Problem with achievement

There is one achievement called “have nine transformers on missions at the same time”. How is this possible with only eight slots available?

I know that. In the medium missions, there are two free slots and one gem slot. In the easy missions, there are three free slots. In the hard missions, there is one free slot and one gem slot. That is a total of eight.

The third one shows up when you unlock the second one.

Wait, free slots? On every mission portal, I had only one free slot and rest required gems to be used…

Unless they changed something in one of the recent updates, each Portal has only ever had one free slot to begin with. The other two slots in each Portal always had to be unlocked with gems.

I play on a Kindle Fire 3rd generation. It uses Android OS. In easy missions, I get three free slots. Two on medium, and one on hard. The rest I have to pay gems.

Oops! I apologize. I do remember paying gems for those extra slots when the mission portals first came out. Sorry for the confusion.

Weird. I dunno if this difference is due to version or due to OS.

I unlocked mine on iOS playing ABT v1.5.19, but I’m sure that the 2nd and 3rd slots in each portal required gems to unlock when I did it.
