@Nacho — Thanks! Your answer and the pics in your album really helped, but I still have a question:
* Is there a master list anywhere of how many challenge races on each track?
Some answers, I think:
1) When someone list a large number, like 819 challenges won, they are counting 3 challenges per challenge round.
2) I finally understood what you were saying about the progress bar and the number of challenge rounds. To open up all challenges and characters on a track you need to win 36 races for Speedway, 54 each for Rocky Road, Air, and Stunt, and 19 for Sub Zero. Your progress on opening all challenges is shown on the bar. The number of challenge rounds is just what it says (Duh!): the number of challenge rounds you have completed at 3 challenges per round. This is not the sum of numbers under each race on the individual track scoreboards; that number is the number of the round you are currently on.

Don’t be confuse with this: sometimes many Drivers. Can’t pass a Challenge because they need ( to get one or two … Missions to pass the challenge… Often they even me ..!!! Wait longer to pass. Because the Mission it’s to hard even Impossible to get it…!!! But we are here to help ourself and Get it.

Hello all of you. I am 435 Ch. Right know I am Driving this Kart Rapid Raider L6 on Air Episode : have a question . Challenge #12 Race …!!! Win with 135 000 ..!!! My max . It’s 129 000 my CC it’s. 692…!!!! Do I have to increase more Aceleration and handling or. Aceleration and Strength . I do not want to make more mistakes . I wii keep driving on First track until being Stuck either on Race ;Time Boom or Splat fruits. I won’t go to track #2 until I get more and more Challenges . My standing on Air right know it’s 77 Ch.

What should I do…!!! Please

@nacho18 — i’d suggest upgrade acceleration then strength then handling (much later)

Max points in Air tracks seem to be a result of the more time you can spend flying, the more points build up .

When on the ground, drift as much as possible to gain points. Dont oversteer too much or it slows you down or you lose control.

I also think you can ‘drift’ while flying. Moving your wings left to right and repeating it quickly keeps the kart on course and points build up. The game rewards drivers to keep the kart moving and not just follow the track.

If you can also work in the start by smashing or damaging your opponents and own kart seems to also generate points. Total thrashing when opponent falls out of kart seems to really help. Game rewards aggressive driving!

Faster you finish. More points too. If you win with average speed you should get 80,000 points. Plus the 12,000 bonus for challenges already conquered so that leaves you trying to get at least 43,000 pts on track. Try my ideas and watch for the value as you get close to finish line.

Always try to drift over the finish line. With success you can get 3 to 5 thousand points.

Finish faster than average you can get maybe 85,000. This requires shortest route to finish and keeping kart steady with no drift or over steer. I bet with boost and target power up you can get 85,000 plus but costs 35 gems.

I find the fastest drivers to use in Air are Hal, Red, King pig, Chuck, Corporal Pig. Key is to figure out when to use your powers. These help a great deal to get max points on track.

I know that challenge just get fully upgraded kart if any, use chuck and buy all the Additional Special Power, 9 gems, and use them in the game.

You will be using it 4 times. Should be able to get 135k.

NOTE: if you buy the special power and do not use it, it will still be there in the next round. So just load them up, just in case you need to use it.

ABGoFast is correct, mate.

My strategy for completing that task/challenge was –

1) Crash into and damage each opponent at least once.
2) Try to complete the track as quickly as possible BUT with maximum air time: each time I flew for any length of time I ensured that I missed the track and fell for as long as possible before re-spawning.
3) Re-gain your lost ground following the re-spawn by using one of the Blues’ boost abilities. (IMHO the best option)
4) Drift as much as possible while driving on solid ground – without losing too much speed!

If you can manage all that, then you can beat the task/challenge score without using any power ups or wasting precious, hard-earned gems!

And some of the other blokes on here have beaten over 800 challenges – my personal heros… Lolz.

Hi: @abgofast; @platium and @angryde . I got it the 135 000 ; I did buying two rounds of PU’s . Was kinda hard . And you know … What I didn’t with Chuck ..!!! It was Matilda on Target Kart and all others 3 PU’s… !!! I have 138k’s to hit : hope they don’t ask me ” Beat your own score “. Very soon.

For know I have 2 karts fully upgraded one partially upgraded ; my “Green Baron” and the new one ” Rapid Raider. Ready for more Racing… This guy it’s going to be upgraded one at the time ” when ” I don’t know . For know I want to do more Challenges on Race …!!! Then to time Boom.

beat 135k is like beating your own score! now i’m stuck with those use 3 power up in a row for all seedway. i refuse to use 4x, just to pass the stage!

Hey peeps, I need some strategic advice from some of the ‘big boys’ on the forum. =)

I’m really struggling on ‘Air’ and have only completed 100 challenges.

Back in the day, I made the newb mistake of rapidly max-upgrading both High Flyer and Tub Thumper, which has left me pretty much unable to drift…

I’ve recently read some old comments concerning the effectiveness of the Hal/hurricane drift-collection strategy but have had little success with it thus far… D’oh!

At the moment, I’m stuck on –

T1 – RC – 18 – Collect 15 coins while drifting.
T1 – TB – 6 – Avoid 7 obstacles while drifting.
T1 – FS – 12 – Splat 10 fruit in a single drift.
T2 – TB – 16 – Avoid 10 obstacles while drifting.
T2 – FS – 12 – Splat 10 fruit in a single drift.
T3 – TB – 8 – Avoid 7 obstacles while drifting.
T3 – FS – 3 – Splat 7 fruit in a single drift.

