Delete profile

How do I delete my profile? I would have thought it would be under “Edit Profile” or “Settings” but I can’t find it there. Please help.

@andyk4483 It’s not possible. You can modify some aspects if you want to.

@jtwade There is enough data associated with the general user that it is not prudent to allow users to delete their own profile. Yes, we have the ability to associate comments to a “blank” user, but there is far more than just comments to worry about. And those things cannot be move or deleted as easily.

If profiles cannot be deleted, then how has my friend “Johnny Shanley” suddenly disappeared? I would also consider leaving the site as it is just too hard to keep up!
