The Angry Birds Seasons Wreck the Halls update (v2.1.0) is now available for iOS, Mac, PC, Nokia, and Android via the Android Market and Amazon Appstore. Other platforms will be getting the update very soon. This update — which we first leaked about two weeks ago — celebrates the Christmas Season and is very similar to Seasons Greedings in that it counts down like an advent calendar with one new level per day!
Update: Seasons HD (iPad) has received a v2.1.1 update, which presumably fixes the loading issue on 1st generation iPad.
Another Update: HD v2.1.2 has landed and should fix the launch issue once and for all.
This update includes:
- 25 new levels with one new level unlocked every day just like Seasons Greedings and Summer Pignic
- 4 new achievements (Smash 300 cookies; Pass all 25 levels; 3-star all 25 levels; and Score Addict)
- More Golden Eggs to be found (we will update as we find them)
- A “Big Cookie” bonus level that is unlocked when you 3 star every level
- Per Rovio, “on the last day you’ll meet the big pig himself!
Bug Fixes:
- The Trick or Treat Golden Egg Flip-Flop bug (Bug 27) has been resolved! So we may be pushing the Seasons Golden Eggs Leaderboard live soon!
- The Facebook/Twitter Disappearing Stars bug (Bug 28) has been resolved as well.
- Seasons is now 100% bug-free!!!! (Note that the Easter Score Addict bug is not fixable.)
Notes:
- Wreck the Halls 3-star walkthroughs are live. Daily walkthrough pages will go live at 12 AM PST (8 AM UTC), so be sure to check back every day. The actual video will be added to the page as soon as it’s ready, but the page is there for your comments and strategies.
- You must be connected to the internet the first time you play a level (only the first time for each level) so that it can download the level file and check the date (this prevents early access).
- The leaderboards are also live. Again, please be patient with brand new levels; we will update the leaderboards during the day.
Rovio has also released a Gameplay Trailer (seen below) and a Christmas comic. Finally, there is a major update to Chrome Beta, so be sure to check out these other posts as well.

Anyone experiencing stability problems with the latest update? I have an iPad 1, ios 5, and ab crashes constantly, sometime right after launching the app, sometimes after reloading the first level…..
Most users have reported that this issue is fixed after a full device restart.

The high, snowy mountains in the background of Wreck the Halls are reminding me of another wonderfully strange Finnish holiday item – the movie Rare Exports. The pig head at the beginning of the movie helps, too….

Oh yeah. The golden egg for trick or treat disappears, but all you have to do is go back to level 3-2 and obtain it again.
Seems to happen for some, not others. Mine was fine.
Hey, I got seasons when ham o ween came out, ang got the GE on trick or treat. Now the big pumpkin is unlocked, though I still need 3-stars on 4 levels, and my Golden Egg is gone. Does this have to do with that bug fix?
Okay I just got the golden egg again and finished it, (And it’s different than the one I had) but the pumpkin is still unlocked, so I can play the level. Is this supposed to happen?

See if you can answer this: I somehow unlocked all the levels, but I can’t actually play them. When I first updated it said how long it would be till they would open. Now when I tap them, they open and say “loading” I didn’t do anything imperticular, so I don’t know what’s going on…
I just can’t get ABChrome to Lauch on Chrome. If I go to SD version , after the ABChrome pic the loading never ends.
If I go to HD version all the pics are black (including the rovio logo)
BTW I forgot, I’m running the newest version of ABChrome

