recently I have noticed players with say a FP of 600 and a 45 star rank achieving scores over 100,000,000 in the MEBC.  Can anybody explain how that is possible?  I have a star rank of 75 and my FP is 538.  I am lucky if I can get a score over 55,000,000.

They are most probably cheating. Report them.

star rank and FP could be ok if this player paid a lot. However, the score of over 100 Millions seems to be impossible.

I agree with yue. That FP and SR say to me that the player spent a lot of RL money to get there. Believe me, I have seen much bigger disparities between FP and SR from legit players.

I know that I have had to grind my way to where I am and only because of the 1,000 coin Samurai hats in the MEBC store do I own multiple hats >+4. I bought my 1st legendary hat, for 25,000 BP’s, just last week. It took me over a year of daily play to get there. I have all hats up thru the +4 ones.

Personally, I have spent way more RL money on this game then I should have. I play the arena a lot and the levels up to 826. I don’t know of any shortcuts. It is either lots of $$$ or a long, long grind. My FP is only 495 (with 3 Samurai hats & 1 legendary hat on) and my SR is 83.

@gary69, over a year?! Does progress slow so much? I realised pretty soon that the progress is faster at the beginning, but I had no idea it’s going to be that much…

After 100 days I have SR 51 and FP 439. One Samurai hat and while I could get second now, I don’t think it’s worth of it if Roman hats are taking over. One 10x hat and all other are just 3x or 4x. I’m at level 216 on the map and rarely playing it anymore…

My progress has been a bit faster, but it does slow down. After almost 14 months of daily play, and no money spent, I have a FP of 563 without a hatchling, star rank 106. I recently bought my seventh wizard hat for 25,000 bp. I got 2 of them from legendary chests, but saved up bp for the rest. I have 5 samurai hats and I expect to get the other 2 after the next 2 bootcamps. I have also had enough additional coins to get 50,000 feathers for Bomb two times now.

@kgeisler, I’ve bought the Gem Letter so far to get a small boost and not to miss completing Daily Quest… which has that nasty P2W lock made with GL. It should be called “Daily Shakeoff” or something similar. Of course, it’s not only dubious function Rovio has included.

I recently checked how many BP I would need to get all remaining hats and it’s insane amount! New players are so much in disadvantage in AB2…

I’m tempted to buy the 50k rainbow feather set to equalize bird levels, but at my level that’s a big pile for one bird. Maybe it’s just better to save coins and wait?

Are you in a good clan? It really helps with saving up bp for legendary hats, along with accumulating feathers and getting to open up a lot more legendary chests. I have also gotten some of the other legendary hats that way. I think I have two mythic hats and three steampunk hats from legendary chests, also one tribal mask. I save up 25,000 bp about every 6 weeks, sometimes 4 or 5 weeks.

As far as coins go, it probably depends on how much it bothers you to have uneven fp. It bugs me considerably. Even with using 1000 coins to get 50,000 feathers, Bomb is behind some of my other birds. Some people prefer to save up coins to get hats sooner, rather than only getting one after each bootcamp.

Even that is because Rovio half-force players into clans by Daily Quest. I don’t need the pressure and drama other people cause by “suggesting” when and how much I should play, how much I should invest or when I should communicate with whatever d*** messenger they want me to install…

Instead of buying hats early on I should have saved BP and wait for hats from chests. I did get Wizard hat for Chuck quite early on, but after that I’ve pretty much missed every good hat from chests by picking a wrong card.

Seems to me you get BPs at much higher rate than me.

Difference of levels are somewhat disturbing, because weakest bird defines spell levels. Having cards of my birds at level 27-30 means my spells are only at 27, so I could use a little boost.

I can wait a bit before making my mind, just to see if next event comes soon and what it is…

I get bp at a much higher rate because my clan completes all events and has won all clan battles for months now, but I understand your point of view. I enjoy contributing to the clan, and a lot of members never join in on any of the clan chats or discussions. Some people, like yourself, prefer not to be obligated to put in points. The tradeoff is probably slower progress with your bp and flockpower.

I know what you mean about the spells. My birds range from 79 to 83, and the 83 (Matilda) is about to go to 84. It’s annoying.

Yeah… the chat thingie is one of those functions I’m not fond of…

I do play daily in several sessions, but currently I’m content to save coins and losing clan battles daily on purpose, except the last day. That way all the fight are free and I can still get Daily Quest requirement completed.

Also, before cashing in feathers/BP from Feats, I wait rewards getting doubled. Just in case, I also delay opening Legendary Chests for Feats for same a chance to get double rewards.

I’m giving rainbow feathers from feeding the hatchling to my weakest bird and it’s less than 500 feathers from leveling up now. I really wish rainbow feathers from ME Shop could be divided between birds! I could get three birds leveled up, one twice if I could divide the 50k feather bunch. That would effectively level up my spells twice, too…

That would be nice. I would have divided my 50,000 between my two lowest birds. Bomb is sort of caught up now, but Terence is over 40,000 feathers behind now. It takes 50,000 to level up each bird after a certain card level.

Whoa… 50k per level?! Is it at last permanent amount or still raised by every level?

At least the tiny amount of feathers we get from feeding the hatchling helps a bit. Specially because it’s rainbow feathers.
