New Event – Such Heroic Nonsense!

It’s time for a new event!

This event uses two TFs and no energonicon.

The bonus squad is Officers, consisting of Specialist Ratchet and Captain Starscream.

All these TFs, General Optimus Prime and Lord Megatron are in the exchange with accessories, but only if you bought Prime pass(es).

I always thought that the use of the term “top prize” by R/E was quite debatable, but this time it’s really ridiculous. Normally a prize can be won, but not the “top prize” this time (or I’m missing something).
Oh wait, that explains the title of this event!

@moifirst Yep, the “top prize” is only if you pay up for PrimePass.

The Event name does seem fitting (minus the “Heroic” part)

At least I can take a break this week and enjoy the extended Holiday weekend.

Now that we can get more than one of the single crates, my plan on weeks like this is to play a little and open a few gold crates without shooting for the 10.  Good start to this week.

The legendary accessory is useless for my Ramjet as he already has the cone accessory which increases damage.

I haven’t seen green promoted players all week, that made it a lot more fun to play😎. Seems it makes big difference for a lot of players if they have to spend money. After the jackpot of @grimlockdown I think I better choose for an overpower.

I saw someone’s score jump almost 100,000 points in 3 plays in a round so I stopped worrying about that stuff I have no control over in the ‘events’. A reply doesn’t come from support for a few days & I’m over it by then.

 

You can get 7000 tokens a week, in an event, without getting all hyped up  about it. That’s enough to upgrade some things. In the end, what are you getting when you spend all of your stash, just to move up in the standings? More importantly, it doesn’t make the house/car/food payment so have some fun. It’s one of many ways to forget about the real world for awhile. It’s entertainment & if you wanna spend a few bucks…here…instead of somewhere else, for your entertainment time, go for it. That’s all it is…entertainment.

The ‘budget’ I choose on here (every 3 months) is one Prime Pass & one weekly ‘Gem Pass’ (50 a day for a week)…one caveat though…I play on ‘War Pass’ until I complete it & up to level 60 or farther…’then’, I buy the ‘Prime Pass’. This way, I get to open up everything at once, including the extra levels I played on ‘War Pass’…a small reward for my patience (at less than 4 cents/day).

I thought about opening gold crates but instead opted to upgrade Capt Starscream from Lvl 13 – Lvl 15 using tokens. Opening crates makes me nervous so I don’t think I’m going to do it unless there’s literally nothing else I want to buy in the exchange.

It’s just too much of a gamble :-(

@craftymitts Great point. It’s just a game. Also, it’s on a freemium business model, so although it’s a “free” game, they can simply pull the plug for everyone if there isn’t enough paying customers supporting the game.

I didn’t get to “8500 tokens” in this event. I think i probably only made it to 6000 or 7200 tokens, but played pretty leisurely. I like how the single gold crates can be opened multiple times now. Before, if you couldn’t get to 8500 tokens you basically could spend 1200 on 1 gold crate, then the rest would be for steel crates or just coins which have terrible token-to-reward ratios.
