Just jumping in to say thank you to everyone who’s posted in here. The Arena has been pissing me off, and I’ve started refusing to play spells – partly out of a “integrity of the game” feeling (I shouldn’t have to pay to win), and also – let’s be real – just being cheap. So – like many of you – I’m just going to stop playing entirely (bye bye Emerald League). My sanity is more valuable.

I’ve read most of it, and – yes – I realize that I can catch up, but if I’m thinking “do I have enough birds for half a million points in the next two rooms?” and I don’t, I’ll bail out. That’s not fun, it’s stupid.

So – having read other responses – here’s my perspective.

When I throw one bird, and my opponent is already a million points ahead of me after one room, it’s not more “exciting,” and I’m not looking forward to the end. All I’m thinking is “F*** THIS SHI*.” I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten to the second screen after clearing the board with a single bird and already been a million+ points behind. This doesn’t enhance gameplay, it’s infuriating. Several times I’ve just bailed on the competition because it’s so heavily rigged toward the opponent.
