Our strategy for Angry Birds Seasons Haunted Hogs level 1-13 is to fling both Blue birds into the ice blocks atop the structure. Use a Yellow bird to collapse the bridge, then snipe any remaining pigs with another Yellow bird. The score in the video is 85,360.

I used a different strat here with using 3 birds.
1st Blue- To the front part of the tower and you need to destroy how many ever ice blocks you can.
2nd Blue- Use it to clear the path for Yellow and clear some ice blocks if any on the front.
3rd Yellow- Straight out front so that it breaks the wooden blocks and towers from the left and the chain reaction causes the whole bridge to collapse.
This is the same strat that earned 100K for me. The luck factor just kicked in and most of the wood and strawberries were destroyed. Sorry I don’t have a magic shot to share!
Thanks IAm mighty got 96990 with this strat.
Happy Halloween to me!

Cleared most of the glass and finished off with yellow.
Thanks for posting your strategy iammighty. Basically used the same strategy. There was some luck involved with the right side pig with the wood on it and to get it rolling so it can be destroyed when it falls. It finally happened.
Every 5 or so starts, the top center begins sliding to the right and sometimes it takes both the top pig and the lower right pig as well, so your initial no bird score is between 7-14k, sort of like a tidbit to get you in the “spirit” of the game. After that, just do as the video shows and you might get a decent score.
@werewolf69 — There is a forum on self-destroying and unstable levels. I put a note of this to include it there, but it would help if you post any other self destruction you find in the forum. Thanks
@wherewolf69 — Gaah! I restarted 30 times and didn’t see any movement that would indicate some self destruction was coming. How long does it take to see the start of motion? What device do you play on? I play in iPad. Are you zoomed in or out (my definition of in is that everything is bigger; some people seem to use the opposite definition)?
@mvnla2, the werewolf is here, you need to be patient, the movement is very spirit like, slow and in little spurts, and happen it does, I just went to the episode and had it happen the second restart, remember, be veeeery patient.
ps. I will put whatever other unstable levels I find, in the forum.
@WereWolf69 — Just how patient do you have to be, as in how many seconds to notice motion, and how many for collapse? Patience is not a virtue easily required while playing ABN.
@mvnla2, normally I don’t have a time log book to enter seconds or minutes passed between events, I only write about what I experience during the game, and patience is a virtue that you’ll need if you want to be the source for said events.
These events, when they happen, usually catch you by surprise, at times even after you’ve launched your first bird and it hasn’t touched anything.
If I can have the patience to play one single episode hundreds of times over and over to achieve a higher score or to search for anomalies, then you can also learn to wait and be patient as to how long the events actually take and prepare a log form for you to enter such data.
This is worse than watching grass grow; it’s watching ice melt in a very cold haunted house.
@mvnla2 4 years later, while i see no visible signs of movement, i got 20 points immediately after restart on about my 10th? Restart(wasn’t really counting).
I’ll let you know if I see anything else, I know you’ve already documented it in the SD forum but it’s still good to know after all this time it may still happen :/
Any non-PC user seen this happen? I think this is a sop Rovio has thrown at PC users to make up for not getting updates right away and having to play with the lousy PC interface. ; ) Turns out this was next on my list to make above average, so I’ve been playing this a lot this morning. Never once did I see any collapse (although I may not be patient enough).
@werewolf69
I swear that it just happened for me on the first restart after reading this! It seemed that it starting falling within a few seconds of the start; the whole structure bounced and, while it was slow in falling, it was noticeable. It took out most of the ride side for 14590 points. Thanks for posting this, I might not have ever noticed!
Oh, but it still didn’t help me with improving my score, though… LOL
@jtb, That’s the same way it happened to me, I was about to launch Big Brother when I noticed the clock was swaying and I stopped, but it gave me about 38000 points and I did improve my old score with that assist from the game.
Just for the heck of it I began restarting several times and it did it again twice, but always with different score amounts.
I guess if you happen to get it with a high amount of points it can help to augment your score somewhat, unless, it clogs the area with so much debris that you can’t do anything, then you’d have to restart again.
@jtb, I’m sorry, I got this episode mixed up with the other one with the clock and floating trays.
Yes this one only gives a small amount of points which don’t really amount to much help.
92,250 by high arch with each of the 1st 3 birds. Launch each blue so that you’re aiming to take out the left & right ice block towers…this left fairly clear path to launch 1st yellow high up on an arc down towards the middle of the horizontal wooden plank holding the “Frankenpig” … Aim for the middle where the black chain is attached. Some of the remaining debris collapses into the middle & the remaining pigs on right & left rolled into the middle with the debris. There’s A LOT more points left, but I was glad to see all those devilish pigs die & a score high enough for 3*.
