two crashes this morning in the 5 stamina ring battles … well afther the NINE hour wait for my stamina definitely worth it :-(

I complained to rovio and asked for reimbursement for both the headgear and the fact that I lost my changes at 6k exp for all

i wonder if they test this stuff before releasing …

@kerravon I finally cracked… and now play the game through Bluestacks on my iMac. God it’s nice to be SUDDENLY free of all the frustrations.

Well I don’t have any trouble 3 staring every battle. I use paladin with dragon breath, wizard with twin lightening unless one or other is banned then I substitute spies with beep. I use sonic to buff each bird alternately. Easy to win not so easy to ensure no freeze. I have experienced 5 freezes so far. Different battles so no consistency.

As @kerravon mentioned I play on a brand new iPad Air 2 with 64GB Ram.

I don’t believe Rovio test anything. Every update is unplayable without crashes and freezes.

Well I’m fed up. I certainly will not be playing the Arena after tomorrow. I have asked Rovio to refund my stamina but unfortunately they can’t refund the lost hours.

Seems emigration to Aus is the only solution!

OK guys, i think I’ve discovered how to NOT have the game freeze on you at the end of a battle. It may be coincidence but when following my rules, I haven’t had any freezes.

Make sure that when you’re getting towards the end of a battle (even if it’s the halfway stage of a 2-waver) that you’ve used all your birds BEFORE striking the final blow. When I do that, it always completes.

So let’s say you have one enemy left and could easily wipe it out with just one of your birds. Don’t do that. First, use up the unneeded birds say by healing everyone with Matilda, give power up using Sonic and THEN using whichever your last bird is (I use Chuck), strike the remaining enemy. Your results may vary but so far I have not had a freeze by using that method.

The freezing is terrible! I’m not wasting any of my stamina drinks on these battles. I believe half of my battles freeze, often at the very end. So frustrating! Makes me not want to take part in the event.

Game freezes every time I finish off the first wave, from the note below, I can assume that is why! Question then becomes why the heck do you create the ability that causes the game to freeze or give an ability that you cannot use in gameplay?

Game Freeze: The only time I’ve had a freeze was when I used Sonic’s “passive” ability (Mirror Image) and its use resulted in knocking out all opponents.

@paarngfig08 quite correct it happens when he is used to buff other birds however it also happens when he is not used for that purpose.

This is just what has come to be the Rovio rush job. Untested and sadly all we can now expect.

@bubbley It’s been so interesting to observe the enormous difference – performance wise – between playing ABE on a desktop as against a mobile device… with over 2.5 gigs of free Ram while the game is running (iMac) as opposed to 200 megs (iPad 2). Since I’ve been playing via Blustacks… not a single crash, bug or issue… just smooth, smooth, smooth. It really does speak to just how much of a resource hog this game is… damn!

RovioHuzz here. I fully understand your frustrations with Epic – there are consistently issues with the game for some players, and some of those problems are taking a VERY long time to correct.

While this won’t sound like an acceptable answer given the bug-laden history of this title, be assured that we are trying our best to correct the issues plaguing the game. We have to prioritise these issues of course, all while continuing to keep things like the events rolling on.

Please keep the feedback coming, keep bugging us, keep pointing out the latest glitches, cheaters or whatever it is. Tag @roviobeni or myself when posting, give us a poke from time to time.

Even though Epic is being far from epic right now, I hope you all have epic weekends anyway.

@angryde I have taken a deep breath – what is Bluestacks? What sort of Mac is necessary? My mac does not have a touch screen, do any? I am not at home at the moment so can’t tell you what my Mac is. However it’s a couple of years old but powerful. It also has an A3 screen so may be too big?

I have decided not to start the next Arena season because it’s so frustrating. I cannot explode any bomb. Rain bird attacks cause freezes not every time but enough to be an issue. Yes Rovio do compensate me if I can’t finish my objectives without renewing banners but it’s the lost time that’s a problem.

My iPad has 64GB Ram, I looked at the box, the only apps on it are Epic, Facebook and Messenger. I have reinstalled a dozen times. I don’t understand why I have these issues.

I can’t help you with your issues, but, without wanting to get too technical, your iPad has 64GB hard disk storage not 64GB RAM. The amount of RAM differs from iPad to iPad depending on year of manufacture/model type etc., but you won’t find one with more than 2GB RAM. That’s not really a discussion for here, but I just thought I’d flag it. (I’m having troubles too, maybe not quite as bad as you, and I have an iPad Mini 2 running the very latest version of the iOS.)

Bluestacks uses about 352 MB of RAM on PC when on Epic, which still leaves 4.9 GB of other RAM for my other applications. When not using Epic it uses about 85 RAM.

I have dummy players pretty much everywhere, but they have like 1000-2000 points. I’m first with 10,000 points.

I am not so sure that what we see is ALL dummy players. I have a few in my event board that I know played in the event the first days, however for the last maybe 3 days none of them have changed their points which makes me think of 3 possible reasons why:

1) they just gave up in the event
2) they just plays until they have enough material and do not care about points
OR the most likely reason since so many have reported non-moving players:
3) the event boards have just stopped synching points.

Only one player on my board has an original picture. It’s not unusual to not have one. I don’t. That player has 75 points. the rest either don’t have pictures, or generic bird pictures, a lot of which are duplicates. 2 players on my board have unknown ranks. Their rank star is blank. 3 are unnamed. Most of the rest have simple names like Tom or Buddy. Only one score has changed since the start, and then only once. I have a hard time believing any of these players are real.

Thanks for the reply but what would really help is speeding up response time from support. 4 or more days for a response is not good espicially on an event week end. I could really use some gold to buy all the stamina back i lost during game freezes on this event. Also one suggestion start events on Monday instead of the weekend or add support for the weekend when you have events.

@all — Well, I for one wouldn’t mind having a few fake players. My board has 14 players with scores. There are only 2 unnamed players, and while the lowest few may not be moving, the top 6 certainly are playing. I am currently #2, and #3 has been first some of the time.

I don’t mind competition. It seems like I’m just going through the motions. I can’t wait to get my last 3 rings so I can quit until the next door opens. Should have happened already, but I’m getting terrible spins. Like 2 for the last 15.
