New Update for ABT on iOS (v1.5.15 Crashing)

I’m one of the people experiencing crashes with the upgrade. Not playing through Game Center or Facebook, just have game loaded on my iPad. Shows 95% loaded and then dies.

I dunno about Facebook, but even if you weren’t playing through Game Center, as long as you had a Game Center ID linked to the game then the automatic cloud saves should have been taking place.

Until today, I’ve never launched ABT through Game Center (I always launched it from the app icon) but because I had it linked to Game Center (every time I started the game I would get the message: “Welcome back, <username>”) it was backing up my progress automatically in the background. I didn’t even know about this feature until @gradientturtle7 mentioned it last night!

I’m sorry but uninstall and reinstall (via Game Center) games: angry birds space free and stars war free (I get “welcome cucoisra”) and I had to start playing again, Game Center not me saved progress has only saved my accomplishments: classifications, scores and rankings, only that

I have used 5 gems and bought an extra spot in middle mission portal. And I don’t have to pay when sending 2 transformers second time. Is this the situation with other two portals, considering previous posts?

In all the 3 Mission Portals if you use the gems to open up a buddy slot it is permanent and you don’t have to use gems again!!

mars805, I did the delete/reinstall via Game Centre, worked fine for me.

Some other things – the level difficulty ratings still don’t make much sense, I completed a Very Hard with standard Optimus, and took almost no damage…yet I can’t beat a Medium with Heatwave, the shotgun pigs make it impossible!!

I’ve up-dated Bumbleebee and Lockdown to level 11, and have unlocked Arcee and am currently updating her to level 4. I’ve got 7.5 million coins so no worries there but collecting the neccesary Silo items is proving to be a long process…

The backups have been automatic since the 1.4.x update released in April. As long as your Game Center ID was linked to the game (if you log into Game Center and see your up-to-date list of Achievements for ABT, then you should be good), it would automatically update.

So for those players who had the buggy install of v1.5.15 that caused the game to keep crashing at 95% on the start screen, Rovio’s solution is:

1. uninstall ABT from your device
2. reinstall it from the Apple App Store
3. go into Game Center and launch ABT from there (there should be an icon in the top right corner that when you press it gives you the choices “Play” or “Share” – click “Play”
4. game launches, but forces you to watch the ABT intro video
5. game will force you to play the tutorial level with Optimus Prime
6. you’ll then be taken to the map screen, where it will show everything back to Rank 1, the entire map will be covered in clouds, and you’ll only have as many pigs and coins as you earned in the tutorial level. Don’t worry! Give it a couple of minutes, and the game will re-sync itself with your stored progress from Game Center prior to the update (coins, pigs, gems, upgrades, and achievements)

I followed this…and it worked. Thank-you @optimuspig and @sumitarora15! Now, I just have to Poke around and figure out how to nominate for one of those badge thingies :)

I only play through Game Center.

The uninstall/reinstall/re-sync worked fine for me.

Excessive playing @mars805! The now fixed wrong node cleared level definitely contributed to my stash, it meant that I quite often played an Ultimate variant three times in a row, leading to some big hauls.

I’ve never played through fb or gamecentre and will therefore not be risking the delete and reinstall option. For those untrusting has anyone received word when this fix is coming from rovio is it a wait and see situation?

After the failure to install the new update 1.5.15. Finally I risked and I deleted the game, after I reinstalled it from the app, and open the game from the Game Center. You start playing from the beginning, level 1, but just beyond this level the game is updated. All advances are recovered.

@zwizdan007 No one has confirmed yet, but I think the same thing happened to @partshade. Maybe go ask him?? Does the middle portal allow for permanent slots instead of continuous paying?
