The latest Angry Birds update (v1.6.3) is now available iOS devices and Android via the Android Marketplace and Amazon Appstore. We will keep you posted as other marketplaces / devices receive this update. Thanks to all the users here who let us know about this. This update comes on the heels of a update which saw the Mighty Eagle finally land in Angry Birds Seasons. The v1.6.3 includes:
- 15 new levels — some of which are very tough — in the final chapter of Mine and Dine (3 star walkthroughs)
- There are be two new Golden Eggs (spoilers in the comemnts below), one hidden, and one for 3 starring all levels of Mine and Dine. Our Complete Golden Egg walkthrough has been updated, so if you need help check it out (the 25th and 26th eggs are at the bottom)
- Looks like the bug preventing users from receiving the Feather Picker and Feather Collector achievements has been fixed, but reports say it can take time to register.

GOLDEN EGG ALERT #26! Mine and Dine level 17-12, shoot the white or yellow bird and get the chest above the rocks.
I’ve always wondered if there’d ever be a “golden egg inception” where in the golden egg level you can unlock another golden egg. I was hoping something would reward me for getting the chest in golden egg #26 but it doesn’t :( Let me know if you’re able to get the chest too, I found it a little tricky.
i hit the chest too , but it only give me 500 point , nothing inside..
Ah, I saw that and thought that since it was a chest and not golden egg that it was a red herring. I suppose I should have tried anyway.
I can confirm this. It took a few tries, bit I finally hit the chest with a yellow bird and got golden egg #26.

Android updates always come out roughly a week (give or take) after iOS updates. So wait a couple of days, and you’ll be right as rain :)

It really depends. It can be one or two days, or can be up to a week or so. Just have to wait and see.
That’s only true for Rio. Other apps are usually only a day apart at most.
Should clarify, Android Marketplace updates usually take about a week. I would think the Amazon Appstore update will land soon — at least it has in the past.

thanks ! RIO takes more time cause amazon has the exclusivity, but in the original version it takes less time, but could be 2 days or a week but i’m not hurry.

Good grief! While it hasn’t landed in my Amazon App store yet, can I just say how freaking IMPRESSED I am with Rovio??? They have really been keeping us on our toes lately with updates. I was expecting the Moon Festival update in Seasons to be next, and they go and slip this one in.
I don’t think I’ve ever known a company this committed to consistently surprising and delighting their fans. (Well, there’s that mouse in Florida… but that’s a completely different medium.) As much as I love this game, I love watching Rovio even more. They continue to impress me with every new update.
I know, I was the same. I was watching my updates for the Moon Festival, because Gamcentre has the achievements for it, and BAM! Mine and Dine update is now available! I have to say, nice job Rovio. Nice job. 3 stars on all but 2 levels already ;P
Yes I always appreciated Rovio until I switched to PC. We only get updates every three months with everything in between, makes us happy, then two seconds later an update comes and we have to wait three more months for all the games excluding Seasons since the stupid game didn’t even come out yet.
Rovio is making an active effort to decrease the delay in Mac/PC releases. Before criticizing, perhaps we should see how long until other platforms release? Only seems fair, yaknow.
Plus, take into account how many platforms they work across and think about how small of a company they are. They have done an AMAZING job with a very small team of dedicated people!

Did anyone even get 3 Stars on 17-2?
Yes, I think the minimum is 90K (89+ was 2 stars, 91+ gave me 3). Little Red through the bottom left wood on the upper structure, will push the rest to the right unto the TNT. 1st Yellow through diagonal wood on lower left, 2nd Yellow for bonus points. Takes luck, depends on amount of wood destroyed. Good luck!
You might want to mention to restart your devices if you game crashes. It did not work when I put it on airplane mode
Had to restart twice myself….. Kept crashing on open. Guess it didn’t take the first time.
By the way, the feather achievement bug is fixed!!!!!

I have found a new glitch. When you release the egg from the white bird, it turns flat, as usually does. But when a different bird touchs it or things fall on it, it maks the bird look like you have forgotten to release the egg.

I thought the end animation was a little bit ambiguous. It panned across as it usually does but didn’t pan far enough to show a possible continuation of the story.

Why Symbian is still in v1.6.0? Update is probably coming straight to this v1.6.3, or what do you think? Hopefully even that Moon Festival is coming in time to Symbian…

Why always Symbian is left behind in this matter?
I would think it’s a different coding structure if something along those lines.
Finally new levels. I wonder what the next chapter will be or if they will just release a new app “Angry Birds 2”.
If we have some good insight into the minimum 3 star score for a level, where do we post that info?
Or do you guys determine that on your own? I imagine a bunch of us posting 2 and 3 star scores could be a lot to keep up with.
For example, 17-1… 96000 is 2 stars. 98000 is 3 stars. So 97k or 98k is 3 star minimum.

Is this the final update or will new episodes be added in the future? When should I expect this to hit the PC version? (I’m using the standalone version, not the AppUp version.)

There’s some really tough levels in here! I’ve 3 starred most of them, but 17-7 I can only get one star on, despite doing it with only two birds (after many attempts). It will take me a while to get the 3 star achievement here. I like it when it’s more challenging like this!
If you think those levels are tough, try getting 3 stars on the levels in Ham ’em High. That episode is already the hardest in the game.
I think I’m finding mine and dine harder. I have 3 stars on every level prior to this episode, and don’t recall any being as tough as some of these, at least for me.
I think there is a bug here. It’s not counting one of my left over birds into my score. Specifically the red one. I’ve done it twice with 2 birds and should have had a score of 25250 and only got a 15250
Odd. I’ve had no issues with it. Odd that you’re getting scores that low in general…
Level 17-4 make me nervous, how did you get 3 stats? I have 77 840 score and 1 star…
By being clever!
– Zoom out
– Fire the boomerang bird BACKWARDS and then tap to make it return underneath the platform you started on. This will take a few goes. When it works it hits TNT underneath the purple jewel. Don’t worry if the bird bounces off the floor first. This shot, when I got it right netted me over 70,000
– Mop up what’s left.
— I fired the second boomerang bird backwards but higher to take out all that remained except the pig on the right
— Bomber bird to get the pig on the right
— Yellow bird remaining
End score = 100,750 and three stars
Agree with Pete’s strategy. This is actually a fun level, but you need to think outside the box a bit. The video walkthrough may help!
3 starred everything except 17-7 now, which I still only have 1 star on!

decimated everything in the level with 2 birds left 122000 still 2 stars rovio messed this one up hard its the only level in everything angry birds i have taken more than 2 hours on.

17-12 is incredibly hard. Rovio must have taken my advice seriously when I said they were making the new levels too easy!

I don’t understand that. Before this update all original AB update came to android platform in the same time than iOS. Why is it late now??
