New Event: Shockwave – Shocked

A new event has started! The top prize is Shockwave.

This event uses one TF and an energonicon.

Special feature(s): stone blocks only

The bonus squad is The Cybertronians (38 [bottom 3]), consisting of Trypticon (78), Acid Storm (119), Sunstorm (121) and Shockwave (141).

All these TFs are in the exchange with accessories.

Both Shockwave and Trypticon are poor point-scorers (Trypticon is better of the 2). Shockwave’s only advantage is hitting missiles but missing out on most blocks. Trypticon does more damage but missing out on a lot due to its lame gravitational pull.

But I don’t have Acidstorm or Sun Storm yet. Does anyone think either of those are better than the 2 I do have?

@VoltronPig For this event, I am using Acidstorm, and he is pretty good at getting blocks (Over time his acid clouds destroy blocks.) Sunstorm shoots bullets like Jazz (One of the characters at the beginning of the game). So I think that Acidstorm is better than the other 3 characters.

@voltronpig I mentioned in a previous thread that Trypticon is the best of this squad but Acidstorm is better in certain situations. This event is one of those situations. Trypticon’s main weakness is stone blocks, so in an event of only stone blocks he’s really weak. Whereas Acidstorm is pretty good at taking out stone blocks.

Thanks for the feedback, that’s helpful! I’ll grab Acidstorm from the token exchange once I can afford him (7,100 so far).

This missile event is funky. I’ve been trying Shockwave with Glassor or Trypticon with Electroblast. Seems pretty even performance-wise but I have a higher promotion with Shockwave so I’ve been going with him.

Levelled up Trypticon to L20. Had just enough with tokens from F2P war rewards. As an unrelated bonus, I (finally!) also got Menasor from a free gold crate this morning.

Next time I’ll probably snag Acid Storm.
