Our strategy for Danger Zone level 23 is to fire the Ice bird straight ahead into the wire block, detonating the TNT via freezing. Strangely enough, this first shot is very difficult to actually achieve, but it is very valuable. Send the Blue birds under the bottom planet, splitting while still in its gravitational field so that some birds detonate the TNT on the right planet. Fire the Lazer bird along a similar trajectory to pop the last pig. The score in the video below is 116,350.

Totally distracted where to begin. Thanks to @AngryBirdsNest team & @AMslimfordy.
120,120 – 2 birds. Yes, if it weren’t for these posts I’d still be scratching my head…and wasting time!
Well, on this second time around things are looking up, I didn’t get the 1-Birder, but I got a decent 2-Birder, I’ll tell you though, that Ice Bird just kept sliding off the scaffolding without breaking through for the first 20 or so tries, and after that, I found that once he breaks through it’s best to manually detonate him if you also want that pig across from you and the one below with that first shot, I tried for the 1-Birder, but got a good 2-Birder instead.
This one is hard. For the first shot, it takes me 20-30 attempts before I get the desired results, i.e., blowing out the center section of the bridge. Looks simple. Ha-ha. The second shot is harder, much harder. There are two variables that affect the outcome. The first is entry into the lower planet’s gradational field. The second – the one I can’t seem to do consistently, is when to split the blue bird. The bird I need is either doing a face plant into the planet or heading off into the vastness of space.
More than two years later and I could have written your post EXACTLY @ohforfive. I would add that it takes 30 tries to get the ice bird to break through the scaffold and that I can’t fling bird 1 with the same zoom percentage as bird 2. For 1 I need to zoom all the way in and for 2, all the way out. I’m at the point where I’ll try for only a 1-bird improvement – as in the @e-star video and stay zoomed in. If the 1-bird fails I’ll just accept my mediocre score. Good luck, all!
@maiasatara My icebird breaks through in average I would say in one out of three attempts. See picture below for my aiming point. (To me it looks very much the same as in the walkthrough video and also @e-star ‘s video). I’m on android. Could it be a platform difference?
I found second shot more difficult! Still hoping for a lucky one-birder…

Oohhh @Kimmiecv this one is killing me..remind me to come back..lol although my leaderboard will remind me! Gonna just keep on..haven’t even got 3 stars here:(
Hmmmm I don’t remember this one @Kathy, Ha I may have blocked it from memory!! Did e-star leave a video? I swear DZ is living up to its name!! I’m still on 11, haven’t really scored well even with estars video there!! :( These levels are bears! You’ll get it, you always kick piggie butt!! :)
This is a tough level. I’m consistently getting 116-119,000. Got the three stars pretty quick following the video. One thing I do if it helps anyone is to get your first bird taken care of, (even if I miss the first bird, I use the second bird for practice 100’s of times) I finally got the consistentcy I was looking for. Took a lot of practice shots on #2 bird to get the projectory needed. Keep plugging away at it. Time to go back and up the score again.
One additional note for iPhone users or those who have to zoom their screen. It helps me to widen the screen on the first shot.
Score – 134680 with a one bird shot. I figured after a few close ones this was doable. This takes a bit of Luck.
My strategy:
1) Ice bird have to detonate the TNT in the video, without luck based blowing up any other TNT.
2) Send the blue bird above the left upper planet, in grav. field, popping it when it is at 45 degrees in upper left part of said planet. The goal is to have 2 birds to crack some blocks, covering middle pig and last bird to detonate the dynamite. Some debris should break through weakened bricks and kill the middle pig.
3) Send the laser bird just above the grav. field of left upper planet, making it go offscreen. After 1-2 secs, send it to rightmost dynamite. Chain reaction should occur, killing any other pigs.
116k points that way.
The trick to getting that first shot is to aim Icy Birdy right on top of the solid stone block. He won’t break it, and it stops him from falling down to the planetoid surfaces.
I’ve had my best success with the 1st shot by hitting and breaking through the hollow rectangular metal block with the diagonal piece that’s below the solid center block, hitting it on the side closest to the center. Much work still to do to further improve score by another 9K for the Puppy, but my current best score of 132,910 was achieved by getting a 1-birder while pursuing the strategy by @trishohara posted on Apr 28, ’12.
Screenshot of level of destruction for the +132K score, but looking for more ~ so much more:

