Rovio has leaked a bit of info on what might be the next Angry Birds Space update. According to a blog post this morning, “Fry Me to the Moon” will be the next planet released for Angry Birds Space! Rovio also provided AngryBirdsNest with a couple exclusive images, which you can see below (the image with “Level 1” in the name and the one of what looks to be a half eaten moon). The level with the Space Needle was leaked last week.
Details are sparse at the moment and the planet’s name is subject to change, but we do know that “Fry Me to the Moon” will be a free planet, not an in-app purchase. That said, we have many questions, and do not know whether they will be addressed in this update or not. But nonetheless some of those questions are:
- Will there be any tweaks to the Space Eagle? Please, no posting your opinions on the Space Eagle here, as there is a dedicated thread in the forum for that.
- What is the significance of the “Moon” image they gave us? We’re told it gives us an idea of the “planet’s theme”, but does it have significance beyond the title? Did the “Fat Pig” get hungry? I guess we will see.
- Will the majority of bugs be fixed in this update?
- When will this update land and on what platforms?

Does Fat pig appear in danger zone?
No, only in Cold Cuts so far.
Maybe the fat pig bit the moon
Or maybe that planet is the Cold Cuts planet and the fat pig got out.
The planet looks similar to the planet at Cold Cuts 2-20. Maybe Fat Pig gets hungry, and HE GET OUT OF THE PLANET AND EAT SOME OF IT? I’m not sure yet. Maybe we got to ask Vesterbacka about this ridiculous episode.
I think it is better to wait and see.
By the way, how long we should wait, Slim? And will the birds be fried in the moon? Or the pigs will fry the eggs in the moon? I can’t wait anymore, I should ask Vesterbacka about this.
so the update wont come before 11th april? is the next planet the forth? do eggsteroids and danger zone count? cause then its the 5th? or both dont count and they need a name for the over next planet?
It’s to name the fourth FREE planet, and as DZ is not free, and eggsteroids are more bonuses than a planet, it will be the fourth. Fry me to the moon will be the third, and there’s no timescale on that, although given the game’s only been out for two weeks, I doubt we’ll see it quite yet, lol! :)
We don’t know the precise date of the udpate.
The numbering goes 1-Pig Bang, 2-Cold Cuts, 3-Fry Me to the Moon, …, D-Danger Zone, E-Eggsteroids.
I know nobody knows the answer but I’m just curious if there is any speculation on if any further levels will be added to Danger Zone or another planet in the Danger Zone series (either included with the original purchase or subsequent purchases) of if it was a one time buy and done?
In Game Center, Danger Zone is labelled “Danger Zone 1”. That’s why I think there will be a second Danger Zone.
There is speculation that more levels will be added.

Maybe the 3rd picture is just what the level planet looks like on the selection screen. It looks pretty cool bu to similar to Cold Cuts.
Personally, I think it should be yellow. And it would play into the “Moon is made of cheese” bit. ^.^

why isn’t frequent crashings for space in bugs? i’ve heard a huge amount of complaints from people in my school, myself, and posts on ABS’s itunes page complaining about this frequent crashing, specified by some (and observed by myself at times) by simply clicking the pause menu. i have also found playing boss 1’s level makes mine crash faster too.
completely irrelevant question, but what is fat pig? i’m assuming its the pig frozen in one of the planets in cold cuts, but is it something anyone ever interacts with?
1) It is indeed a bug, but since it is so well-known, we don’t feel the need to include it. This is likely priority-one for Rovio’s next update.
2) That’s exactly it; he also appears in Cold Cuts 2-20.
I emailed Rovio about them and they told me that it was just my itouch. So I’m not sure I’d they know about it.
If you look at their twitter, they have said they are investigating issues primarily around 4th gen iTouch and 1st gen iPad.
The fat pig might be to the pigs what the STONE AGE men, and the MAMMOTHS are to us.

Yay your right,Rovio has got things moving fast! In the past 2 months there has been Lots of Updates for facebook, CherryBlossom, FujiTV, Updates for Chrome, AB Space, Surf and Turf for the Original Angry Birds, Trophy Room for AB Rio. Not Just Games, but they made new facebook cards, Space Plushes and so Much More!
will the trend continue of all the platforms getting the update simultaneously on the same day or are they reverting back to what they were doing before(ios frist, amazon next, android and then PC)
The idea is tht the update is usually launched on all platforms close to simultaneously, but then approval process can vary.

I think this update will come out next week (Probably Thursday) as most of the resent updates have been released on a Thursday the past few weeks.