Diff easy strategy: #1 BB strike at closest vertical base into wood close to ice and above steel destroying base. #2 BB into second base exactly same as #1. Now YB into into lower main chamber which destroy everything left. 50% of time far right Pig also goes leaving a 10k RB and a score above 90,000. Certainly the easiest route.
Thanks! Indeed by hitting the wood there is much more destruction than by hitting to ice
@bogart-name Thanks! Your strat got me above average on this one.
3 stars first try!
Correction: Leaves YB and Red Bird 20K for 90K plus.
Had trouble with this one and still trying to get over average; but in the course of my trials, was able to verify that
2* – 82490
3* – 83710
I used a similar but slightly different method. I think there’s alot of luck involved in how much of the center is cleared. You need most of the falling ice pieces to crush from the top middle structure.
Here’s a few tips: I aimed first bird straight ahead aming for the horizontal ice plank and split just before impact. This breaks the ice plank and the first wooden block and most if not all of the top left ice should crumble and tumble leftward. Alot of times the cement block will fasll too.
Second shot is almost the same trajectory, but slightly higher also splitting late so that when you split the birds, the bottom one should get the second wooden block to fall or break and the top birds of the split should get as much of the ice blocks as possible so they won’t be there to get cluttered up after the third shot. On my highest score here the wooden block did NOT break, it leaned a little but I got some of the ice to break and some slid left, which I think is key.
Third shot, send YB very low and flat and accelerate just after leaving the sling so that he has alot of speed. He should cut through the wood block (if it’s still there) and on through the intersection of the two long, thin vertical and horizontal wooden planks. The rest of the pigs and structure should crumble down. The less ice you have to crush the better. I got 98600 with only one damaged ice block left. I only got three of the strawberries. The ice and wood is where the points are.
I revisited this one and am revising my strategy slightly in order to produce higher scores.
I find the second shot unnecessary to weaken the second post as the #3, YB is usually strong enough to pierce number two vertical post and the lower chamber. Instead use it to shot the remains above post one. This netted an additional 6,000 for me.
This was the most frustrating level for me! For others struggling….
I used a combo of the strats.
First: I restarted until the right side slid and killed both right pigs. The slide happened very inconsistently. Sometimes in four or five restarts; sometimes more than 25. And then it didnt always kill both pigs. But since the right pig had been my nemesis, I knew I had to be patient and wait for it.
Next: both BB aimed carefully to open a good hole on the bottom left. Clearing that side was crucial to avoid nicking on of the cement blocks and having to use the second YB.
Finally: YB into the pit low and from the left. Luck will determine the number of strawberries you get, but they’re worth 500 each so good luck.
Two bonus birds. Most of my strawberries were intact 6 or 8 or more. So well over 100k is possible.
Hope that helps. :-)
@treblig-ds) I realize this is an old post, and if your still around I’d like to give you a giant Bear Hug!! Thanks sooooo much for posting your strat! ! I didn’t have the advantage of the right side collapsing but your post gave me hope to have the patience, Persistence and practice, what we old time Nesters call the 3 P’s , and I made spot #20 on the boards :)
(((((((HUG ))))))))
After my first 2 shots, I always seem to leave 1 bird. Usually its the last one, and sometimes the first one, but always there is one of them. Between that and poor aiming, getting an above average score is going to be an effort.
A lot of strats, sorry haven’t taken the time to read them all, but I used the simular method as @iammighty. Clear as much ice with the 2 blue birds, making sure the front of the structure is clear of ice. Send the yellow bird straight thru taking out the horizontal wooden plank and everything collapsed. 2 birds left and I got 97200 this way.
Here is my video.
Wow. This one is a misery. I don’t think I’ve seen blue birds so ineffective against glass or ice in any other level. I’ve run through AB for score addict and now, since it seems we won’t see a new Halloween episode this year, I’m playing the existing haunted episodes to be above average in every level. This one is within 400 points but it just will not happen. Sigh. I will say that the advice to aim for the wood yields better results but not better than my current personal best, sadly. Good luck to anyone else revisiting this one. : )
@Karen68 @hunnybunny The eye in the picture doesn’t blink anymore:/ as seen in @e-star video. .weird
Lol @karen68 @hunnybunny a year later and the eye is blinking again ?
