Birdday Party (Birthday Party) level 18-12 is quite difficult. The best strategy is to launch the Orange bird through the vertical wooden block in the top-left structure. As soon as the Orange bird breaks the wooden block, expand the Orange bird to push the structure to the right. With good timing, the right structure will also topple from the debris. In the video, the two bottom pigs are popped, so reaching the top-right pig with the White bird is sufficient. If necessary, use Big Brother to detonate the TNT in the bottom-left. The score in the video below is 107,360.
3-star Minimum Score: Originally, iOS devices required 105,000 points to obtain 3-stars on this level. This discrepancy has since been fixed, and all platforms observe the 96,000-point minimum.

i got 117k,throw orange bird to the wood in front of the first obstacle.it should kill every pig and a pig should roll.wait for the rolling pig to hit the ground and 2 birds remaining for 117k
After about two weeks of trying, I finally got this to work with 110K score.
Which obstacle are you referring to, lower or upper? Tried many different ways on this level, now determined to get the 105…
I think he is referring to the vertical wood block that sits under the top left hallow square stone block.
2 and a half weeks can’t get close to +117k. First 1 bird, 100,220 and just now got to 107,190. gets me to within average but no where near 117k. Moving on to next level.
And then, after a quazillion tries, I finally got the 3 stars, and guess what: no golden egg as a reward!!!
There is no Golden Egg for 3-starring all of Birdday. Just the 1 Golden Egg.

This was a pretty strange level for me. I play on Android, so I needed only 96,000, but for some reason I was struggling for a while to reach even that threshold; I was stuck at 88k or 92k or something. But then I finally got both top structures to fall on the first shot (also hitting the helmeted pig below) and finished off the last pig with the white bird for 107,270. So, purely by accident, I don’t have to feel guilty about getting a “cheap” three stars just from my platform!
I have been playing this level on and off for days and the highest score I’ve gotten is 102890. So frustrating! I even managed to get all the pigs with the first orange bird and still couldn’t get a score over 105000 with 2 birds left! Will have to just keep trying :(
I feel your pain! I have been playing this one for a week. I can not get over 103,780. I even clear everything with the first bird a few times…..still only 2 stars…..ugh! Have you gotten 3 stars yet? If so how?
I got 110,860 but it took me 2 hours. It was worth the time however because I am totally addicted.
I’ve been playing this level for weeks and the highest I’ve been able to get is 101k. I really believe that to get 105k and higher is 100% luck.

OMG! It took me hours, but I actually one-birded this level…the falling debris from the first structure not only took out the second structure, it dislodged enough of the foundation to take out both birds on the bottom. Score: 106500

Only aware of the higher threshold on iOS. Is that the device you are using?
The threshold will be lowered in the next level update.
I’m surprised to see no one has mentioned the lack of paper hat in the Android version, perhaps this has been mentioned elsewhere in the forum though.
Anyway, in the video the leftmost pig is wearing a paper hat, in my Android version it is not. What’s up with that? And does it affect anything?
Wow. I know that the 3-Star value is wrong for iOS users and correct for Android users, maybe this was something that Rovio forgot to put in/take away?
Yes AND no. They have to fix this level up, yes, but then there is other tweaks in the earlier levels they STILL haven’t fixed :)

I’ll start with what I’ve seen. On iPad, 93k is only 2 stars, 98k is 3 stars, and #2 is true.

Not the greatest score, but sent the orange bird between chocolate cake & wood blocks @ bottom. This set off TNT & got pig & cake. White bird into side of left structure – release egg late. This should take out both structures. Clean up with Big Brother if necessary. -> 101620
I complete this level with 3 STARS with only THE ORANGE BIRD! Mi high score is 98740
Can’t believe I could actually narrow the gap between my originally lame score (just 96k) with the iOS scores (105k+).
1st bird (orange): as in video, nothing special. What surprised me is that BOTH pigs at the bottom happened to be taken out.
2nd bird (white): with no pigs left at the bottom, I took an easy straight shot and bombed the right tower.
3rd bird (Big Bro): recalling how much time I had taken just to get the final star, I actually pulled Big Bro as soon as the right tower started to collapse. After the debris settled, the score was around 93k, so I knew I could hit a new high score if I was careful enough. Hit the TNT.
Total score: 99,940. And no, I won’t regret shooting the Big Bro. I’m not aiming for the top score, anyway.
I gave up on the one bird thing anf finally got 118000+ using all three!

