The competition is heating up in the FIFA World Cup, which is down to the final eight teams. While marmosets and macaws alike flock to Rio, our favorite feathery friends are arriving on a device near you! Angry Birds Seasons South HAMerica (v4.1.0) is now available for iOS and Android via Google Play, with more platforms coming soon!
This is the first content-based update to Seasons this calendar year, and most of the staff agrees that it’s their absolute favorite Angry Birds app. So enough blabbing already, and let’s talk about content!
This update includes:
- 24 new levels geographically centered in the southwest quadrant of our humble globe! Our walkthroughs are live if you need help.
- New Golden Eggs! There are two hidden in-game (please don’t say here — some people might want to find ’em themselves) and the Big Aztec Calendar level unlocks by 3-starring all 24 levels.
- Pig Days! Now we are only speculating here but since we are calling the 3-star Golden Egg the “Big Aztec Calendar”, we’re guessing this will be an Advent-style set of levels! It starts in 16 days, or around July 19th. This marks the beginning of Huey Tecuilhuitl, the Feast for the Greatly Revered Ones.
- No new achievements for iOS, which is expected since the SD version is completely full and the HD version only has 4 points available.
- Pro Tips! Gold Coins and Golden Idols are worth 3,000 points each!
A few other minor additions and changes. Super Seeds has been renamed “Power Potion”. The Seasons packages have been re-renamed: We’re back to calling them Seasons 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 (Oy!). And of course, the new app icon is sweet!

- 16 Days until Pig Days!
Overall pretty easy, 3-starred all but 3 levels on the first pass. Boss level is a little different and may give some people problems. This is only the second Seasons 2014 update and previous years have had at least three, so hopefully we’ll get another update later in the year too.
I agree the boss level can be a little hard.
Believe it or not… the final boss level, was easy.
This level, depends on physics. Use each bird, to keep the pendulum swinging. Timing is of the essence, and keep hitting the lower part each time it goes to swing towards the structure. Three starred it first time.
Unlike, lvl 6… which so far.. seems to be much harder.
Well as usual very fun, very cool. Amazing settings and colors. Love this classic app.

By the way, why is it SOUTH Hamerica, when it’s celebrating a Mesoamerican (Aztec — actually NORTH American) month/holiday? Do the Finns really think all Latinos are from “down over there somewhere”? (With a big :D to my Finnish girlfriend.)

Eagle after all pig pop still not fix. It still add 10k to your score.
I have found a bug where you call the Mighty Eagle and it loads the can of sardines on the slingshot, but then you can pull it back and it ends the level and gives you stars. Is that what you are talking about as well?

You do not need pull it back, after all pig pop, tap eagle eye, wait a while, level will clear.
If happen on level that required more destrution like a level on Rio, will be a problem on some user, 10k added.

Something else is new: you can use Mighty Eagle several times now (without waiting for one hour) to skip levels.

I noticed that if you use the Eagle, then pass the next level within an hour, you get the Eagle back.
Exactly. The Mighty Eagle is only locked for the next level, but afterwards you can use it again.
Played all the levels and obtained 3 stars. Needed the ABN video on two levels. Fun game to play and the exciting part is the concept of Pig Days. My speculation was that, there are 14 blank spaces on first screen that provides a new level for each time period which would be a countdown to the second screen which could be the release of a new game, maybe Stella.
I think the pig days is going to be another advent calander

To be honest, im glad that Rovio hasnt turned the pigs into the Chrome/Toons versions. It is now the only Angry Birds app with the classic piggies, and thats great!

@PJng Looking through the rest of Rovio’s tweets, I think they were confused. They had been responding to several questions about AB:Epic for PC, saying there were no plans. We VERY HIGHLY believe that Seasons will continue to be updated for PC.

MAC? I just downloaded Seasons to my Mac and was super-irritated to find out afterward that the S. Hamerica levels were not included. Sure would have been nice if they mentioned that beforehand. I just went to the S. Hamerica homepage, clicked on purchase for Mac, and downloaded it. Bummer!