Update: Just Reinstalled Without clearing cache Using SD version Without Problems. I Guess Chrome Was Trying to update the Pics.
iPhone 3G, iOS 4.2.1
This version crashes at loading screen just like v2.0.0 as well. I’ve emailed Rovio twice already in the past month or so and never a reply back. Original and Rio work perfectly, so it’s got to be a bug, contrary to Rovio’s statemenet about Seasons being bug free.
1) Rovio did not claim that. I claim it. There are no universal or widespread bugs.
2) Try restarting your device completely.
3) If not, backup your progress using our method and then delete the app. Reinstall, play one level, then restore your progress.
I’ve been trying that since v2.0.0 came out. Playing one level, as you say to do, after reinstalling, is not an option, because the app never gets the far. Ever. Upon launching, I get the white Rovio company screen and then Angry Birds Seasons title screen where it says “loading” in the bottom-right corner. It’ll stay here for a few seconds (up to 30, one time), go black, then back to the sprindboard. I’ve restarted, rebooted, uninstalled, reinstalled, everything else I can think of. It just never works.
…and it’s not just me experiencing this either. When 2.0.0 was released, the review comments on the appstore mentioned the same problem from a few other people too.
Could be your settings file. I’ll write you a mail.
Didn’t work either. It’s not a problem on my end; it’s the app itself, as there are other people who are experiencing it as well. I’m looking at the reviews for v2.1.0 specifically at the moment, and I count approx. thirteen reviews as of Dec. 2, 4:22am, Pacific time, that are speaking of this exact issue. So again, I know for a fact that it’s a bug in the app that started with 2.0.0 and continues on in this verion.
Sorry, but I’m not sure what to tell you. We have had very very few reports of this happening, and most of them were solved via restart or settings files. If you have tried restarting and reinstalling the app, it is likely an issue with your device. You’re best bet is to write another mail to Rovio being as specific as possible.
yes got updated automatically for PC. so no need of direct links for me… My score is 110k in 1st level….
Sorry if already answered, the extra 4 achievements don’t show in my Gamecentre regardless if going in direct or from the game. Help?
Nothing to help. They are secret achievements.
FYI, if you change the date to next year and then load the game, if you go across to the golden egg area, you can see a golden egg.
However please note you cannot access it (as eventually it tries to connect to Rovio servers) but it does tell you it is available in 29 days (which is strange as there are only 25 levels lol):

I wouldn’t play with dates too much as you might confuse important apps on your device.

But the level will only be available in more than 27 days. Does this mean that this Golden Egg should appear automatically on the 31st December?

It was always named Moon Festival

Hey slim, is it normal for the PC version of Angry Birds Original, Seasons, and Rio to have music skipping or studdering sometimes?
Have you tried rebooting your computer to see if it’s a memory issue?
I have a:
AMD Athlon II X2 M300 (2.0GHz Dual-Core Processor)
4GB RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
320GB Hard Drive
It only does it rarely but is kind of annoying but I also Defragment my hard drive hourly, Run Antivirus scan daily and use CCleaner to fix registry errors. My PC is almost 2 years old. it’s a laptop.
And on the Mine and Dine Episode, sometime when you fling a bird at any material, you hear this echo/studdering effect of the material breaking. I don’t understand.
I just want to make sure i’m not the only one who’s had sound stuttering for the PC version before, that’s why i’m kinda worried.
It’s because of the cave theme. I like how Rovio goes into tiny details like that, to make the perfect game :-D
If you are playing while your drive is defragging, I bet that would do it.
The thing is though, my PC is running at top performance because i use all these tools to help my computer, so why should the game be stuttering at all?
my hard drive’s random read speed is on average 35-37MB/s

Hey help! This is bugging, when i’m going to load this days level, it stucks and shuts the Seasons. :( There is also a bug in th “? mark”, because, i bought mighty eagle and i had it’s indructions in the ? – place, but now when globe birds is there too, i’m not seeing any mighty eagle at all
The Mighty Eagle’s instructions are gone on mine too! As for your first problem, have you tried restarting the device?

As per the crashing, are you connected to a WiFi network?
yes i am, and i have tried restarting it but nothing happend. But when i changed in other connection it worked, maybe it has to be updated in the same… um… how would i explain it… in same wi-fi connection where upload the 1 day. i mean you cant upload it on different placec, or wi-fi connections.

I waited this new season again, but all i have notice that : it takes more time to load game (iphone 4 and iPad (1st gen) yes i have restart my devices (at least its not any windows model what have to restart everytime) and yes i have send several emails to Rovio. Im kind of disappointed because Rovio have been a good to fix bugs soon. But it seems time changes.
Also i have notice that i dont have any achievement in game center, and mooncake festival is finished with 3 star but not get achievement for that, cant play the 3 star level what it should be playable after finished 3 star
there’s still no update for symbian?

Looking through the PC images, when you three star all the levels in Wreck the Halls, you get a candy cane with a golden star hooked on it.