That was kind of fun: @rdnzlrips82 had tweeted me a link to a YouTube video, which should have shown me how he got his high score.
While I was waiting that the video loads on the iPad, I once again tried the strategy to hit the left vertical woods with Orange. After three or four tries it suddenly all fell very nicely, killed all pigs and gave me a total result of 117320.

@rdnzlrips82 — My thoughts exactly. So far I’ve only once met the lower 3* min, and that’s >10K lower than my previous high. This is one of, if not the most hated levels in all of AB!

Interesting though — Video shows a slightly different level than I have on iPad — Unlike the video, neither of the pigs in the “Vs” of the floating structures are wearing hats, and there is no cake just to the left of the balloons. Wonder if any of this makes a difference in the scores? I also notice that most of the high-scoring players are using phones.
Of course, I don’t think I’ve managed a 1-birder today. : (

Rovio made a few changes from the original release. I would guess (though I may very well be wrong) that all devices have the same setup now. But,@kathy, you compare the setup now with the setup in either Fuji’s or hathman23’s videos, there are some difference (hats are different, cake is no longer by balloons, etc.).

Lucky first shot into the vertical wood block. Destroyed everything. Immediate activation of Orange Bird seems to be the key.

I have yet to up my scores even 1 point in these sweep ups and I agree it’s just Not happening!! :( not sure what to make of it but Birday has always been the hardest for me and that hasn’t changed!! I’m worried what we are up against in the new update here!! Bad piggies is looking like a cake walk next to these levels!! Skimming through the other posts I don’t see any mention of this effect. I’m on v5.0.0 on an IPad mini. Aim the orange bird at the thick vertical board as in the video but let the bird penetrate as far as possible. Sometimes the bird will go through both the wood and stone verticals landing on the pig. When the bird expands, it will often teleport below the structure. in this case I got lucky. The left structure all fell to the right causing the right structure to fall as well and the bird did lots of damage underneath. 120K this time, but damage varies wildly. I’ve gotten a one bird with as low as 90K.
that’s a new effect, the almost unavoidable teleport below the structure, and it doing a lot of destruction. 136310/1 with it. was playing to get the bird to teleport toward the area/valley below the tnt is in; although i don’t know what causes the bird to be teleported where, i guess that keeping the bird more to the left increases the chance it will be teleported more to the left below, so that is what i was playing for… was up from 113k (from before the effect) to 117k when i got lucky: the ob and tnt destroyed everything in the valley, the boulder of the top-left structure made that structure collapse to the right and the top-right structure was destabilised and collapsed to the left (don’t know how lucky this is; the most damage i had gotten until then was 115k with 3 birds, so less than the 116k with this 1 bird).
Well it is confirmed! While it took me a good LONG while to get this improved score…it is indeed justified to be on the recent list created by @bonneypattycat (thanks again)of “levels easier to obtain higher scores”! Here is my one birdie screenshot…all though it doesn’t really show much except the trajectory already noted by @grrtammy and confirmed by @vuelva:

I have not yet updated for the most recent bug fix for ABO, but I believe I read it doesn’t seem to matter either way? Does anyone have an opinion on this?
I have only tried three of the many, many Birdday Party levels listed in the Forum (along with lots of other ABO Episodes) and so far I was able to improve on all three to the number 5 spot on 2-1, and number 2 spot on levels 2-2 and now number 2 on this one. I should probably add that I really didn’t put much effort into this Episode the first time around and actually never even finished playing all the levels…however, it is clear that OB’s destruction capabilities have definitely improved! I will add that it wasn’t so easy that it only took a few flings…I spent about an hour on this one and OB did not “teleport” on every occasion. I just wanted to note this so that others coming in, don’t get frustrated right away and understand that while it has become definitely easier to obtain higher scores…it may still take some effort…IMO ;-) I am actually glad about that…it does still require a bit of persistence and not just “free give-aways so to speak…at least for me :-))) GL to all and thanks again for your inputs!
Agreed. I sent about 8 hours on and off on this level. It’s really a strange level as it’s really hard to figure where all the extra points come from.?? The strange thing is there is still a lot of debris left.. I’m quitting here after raising my ranking from 245 to 6. It’s time to move on now..

ALTERNATE: Lob first bird to the middle of the structures, inflate when between the rock sticking out from the left. Took me about 15 minutes to do a 1-birder for 107k on my Ipad.