I’ve been hoarding gems like a maniac… as I’d intended to drop 600 gems on Woodwind L1 in the hope that it – in combination with the high acceleration + low handling strategy – would magically solve all my problems. How naive, yeah!? Lolz.

(FYI I refuse to spend RW$ and am a no IAP or Telepods adherent)

I remember reading that someone else had been in this position and taken this approach… and had been pretty successful. I suppose I am just looking for reassurance from y’all that dropping the big 600 is the way to go… or… whether it would be wiser to invest those gems in power-ups + advancing my progress elsewhere.

I’m especially concerned as there seems little hope for solid advancement in ‘Air’ compared with the other track sets. Many of the ‘big boys’ have hit numbers in the mid-200s on Speedway… while progress on air seems to stall at the 118-120 mark, etc.

Any advice? Cheers fellow obsessives! =)

I’m also stuck at Air Track 1 Race no.12 get the 135k points.
I’m trying to avoid passing it with power ups or too many boosts because usually Rovio immediately follows that task with the awful “beat your own score” task.

Sorry I’m not English, but what do you mean with “re-spawning” and “IMHO option”?

Also everybody can you please explain what is the use of teh “target car” power up?
Why is it the most expensive power-up? Is it so useful?

@alcusto . If you read above : I did pass yesterday on Air ; Race Ch. 12 135 000 . I did it Using Target Kart and Matilda she did it 138 K’s for me …!!! But I did try Using the Kart Target many times at least 8 times it cost about 80 Gems per Round on Apple store that’s an IAP and you can use it; up 5 times; and not inmediatly one at time whenever you want too . But it’s very usefull and faster this Kart it’s small but very Speddy . Very Recomendable . Is up to you!!!! I did use on other Ch. Just to pass ” Beat your own score ” Target Kart and Chuck on driving are very good Match .
So : I hope I give you the answer and the tip to pass this part that you are Stuck.!!!

Thanks @nacho18, but usually in Air track 2 and 3 every time I had beaten the 135k points challenge (in race, time bomb and fruit splat courses) the Rovio people had the nice idea to put immediately after the even worse “beat your own score” challenge.
Did this happen also in track 1?

@alcusto. No until know on track 1 : After I beat Ch. 12. I went up until Ch. 20 and. Not the Ch. Beat your own score doesn’t apear yet. But know on Ch. 20 I am stuck.!!!

Hey buddy! Re-spawning is when you crash catastrophically and are brought back to life, so to speak. Your character and kart will flash/strobe for about 5 seconds following a re-spawn. IMHO is an english language acronym for ‘in my humble opinion.’ Don’t worry about your english bro! I am an Australian native english speaker living in Germany… so I know what it’s like communicating in a second language!

Interesting that it did not happen to @nacho18. It did happen to me.

Air, track 1, race challenge 12 was score 135,000 points. I passed this challenge. Challenge 13 is beat your own score, and I am stuck on that one.

Since Rovio failed to account for the boosts I used, costing me 200 gems (see my other post), I am currently too low on gems to be able to try to beat this challenge.

Hello all of you. Do any buddy pass in Air episode Track1 Ch. 20 this 3 missions

– Completly trash an opponent
– Fly 400m in one jump
– Collect 2 or less coins in a Race

I did tried for a while and it’s really Hard on one jump my max. It’s 380m and my minimum collecting coins are 7. Then to trash an opponent I did tried with Terence many times and ; Nothing. My Kart it’s Rapid Rider with 705cc. Maybe an other kart with more cc. !!!!

If some one remember this Ch. Please Help me thank you.

An other question while I come back to try above Ch. 20 .
I am stuck on Air Track1 Time Boom Ch.10 – Finish with at least 1s remaining
What kart or what PU’s should I use..!!!!
Any tip..!!! Will be highly appreciated . Thank you.

hi @nacho18, not too difficult…USE KING PIG at the first launch try not to use so much strength. so it “touches” the ground. and then it will lift OFF… when it travel a distance about to land… use KING PIG power, you should get your 400m..

I have to report something AMAZING which happened to me yesterday. I was stuck at the “Win with 135000 points” challenge on Air Track 1 Race 12, Time bomb 12 and Fruit Splat 11. I did not want to waste gems on power-ups and I gave up to concentrate on other challenges on tracks 2 and 3. I had passed a challenge on track 2 fruit splat, but suddenly the system advised me that I was not playing with my account but as a guest. I reinserted my credentials, went back to that challenge that I had just passed and realized with anger that it was still there to pass. I therefore retried and passed it, but here comes the magic. I went back to track 1 and …. for some totally unkown reasons I found I was at Ch. 13 in Race, 13 in Time bomb and 12 in Fruit Splat!!!!!!! Oh my, the Rovio Gods had sympathy on me and made me pass automatically all the “Win with 135000 points” challenges?
That was all the more fantastic because, as I was fearing, Race 13, Time bomb 13 and Fruit Splat 12 had all the dreadful “beat your own score” challenge. Thankfully my socre to beat was less than 130k in all three :)))!!!!!!

Hi @nacho18, to completely trash an opponent the easiest way is to jump over its head immediately at the start of the race from the slingshot.
To collect few coins use Matilda’s tubcopter with max handling. I noted it’s the best kart to use for this kind of challenges as well as for those where you have to go close to obstacles.
For the 400m ch. yes @platium is right, the King Pig is the one to use to accomplish this task.