@uncle-b Thanks! I agree. This shot has two advantages: Done right it goes through and detonates TNT every time, and – more important – it seems to toss those small wood blocks in a way that increases the possibility for a one-birder. At least I finally got it in one this way, although not a great score!
On the downside it seems to me to generally score a little lower than the walkthrough shot as a first shot for a two-bird strat, maybe also as a one-birder.
@gladvold Hi :) you don’t know me .. but i see you use Android platform as do i could you help clarify this shot for me? I’ve lost my danger zone progress and am trying to improve my previous scores. i recrecently updated to 2.1.2 and just want to clarify if this strat still works or I’m wasting my time.
so are you aiming unlike the walkthrough video, instead aiming at the longer rectangle hollow block with the diagnol crossbar Below the center thick cement block? just asking cuz i see your post was only a couple weeks ago? ty for help:)
Hi @kathy! No problem! Sorry to hear you lost your progress. I’m om android 2.1.2 as you, so the shot should work fine.
Yes, I aim at the longer hollow block below the cement block. To the right of that hollow block there is a small square stone block (between two almost horizontal wood beams). I aim so that the aiming dots (or what it is called) hit slightly lower than the middle of the left side of this stone block. Then let ice bird slide in and self activate next to same block. Hope this can be helpful to you.
Awesome @gladvold Thanks for the affirmation Now i can know that it Can be done:) it’ll take some flinging I’m sure but at least now i know it’s possible! and thanks for the precise aiming point as well I’ll keep at it:)
@kathy The one-birder can take some flinging, for sure! You might also want to experiment with manual activation once the bird breaks through, I find it hard to tell what’s best.
Woo hoo @gladvold i did improve ! didn’t take long and ty again for the help.
Thanks @u@uncle-b for the strat ! now with a little practice I’ll try for the 100 club lol. probably not gonna happen.
but anyway i owe you both…pop on into the Bloated Pig forum and drinks on the house;) virtual of course but good company and a great forum to share with other Nesters:)
tell em’ i sent ya;)
@gladvold ty like i said i did improve a bit, but i see it can take a lot of flinging and adjustment. trial and error..patience. . all that we birdie addicts can muster for this one haha..I’ll keep at it until my patience moves me on; )
oopsy my keyboard has a stutter , wish there was an edit button.. see above and ty @uncle-b
Wahooo @gladvold Thank you Thank you! i made the top 100 club:) in short order thanks to your help.
what i did was aim just as you said , but i reduced power just a tad..i kept playing with the timing of activation, but that wood block kept flying out into space. so i backed off power just a tad and it all fell into placem the wood block hit the tnt and so on.. Thanks so much:)
@Kathy ~ I’m always so delighted when a contribution proves to be helpful to others. Congratulation on a nice score for this level and for attaining your goal of the Top 100 club!
All the Best,
Uncle B
Thanks @uncle-b :) i always appreciate your contributions and find your insight to be very
helpful:)
If you aim with the dotted tracer lines exactly on the bottom red gravity line, 9 times out of 10 the TNT will go off. As for aiming those small wood blocks…..that’s another thing. Just a half a freckle lower or higher can work too. I had the most luck letting the ice bird self actuate. I have had quite a few “almost” one birders, but the bottom left pig just won’t die. My 135K score was a two birder. The first shot set off the TNT and got the mushroom and did quite a bit of damage, but not to the right planet at all. The second shot, I aimed right on the very top gravity line, and went over the top planet. I activated just after entering the gravity of the right planet. That is still a good second shot even if you don’t get the mushroom, but scores will be in the 120K to 124K area.
