When you encounter it, nothing more you can do immediately other than exit the event, either back to the map or a hard close.

Some people have said that the long term solution is to free up RAM memory on your device.

Well ok then. And when you get to the edge the game freezes.

yes it freezes the game and you have to come out of the node and reboot the game. I had it twice yesterday when running events and so I lost out on them.

I just had this happen to me in the C Minor challenge on the desert node during the helicopter pig challenge. I was using Energon Grimlock (L 13) with Photoblast. Prior to happening, I noticed that the wooden structures that the pigs are on were black and the game stopped registering any progress. I hit the go back to map button and then screen went black. I closed and restarted the game and it is operating fine, but I did lose the one run during the challenge.

FYI on this bug
