How to get the "canon" with questionmark work?

Hi,

I missed the first explanation of the “canon” with questionmark in it (in level 254 for example). It has to surprise you with rockets or bombs, but when/how?

I don’t think there is anyway to activate it. It either gives you something or not. I’m stuck for a week on 254 and the cannons give virtually nothing every time. I even watched a YouTube video of someone completing this horror level and it was clear how they managed it as the cannon spat out power ups every time. I’m starting to find the game more irritating as it’s clear it let’s you win rather than your skill in completing levels picking the right moves. I haven’t even been close with this one and my patience is fast running out and I’ll move on to something else. It’s set up for us players to have to buy coins etc which I won’t
