Good grief, some of you got all the white wool already? I only have two! What’s this Eggman you’re talking about? I’ve defeated the 7 on what I assume is the final sector and am waiting for enough stamina now to enter the dungeon. I’ll probably defeat that using Mighty Eagle’s Favorite Dish if it’s a tough one since I’ll only have that free pig as backup.
My averages on the prizes has been extremely poor but then I’m not using any FE to re-spin the wheel at all so no surprise there!
LeUsername@thisepicplayerLong time players obviously have an insane advantage over players who started.
Green Whacker@dragonofheart73@pam-jonery
The final boss on 7 stamina (the tiny guy in a spaceship) is dr eggmanKillerKea@killerkeaI like many others I had to use 2 birds on the golden clouds level. There was some message or ad that covered up where you would be able to borrow a third bird.
I’d recommend to everyone that you complete the golden clouds as soon as you can so you can do it up to 3 times before the event ends. The Golden Clouds level remains locked for 24 hours after you complete it. If like the last event the Golden Clouds do not change, you will earn 10 LC and a whole bunch of snoutlings each time you successfully complete it. I have no idea what happens when you fail. If anyone knows, please post if you can keep trying or if it locks up for 24 hours.
LeUsername@thisepicplayerGot everything for the event, normally I shouldn’t have to spend anything like before, however due to the limited time I had to do this, I used 44 friendship re-rolls and 3 stamina drinks. The last one took 20 RE-ROLLS! What BS RNG!
Now I am working to get my lost stamina back (256 stamina at max, now its 212).Pam Jonery@pam-jonery@dragonofheart73 Ahh ok, well I beat him pretty easily.
I got into the golden clouds and used Piggy McLure and that was pretty routine too until the last stage and that was routine too as I had a mighty eagle fish to wipe him out lol. So now I just have to gather 21 more ropes and I’m done, yay! I’ll have to go into the golden clouds again tomorrow, if I can afford a mighty eagle, I think I can. It’s very lucrative in there but I should do the math first I guess. I can’t imagine how many resources it’d take to beat him without the mighty eagle fish.
@thisepicplayer I haven’t used any FE because I can barely spare any. Am saving them for if I get to the last few hours and don’t have enough ropes. We still have 65 hours so no need to panic just yet!LeUsername@thisepicplayer@pam-jonery Really? I dunno if I had time to do that, so just in case. Also, I’ll earn them back quite soon the lost friendship and stamina.
GrauGeist@graugeistLike most of you, yeah, I ground my way through the Golden Clouds with 2 Birds – oops! I ended using a potion and a cake, but it was still pretty slow going. Next time, I’ll be sure to borrow Piggie. The anti-Rage thing is really annoying.
To get the hat, I will need 18 wool, which should be 48 spins (3 stars), burning 144 stamina; in theory, I can get that in 36-40 hours. I have 67 hours to go, so I should have plenty of time. We’ll see…
Jim151@jim151I have no idea what happens when you fail. If anyone knows, please post if you can keep trying or if it locks up for 24 hours.
I got a free revive, and then I won. Only 2 stars though. I had just the 2 birds because of the glitch.
KillerKea@killerkeaI prefer killing Dr Eggman over the 3 stamina battles. There is enough time left to get the remaining pieces using this slightly slower method, but you get 130 vs 6 snoutlings per battle this way. Unless you already have a few hundred thousand snoutlings you will need them for the dojo.
GrauGeist@graugeistIf I’m just grinding Snouts, I’ve done enough SRC to auto-pilot my way through.
Maybe when I’m <10 to go with LOTS of spare time, but right now, I need to bank against a bad run of spins.
____Now need 14 wool, which should be 37 spins from 112 stamina; in theory, I can get that in 28-35 hours with 60 hours left.
KillerKea@killerkeaThe 3 stamina method is safer if you don’t have essence or stamina to spare. I’ve lost 100+ stamina due to the game frequently crashing. For me it can crash during any wave. It frequently crashes after videos or on wheel spins. It crashes even when the game is idle! I’m using an iPhone 6+ so my hardware is not the problem.
planetbear@oobear@pam-jonery Thanks for reply. I already follow this instruction strictly, never experience the freeze since then.
Tman@tmanThe final Golden Pig was tough. I used Paladin, Wizard and borrowed Bard. Bard had nightmare, so you got a little extra when the Golden Pig was stunned. Didn’t have to use any consumables.
Vogel Birdson@steveyThis has been a frustrating game for me. I currently have zero lucky Coins and 3 Friendship Essence left owing to having purchased more with the LC in order to respin the wheel constantly in order to try and get the required items. It doesn’t seem very balanced to me, or I’m just unlucky that it takes a lot of time and Stamina Drinks to land on required items.
I’ve never had more than maybe 20 FE and 100 LC on my account. I’m not a big spender or spend a lot of time on it but seems you are pushed to put more money in the game to keep up with the pace.
Currently I have 47/55 Stars so can’t get through the Gate to the Golden Cloud Castle. I have 5/5 Blue Silk Cloth, 10/10 Prickles, 20/20 Gold Rings, 10/20 Red Rope and 1/25 White Wool. I don’t expect I’ll be able to complete this in time and I’ve wasted a whole lot of Lucky Coins, Stamina Drinks and Friendship Essence so far.
Think I should just give up – I’ve learn my lesson and will approach future games like these with caution :-(
Still love the rest of the game though. I’ll stick with the Arena Battles, Daily Dungeons and trying to complete the newest Chronicle Caves which appear more achievable.
