to consider adding GameCenter support for the Friends List. So we’ll see how that goes.
@birdleader @amslimfordy This is a really really really great map! Thank you very very much.
But as it was mentioned before, it is very easy to open friendship gates by paying some coins. So I wonder why the levels behind the gates are missing on the map. Will you update the map once you have unlocked them? In order to have a really complete map?
@chriss Yes we will update the map when we unlock those levels. For now, we are focusing on some other aspects before diving in that direction.
doesnt the gate before bamboo forest needs a blue key?
Yeah, looks like I missed that one. I’ll get it updated.
@birdleader: a yellow key is also missing (on Desert Island)
Looks great. But when will EPIC be available in the US, and on what platforms? I’m a PC user and it seems new (whatever it may be) come to PC last. Thanks.
@pat Rovio is not gonna release it for PC, they told me. :(
It’s missing a legend. I figured out that the “hand” icon next to a level name indicates that it is a “wave” stage (a “waving” hand, haha), but that’s it. The colors seem to be significant, but I haven’t been able to figure out exactly what they mean.
@dr_ishmael You’re absolutely right, a legend would be very helpful. This is actually one of many maps I am producing, so I will get something added.
Note, the colors are actually not significant. I thought about trying to give each land a separate color, but alas with so many labels it didn’t work out as expected. The colors now purely help different labels stand out against the varying background colors of the map itself.
Ah, that clears it up. I’ll stop driving myself insane looking for patterns now. Thanks!
@BirdLeader — Epic indeed! Have you or Slim reached the end of the game yet? Seems like one could spend more time on this game alone than the rest of AB.
@mvnla2 I’m in Cave 3, while BL is in Cave 1.
@AMSlimfordy — Since I don’t play the game yet, I don’t know what cave 1 and 3 mean. How close do you think you are to the end? I’ve seen walkthrough after walkthrough, but don’t know how much more there is.
@mvnla2 We have 157 walkthroughs posted right now. That’s the “normal gameplay” sequence. There’s an additional 6 levels that would likely qualify as “normal gameplay” that we haven’t posted yet.
There’s also levels behind “Friendship Gates”. We haven’t unlocked those yet, but that’s likely a dozen or so levels.
Finally, there’s 5 “Caves”, each of which feature ten 10-wave battles. They are pretty challenging and rather slow-going, since you have to borrow from friends.
@amslimfordy when will The Angry Birds Epic coming out on Android?
@HanzVSGaming As we’ve said in many comments above, we do not have any timeframe for a worldwide release date, nor do we know what platforms will be supported.
@HanzVSGaming @AMslimfordy Yes Rovio official confirmed yesterday in theair blog that it will come to both iOS and Android: https://www.angrybirds.com/blog/an-introduction-to-angry-birds-epic
Well this was kind of funny. For a few weeks ago I contacted Rovio Support team because 20 of my lucky coins just disappeared for no reason. Yesterday they said they would give me 100 lucky coins and I did get 100 lucky coins in my game (it went trough my rovio account). But then later I saw I had over 3000 lucky coins! Well, then I purchased everything in every shop that I had not purchased before and then I regret that I did that as it felt like cheating. SO I contacted them again and told them about it. And then the support team said that they by mistake sent me 3000 more lucky coins…
Now it still feels weird having everything in the game now. It doesn´t really feel like I have earned it. But I guess it should not b considered cheating as it´s only the special items for the birds and a few potions from the lab that I got. The challenge is still there as I´m only at the second cave.
You’re not cheating. That’s Rovio’s mess-up and you might as well use it.
If you haven’t gotten to the Sea Dog (Bomb’s final class) save 275 gold
coins for that. it’s a great character- just expensive.
@spacemaster Well I know it´s not really cheating, but it´s still not s fun. I don´t know why. Just feels weird having so many lucky coins.
I have got the sea dog (I have everything from every mini shop on the map)and it seems to be really god. But I don´´t use bomb so often.
@spacemaster Thank you for the tips! I have now used the sea dog and it is really fantastic! I even three atarred the final boss with it :)
Will there be a Chronicle Cave map?
We will have another map.
I see on the map that wherever there is the “NEW” items stations, these are still “NEW” meaning you did not get them. Did you finish most of the game just with the basic classes?
Why did you not label the vortex?
We will update it in the next wave.
@birdleader @chriss @trishohara
This is what I have in the Nest so far:
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/joeyba/album/picture/9281/
Can you share some pics to see what’s missing please?
r there 9 levels behind 4 Friendship Gates?
I don’t see anything missing.
On epic.angrybirds.com I only see South Beach, Cobalt Plateus and the area where the pigs stole the eggs.
Yes because the game was not released yet worldwide.
Thanks
I would like to suggest a list of the levels and the loot in each. That way I’ll know where to go when I need a certain item.
That’s over 225 levels… I don’t think this is a great use of time or resources.
You can tap on the flags on the map and then you see at least the main price of each level. This is sufficient. Each loot is main price in at least one level.
Sorry, I meant main prize.
I can’t move from golden fields 3 to golden fields 4. Do you have to have a certain amount of stars or something?
It is unlocked later on in the storyline.
How come when I play eastern bamboo forest 2 ( You need to open a friendship gate )
it only lets me bring two birds and/or I can borrow piggymc’cool. It says only two birds are allowed.
Just like with Dungeons, some levels beyond Friendship Gates require your third bird be borrowed from a Friend.
I noticed that this map is incomplete – the friendship gates are not open and the Vortex is not labeled. I have a better account that has all friendship gates open, all keys, and 3 stars on all levels outside Chronicle Cave. If you wish, I could update the map for you.
The water tornado near the dessert is a secret level. I need a walkthrough for it.
