Dang it – it will NOT work on iOS 14.5
CaptREC@captrecYup, noticed that too. Sad. You know, I would have gladly paid an annual fee of $5 for the enjoyment of continuing to play. Rovio gets money. I get my beloved ABS. Win-win.

Since this issue has arisen, I checked to see if it was still available as a download but couldn’t find any of the original games – AB Original, Seasons, Space, Star Wars I and II, or Rio. I suspect since they’re no longer available, Rovio has stopped support on them.
I’m not an iOS user, but there might be a way to roll back an update on iOS devices. I don’t know how going back to an older version will affect the rest of your apps, so you should contact support before doing so.
Sorry I couldn’t be more help, and believe me I feel your frustration.
Maybe @birdleader knows of a work-around to this problem?

I think there is a way to revert. I think I have a backup that might work. But as mentioned, would that mess up other apps? And, Apple pushes out apps that often have important security updates. I’ve been pretty careful in that regard and want to stay safe. So I guess bottom line is that those games are now dead to me. And it’s particularly sad since I was in the top 100 worldwide in them all. Guess it’s time to move on.

I saw a link to the iTunes store that may help and you can redownload apps. I don’t know if it will help, but there are a few of the original games still available. (It might be a way to make them work in your current v14.5, but will probably wipe out all your current progress) https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211841

Btw, I tested Seasons today on iOS 14.5.1 and it worked fine.CaptREC@captrecThanks @sweetp for the option. I think I would cry if I lost all my progress. Would game center repopulate my scores?
and @bernersenn, I’ve updated to 14.5.1 and sadly still no go for Season, Space, and ABSW1/2

Hopefully that’s what you referred to in your post above.Tiffin@tiffinFollowing an upgrade to IOS 14.6 i found that Seasons, Star Wars I and II, Space and Stella all fail to launch; they give a message saying “The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of IOS”. AB HD and Rio still launch so I’ll keep playing those two until the lights go out…

I have an ipad Air 2 and they have been around for some time now; maybe your friends are using newer devices?</p>
CaptREC@captrecThanks @steph1112. Mine started working again as well, but all my old scores are gone. Just dint have the heart to restart after 1000’s of hours to get my prior scores again. Are your old scores retained?
