Any advice for dodging fall mortar tower in slo-mo?

Home Forums Angry Birds Transformers Forum Any advice for dodging fall mortar tower in slo-mo?

  • There are times when I think that I’ve successfully dodged them, but I don’t get credit for it.  There are other times when I think I haven’t dodged them, and then I see I got credit for dodging the tower in slo-mo.

What do I need to do to dodge the falling mortar towers?

    Thank you for your help.

You have to dodge them at the last minute possible (but also without getting hit or it won’t count). You’ll know you have done it when the game goes into slow motion and the character you are playing as turns back to see the fallen monolith. That’s the way to know whether you have done it or not.

I always also try to use sheildor and put it on before I approach the falling towers. It allows me to do it without taking the hit if I’m too slow. It takes a little while, but I reckon once you get a hang of it, it comes pretty easy.

It’s easier if you use a fast tf like the planes or bumblebee.

Also, you can skip the level right after dodging a tower. You don’t have to complete the node for it to count. You can load the same node and try again, if you were unsuccessful.

I always find that when you see a tower that is going to fall, clicking your teammate to come in almost always puts the level in slo mo. Click your teammate in and click drive right after and 9 times out of ten you are going to get your slo mo miss, the 1 out of 10 you get hit by the tower lol.

Thank you for some excellent advice!!!  I was wondering if clicking on the teammate to force slo-mo would count.  I never even thought of Shieldor.  It’s good to know that I can stop the node early to see if a dodge counted.  Faster TF is good too.

With regard to the first, sometimes when I click on walk at the last minute, the TF jumps into the falling mortar space rather than walking into it, but the first step is a walk.  I guess I need to go into walk node a split second earlier so he is actually walking into the falling mortar space?  I am going to use Shielder when possible.  Right after I posted, I did manage to dodge, but I don’t know how.  There was too much going on at the time (lava balls & missiles) for me to see exactly what I did.

I did manage to do it during a mission because as usual, I did not get any Cobalt Valley nodes when I had to dodge for a quest.  I really hate the quests that require my depending upon the game to do something.  I’m going to have to go back to always having a Cobalt Valley on hand for quests like this.

You don’t need to be at cobalt valley to dodge a monolith in slow motion. This question was raised in another topic recently. When you are close to the Monolith, and turns into vehicle just when it starts to fall, the game enters in Slow Motion. Note that it only counts if you do not get hit. If you have shieldor active, and get hit, even if you don’t suffer damage, the dodge was unsuccessful.

But my advice is to keep a bot on Cobalt Valley anyway, because there are other quests that depends on it. I have the quest to visit Cobalt Valley once, and guess what? No cobalt Valley until now. I’m lucky that one event node was there, and I could get this quest done.
