Strategy for opening up rewards characters

I was wondering if someone had a strat for opening up all the rewards level characters in ABSW II. I’ve 3 starred everything (with a lot of help from this page) and now I’m working on the Rewards level.
I’ve been using the credits I’ve won to buy characters (the one’s that weren’t open from 3 starring everything) and using them on easy worlds I can wipe out with ease. This strat has worked OK but it seems a little tedious. I have a feeling I’m going to run into trouble somewhere down the road and only have a few credits left. (+-1500) Do I need to win and clear the level to be awarded points toward that character??? Are some levels better than others i.e. more points for destruction. Am I on the right track…?

Thanks for the link, it answered some of my questions…but not all. Without using your credits to buy some characters you would never be able to open some of the levels. (Like Stormtrooper, General Grevious, etc.) I’ll continue down the path I’m on and re-post when I’ve opened and 3 starred all levels. (have about 5 more to go on each side)
