Backup glitch Angry Birds 2

I reported this glitch to Rovio support, but like with obvious cheaters they don’t give a damn about it.

So, maybe if more people know about it and even more use it they will do something.

1) To exploit it you have to have a F……k account linked to AB2 game

2) You should see a F…..k icon in bottom left corner – you can’t be logged in.

3) Just stash black pearls for a hat.

4) Buy a hat…. and

5) Immediately after log in to F……k account in the game.

6) Voila – you’ll have a hat and black pearls which normally should be gone.

Good that you let rovio lnkwkthecdetithe of the glitch. Keep letting them know all of the details of any glitches. I suspect there are some they simply cant fix, but hopefully they can at least better look out for those who use them.

Where do you log out (and back in) again? I’m currently locked in, but no idea how I would log back out :)!

Would this trick also maintain your slingshot progression, if you complete a set while logged out of F….k?

And would it work for opening chests, TOF etc? Almost seems to easy / good to be true!

It appears this glitch has been fixed with the latest update.

I lost most of my pearls and gems after updating my two devices.  I updated my phone last and was left with almost  no gems and pearls–the amount that was on my phone.

Rovio has restored most of the gems and pearls and here is their response to my ticket:

“We understand how frustrating it is to lose things from the game. We have now restored your lost pearls and gems, please note this happened because of the new syncing system and it shouldn’t happen again.

As you may know, we have been working hard on handling the cheaters in Angry Birds 2. We’ve received many reports and messages from our players about an exploit that allowed players to cheat with multiple devices.

We also received suggestions from many players asking us to add a way to sync black pearls and gems between different devices.

We heard you and we are taking action! With this new update, you will be able to sync your progress completely with other devices, which means that the number of pearls and gems you have, as well as the hats you own, will always be the same across whichever devices you play the game on.

With this, not only have we blocked a known exploit some players were using to cheat, but we’ve brought you a better experience by making it easy to keep everything you own, no matter how many devices you play on.

This means of course that if you spend some gems or pearls in one of your devices they will get withdrawn from both devices, but the things you purchased or earned will all sync!”

Too bad i didn’t take advantage of this glitch to get all legendary hats. But there is still a glitch i know to get free gems and apparently no one knows yet.

If you know details of a glitch I would suggest letting Rovio know the details so they can patch it :)

Rovio finally fixed it. Two years. Now I wonder if this bird gets banned for trying it.

I bet you did. I know a few that have been around for years from looking through this forum. Wish they would have been on top of it earlier but at least they are acting now. Hope any new bugs don’t take 2 years to get patched.

Of course i won’t tell them this glitch, otherwise i would take years to upgrade my birds in this money grab game. Rovio is not fair to us, i wont be fair to them.

It’s not all about maxing out your birds, just play to have fun, not be number one. I suspect the newest levels are only the way they are because so many people were using exploits to get ahead, and Rovio thought they were playing normally. Thinking oh so many people have hit the top already, we need to up that and make it more challenging so top players don’t get bored. Have fun playing with friends, doing the boss levels, find fun your own way.

I agree with you, mate, but after what they did with the Arena, i’ve lost all the fun in this game. The game is madeup to piss us off. The only way to find fun in this game is with Gems, otherwise you wont be able to win in the Arena, to help your friends in the Clan events, etc, Gems in this game are too expensive and they just serve to retry a match, get free birds and play more in the events. Chests are moneygrab, not worth buying them if you get Gems with your money.

Given the horses have well and truly bolted, I think the best approach for Rovio would be to:

– make “new” rewards, powers, hats etc all based on a completely new currency or mode of achievement – one that they have pre-thought the exploits on!

– accelerate giveaways of BPs and hats in chests so that those who have not cheated for years can catch up more rapidly than is currently the case

I kind of think that’s what they are doing with bootcamp and the 11x hats, can’t cheat on those coins, only the FP to get those coins.

Yeah, you can’t cheat coins, propably, but let’s see how long it takes, until somebody find’s a way.

…but here’s my problem with the new ways to get the hats – viking and nfl hats made the start, the samurai set will continue it. Nice way, but why the hell, did they implement so many new ways to earn pearls? Why the hell did I save up 182.000 black pearls?? (Honestly, I didn’t cheat there, it’s just a matter of playing A LOT!)
They did what we ask for in consequence to the legendary hats: let us earn more pearls. In the next step they invaluated those pearls. I mean, come on!!

But I don’t care anymore, I play the boot camp only, because I’m still in the top 100 and I want to remain there for the last two weeks until the shop opens, but then I’m out. Rovio has pi**ed my off too much.

@ravenstar The same thing happened to me. I have a ticket in to rovio and I’m waiting on a response. The syncing has glitches as well. I was able to play the daily challenge and KPC On one device and several hours later I was able to play it on my other device. Also the gems and black pearls had not updated and were different on both devices.