EDIT: forgot to mention the fact that on several occasions I’ve encountered the bug where you complete a wave and can’t proceed, because the game hangs and you can’t progress further. So, I might spend 7 Stamina Drinks for nothing. *sigh*
Pam Jonery@pam-jonery@stevey How long have you been playing? It’s much easier to do this event for those of us who have the max rank (currently 50) and well developed birds. I personally have never spent any cash on the game and won’t do it because of the nauseous advertising. If I could pay for the game and get no ads, I’d do it in a heartbeat.
It seems to me that some versions of the game are more bug-ridden than others. The only bug I’ve encountered is the one where the game will stop doing anything at the end of a battle wave if I have unused birds so I solved that by making sure I’d used all the other birds before striking the final blow. EVERY time I accidentally knock the enemies out without using them all, the game locks and those stamina drinks are lost. But in two days that’s only happened twice so I’ve fortunately lost very few since I figured it out, probably about 30 total since the event began. I currently have 11/25 of the final items so I should get those no problem without using any FE.
@oobear glad to hear you’re not having the lock ups now!Daniel Normington@daniel-normington-12Seems to have gone well for me up to now.
I’ve had crashes, but I’ve since tried to work around that by regularly stopping and restarting the game to make sure the CPU doesn’t get too overfilled with rubbish. (So hopefully it doesn’t crash)
Up to this point, I’ve defeated Eggman with relative ease, and won the Golden Clouds battle once using a strong borrowed Wizard. (My birds are mainly Class 7 by now, with the best weapons/offhands I could get up to now from free GPM spins… so they’re pretty strong)I have all the materials, except for White Wool, currently at 18/25… so I’m pretty confident I should complete it soon.
It’s cost me a lot of FE though, just to get the wheel to stop at a sensible place. I seem to have had a LOT of spins with the wheel stopping sideways, trying to fob me off with the piss-poor low-scoring prizes, which I refuse to ever accept (and often get VERY angry with the game for insultingly repeating the result on a re-spin).
I’ll even settle for the high-scoring slot, even if I don’t always win a material – just so long as in one series of using up my store stamina, I at least get SOME material… but never the sideways spins!GrauGeist@graugeistYou guys that are burning lots of FE, etc., are you not able to 3-star the 3-stam fights? Are you not fighting through the day?
We have over 48 hours left in the event, so that means you should be able to get around 20 items assuming fair spins (75 stam per day = 25 spins = 75 spots = 9+ items). If you have more than 20 items to go, I’d be worried and start burning stamina drinks for more fights; if you have less than 15 items to go, it should be smooth sailing if you can keep playing.
Also, considering that the hat is likely to cost 275 LCs if you don’t get it, it definitely makes sense to spend LC to buy FE for the re-spins if you’re running behind and need to catch up. If you need to spend 50-100 LCs now instead of 275 LCs later, that’s a good choice because you should get the bonus mastery when the event closes.
MVNLA2@mvnla2I have all the objects and Illusionist class. I still spend some FE because I have a lot, and I want to come in first for the extra snoutlings, which have become quite dear for ranking everyone up to 12.
Sutekh137@sutekh137Are you really in danger of not being in the top three for a three-star final spin? I have like twice as many points as my nearest competitor with 50,000 medals (and fourth place is still a dummy player with something like 5200 medals).
And I hope you saved FE for the final mastery roll, as those re-rolls cost 10 FE a pop if you want to be sure to get the 6000 for all birds slot…
Thanks,
sutekh137MVNLA2@mvnla2@sutekh137 — I’m probably not in danger of falling out of the top 3, but #2 is close on my heels. I do spend a lot of time sleeping compared to you. Very impressed with your 50000 medals. I’m currently at 45000. I’m well aware of the cost of the final spin, so will have to start keeping an eye on my FE before too long.
MVNLA2@mvnla2@all — DO NOT spend LC on mastery in Dojo in the hope of increasing mastery for Illusionist. He doesn’t get any. Reported to Rovio.
seggy@seggyIs there a method to who Golden Pig attacks? Played the cloud levels yesterday with just Paladin and Wizard (didn’t know I could take a 3rd bird) and it wasn’t too hard. I probably used 1 Rage Chili and a potion, the healing from Paladin was usually enough to keep me going.
I was just wondering because it seemed like my Paladin was the only one ever attacked, at least by the final boss in the cloud, and thinking about the old daily Golden Pig fights, it seems like he always attacked Red in those levels, too.
Looking forward to using 3 birds next time I play, but if I know he’s only going to attack Paladin, I won’t really need to worry about how weak my other birds are defensively.
Sutekh137@sutekh137I do think a few thousand of my score was due to using FE initially to get a good start out of the gate. I didn’t know at first how critical the items would be to get, so was probably spinning for medals like an idiot. I sleep at least 7-8 hours a night. *smile* So, 45,000 is very respectable. Don’t worry about being second — a few extra snoutlings for first place can be had by farming SRC for half an hour…
And what if a snoutling based buy for the Illusionist comes up in the Dojo? Surely that works, right? You are talking about the LC-based buys for Chuck (or all birds) not working, correct? Someone mentioned seeing the Illusionist as a choice for a snoutling-based buy, so I assume that works since it is single-class specific. Still, that’s a nasty bug — very frustrating.
Thanks,
sutekh137Sutekh137@sutekh137Interesting. When I went in with Bomb, Chuck, and McCool yesterday he attacked Bomb.
Today he attacked Matilda when I had Matilda, Red, and McCool in play.
So, it’s not that he is attaching the highest-HP bird, nor is he guaranteed to target Red, apparently…
I imagine he got in, what, 3 or 4 attacks though if you only had two birds fighting. And he only ever targeted Red? That is weird. Maybe they are being nice and he doesn’t attack a bird that will die with the one blow. Anyone lose a fully-healed bird to the last Golden Pig’s attack?
Thanks,
