After the new Chinese NY update the most of our team mates have returned, except we don’t have any info about AngryCat and Maksim (if you find this forum please give us some message). I hope they will return!

unfortunately restoring the multiplayer score is not possible. I’m really sorry but for now, it is probably best to give up expecting those scores to be restored because we have received a pretty clear message from the developers that they currently do not plan on doing anything to restore anybody’s score as they are working on major updates.

@grimmjow I did several times downgrade to 1.8.4 and then upgrade to 1.9.0 and I managed to get back all my golden eggs, but at the cost of losing:
– about 2500 gems
– air kart no. 4 (2500 gems + coins for full upgrade)
– stunt kart no. 3 (1200 gems + coins for full upgrade)
– halloween kart + coins for full upgrade
– christmas kart + coins for full upgrade
After this I made upgrade to latest version and can play without major problems.

Then I wrote to Salla about restored profile and asked for refund lost gems and coins, but she (?) wrote:

I am so sorry to hear that the issues in the game continue! Unfortunately regarding multiplayer, our hands are completely tied at the moment. Some people with issues in multiplayer have been able to get some of their progress back out of luck but for some, issues continue. This is because we haven’t made any changes to the multiplayer in the latest update as we are planning on releasing a bigger update at some point which would tackle many issues. Unfortunately I have to disappoint you in this case and ask you to refrain from playing the multiplayer for now if it starts acting up again as I am afraid that we will be unable to provide any support related to it at this point in time.

regarding your lost progress, restoring your game from a backup at this point might result you into losing your multiplayer progress as you finally managed to get it back. If you are willing to take that risk, I can try restoring your progress but unfortunately there is currently no guarantee that this will work.

Have you done any in-app purchases in the game? Please forward us your purchase receipts. We would be happy to consider a compensation in case you have lost your actual money due to this progress roll-back.

fortunately I never made any in-app purchase. ;) Now I can play multiplayer with all my golden eggs, and all what I need now is refund lost gems and coins (as You can see in my previous reply).

@grimmjow Yes, on iPhone, via iTools. Fortunately I found older versions of all my apps once in the Recycle bin, and since then I keep them.

@grimmjow — hey…long time now see…I didn’t know you were still trying to race! Given all your headaches with this game, figured you were busy conquering all the other Angry Birds games :)

Fortunately for me, the back-up that Salla found restored my account in full. I only lost about 2 months of game play. I didn’t do anything with the game.

My troubles started when I upgraded my device from Samsung 3 to 6 just before Christmas. When I installed the game on new device and logged into Rovio account, I saw everything go to zero. All in front of my eyes! Everything was lost…multiplayer eggs, karts, bird coins, gems, single player progress. I tried restoring off the cloud but that didn’t work. Tt took a number of tries but after an elapsed time of 2 months waiting on Salla and tech support to do something but finally all sync’d up and I’m fully running again.

A few pages back, I explain (with help of @phoenix6) that I downgraded to v1.8.7 (on Android). I have had no issues since then….other than every so often multiplayer isn’t available to play for me…but usually has been good. the newest version doesn’t seem to allow many Android or iphone users play multiplayer. So I hope you can find an older version as @bluebear explained and if you want to join ABGOFORIT team, I’ll watch for you.

I have 3 spots open but the team is public so newbie racers are constantly jumping on the team and I have to give them the boot out the door :)

I have maybe the opportunity to produce a miracle.
Indeed, local save of my IPad (on which I play almost never) still possesses my 10.000 golden eggs.
I was thus a part on the IPad, then I have to launch the game on my IPhone.
The game detects the conflict of save and thus suggests me choosing.

The problem is that, to the left as to the right, he wrote there “Local”. It is certainly a bug because before there was “Local” and ” Cloud “.
Can anybody tell me with certainty that it is the left save and which is the right save ?
If it works, I shall find my 10.000 golden eggs on my 2 devices and on the cloud.

I did it ! I restore my 10.000 GE and my level 25 on license.
I hope my save will be stable next day…

Thank you for the invitation, but I am a perfectionist, not a competitor. 10.000 GE is just a trophy which I wished to get back.

I sent an answer to Rovio on the open ticket at that time, by explaining to them the idea that I found and the solution used. Maybe it will help them to find their own solution.

By hoping to return one day on this forum thanks to an update with new contents and not another nth bug…

I got no local save, so cannot back to original. And local save will cause me to lose the gems accumulated, which I do not want. I cannot even play multi player now, so no point to restore.

So my phone crashed on me last weekend and I had to get a new one. Unfortunately after a week of trying to use my backup to install the Halloween version of the app I haven’t had any luck and am completely at a loss. The good thing is I have all my GEs, coins, gems, etc but like many others I am unable to race team multiplayer in the Chinese New Years version.

In my frustration I did leave the team to check a theory of mine and to do some espionage (old habits die hard I guess). I found something very intriguing, I was able to join a team and race team multiplayer as well as create my own team and race team multiplayer. This leads me to believe my theory is correct in that something is corrupted within our team(s) which is why some players throughout the game are having issues and others aren’t as Sally mentions. I’m thinking with how long our team(s) have been around, how many times people have come and gone from them, and how many other issues people have had with the app throughout that time that something in our team’s old digital profile is not playing well with the new updates affecting our ability to race.

It might be worth someone else repeating what I did and see if they too can race on other teams (I know @rhonda90402) said she could race before joining ours. If confirmed it might make sense to try recreating a new team and having everyone rejoin, although I am a little cautious because I know we’ve had issues in the past trying to perform this mass team migration.

I am willing to try it. Give me a team name and I will try the switch. I hope it works. I was going to leave the team and try that but was afraid I couldn’t get back on. I keep seeing the place where you get cupcakes and messages flash on the abgoforit team when I try and race but I still haven’t raced one game on this team.

I setup ABGOCHAMPS as public team so anyone can and will join … I wanted to setup as a private team but it will only allow me to invite people I’m friends with on facebook. Since that’s only a few of you, I didn’t want to go through that step. It was intriguing option cause I’m tired of all the wannabe champions joining our team but it limits new members that come along (I’m not a facebook user but have an account solely for this game!)

We’ll test the theory that a new team will help cause ABGOFORIT is gone! BTW…by myself, with 206,000 golden eggs, I’m the #11 team in the world!!! Yeah…if I don’t brag for myself who will?

@rhonda90402 that’s strange although ABGOCHAMPS just showed up at the top of the recommended teams for me so I didn’t have to search for it. I know in the past it took a day or so for the team to come up in the search for some people.
