@rawdatasystems – yup, yet there are those posters that will defend Rovio to the end. It can be an interesting game playing the levels and figuring out things but the changing physics takes the fun out of it. The TOF, Arena, and clan battles are just straight rip offs.
AngrySmurf@angrysmurf@yue – my comment is 100% correct and I suspect you are a Rovio shill posting disinformation. YOU are the poster I’m referring to and you walked right into it. I hope they are paying you enough. You are working too hard defending a game.
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfRovio won’t change. Just explore some of the comments in this forum – folks paying out cash to Rovio left and right. Why change?
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfRovio is obviously rewarding those who spend money – even if the money is stolen or they are cheating. The reward is allowing clans to decrease their flock power before the clan assignments and then matching them up with obviously much lower FP guaranteeing victory. Doubt me? check out the FP of those that you are suspicious of and then check out the individual FPs in your clan – see the big difference? I do all the time. Waiting for the Rovio apologists to chime in……
AngrySmurf@angrysmurf@rawdatasystem – yes, it sometimes disappears at the higher gem levels. about 90% of the time, it is available to the 400 gem payment to continue level, so that’s usually when I use it. and, yes, it pisses me off.
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfmy video option stays up to the 400 gem level
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfI play on android and use google play to login. Anyone know if that will backup my game progress or must I trust FB?
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfMan, I missed the one for Red a earlier. Wish I’d seen that bug, I would have snagged it, instead, was offered Matilda off the bat.
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfMust have scored more points than you (cheating or legit) OR, if you are talking about a regular event (can be 1d or more event), as oppposed to a clan vs. clan event, they can play multiple times (pay in gems) and add to their point total.
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfDespite some complaining, I do like the game and the extras. I’ve been playing for about 9 months, I’ve gotten 3 stars on every level and I’m up to around 550, I used spells minimally. My birds are leveled up to over sixty with various hats completing all +3 hat sets. My slingshot is +25. I have over 90 arena tiks, +300 on spells for each, +1700 gems, +4000 pearls. and I’ve spent not one penny on this game nor will I. I guess I’m not the gamer rovio wants – I can see why they keep making my levels harder trying to get me to spend actual money.
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfthe OP (@krena) also posted the thread “Interesting post about AB2 theiry” a little bit ago which gives you insight into Rovio and other game programmers about gamer psych and how to take advantage of it.
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfyeah, until the moment the clock runs out, you have whatever hatchling bonus is at that level. I didn’t feed my lil rovio until 35 mins left on the clock this morning, it was fun watching him whimper.
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfYeah, there are days when rovio goes into dick mode and cranks the algorithm odds against the user – I can usually tell when this happens and just quit (force close) the game without finishing it – no video payoff for rovio, no gems bought. start the game back up and try again – continue cycle until rovio plays fair or I use up my lives. go and play my other games. patience is the key, don’t pay for gems, don’t pay for pearls, don’t even waste spells
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfapparently 50 per feeding according to the other thread on hatchlings…
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfNo, you have to continue to feed the hatchling once every 48 hrs with the # apples corresponding to the current level. After 5 meals, you can level up for free but the # apples needed to stay at the level increases.
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfBased on other users comments, if you let him die, he’ll come back as an egg and re-hatch. Then you can start back at a lower level where you don’t have to feed him as much. I’m sticking at level 2 as 10 apples per feeding seems doable.
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfCalled mine lil rovio. I love watching him starve, begging me for more food as I wait until the very last moment to toss him a bone (apples).
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfThought I update – I had a nice run in the TOF today. Got to the “apparent” top level, like 63 or something, it just suddenly ended. I spent 20, 50, 100, 200 gems then used the video (don’t know why some of you are getting the video option). I scored over 700 gems, 500 pearls, 3000 feathers, 30+ spells (varied). Probably got 3 x3 hats that I already had. Did NOT get the prize egg, selected the wrong card. Strategy – Rovio has been crapping on me lately, so I quit if I get more than one piggie before level 10, two piggies before level 20, etc. This time didn’t see my first piggie until 28 or so, then hit it twice in a row. Kept going and got to 55 before seeing the fourth piggie. That took me over the top. The bigger rewards above 40 really kept me going and I had saved up gems to pay for it. As far as card choice, I play that the piggie will stay on one side for a 3 count, and will not stay in the same card for 3 selections. Doing this, I bounce from one side to the other. Doesn’t work all the time, but it did this time. Only happens like every 3-4 months. Be patient, save your gems and wait for the big run. Good luck!
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfit’s like the others say – main screen, your level your gems your pearls on the left; regular play, daily challenge, arena, and clan icons on the right; daily quests, treasures, TOF, MEB icons on the bottom; your birds and slingshot in the middle – selecting any of the birds shows you different hats, select a hat you don’t have for upgrading. It’s possible that you are not far enough into the game to purchase upgrades at this time, you’ll have to play more and progress. If not, then your game is screwed up and you may need to reinstall. Save to facebook or google play to backup beforehand. Good luck
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfAgree with the above – rovio will try to convince you otherwise.
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfI get to 20th floor maybe once per week. I’ve gotten 50+ maybe once every 3-4 months on pure luck. My strategy is to quit if I get more than 2 pigs before 10th floor, watch the vids and take my meager winnings. If I don’t get to the 20th level before the 200 gem payoff, I quit. 30th level 400 gems. If I get two pigs immediately – quit, by that I mean don’t even take the meager offerings – why? cause eff you rovio, that’s why. Be patient, rovio WANTS you to use up gems, buy more. Don’t do it. Like the others say, one day you’ll get a lucky streak and you want to make sure you have gems to pay for it. By the way, when you get up to level 40+, the gems and feathers rewards are MUCH greater. Good luck!
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfI’ve found that on very long throws, the birds end up a bit short. I’ve adjusted my aim knowing that.
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfLooks like the MEB is made for the high rollers. I’m only getting enough per season to get 1000 coins which I use to either buy the samuri hat or this last time 50K feathers for one of my birds. Nice bonus for a few mins time per day. I don’t get too wrapped up in it, as you noticed, you’re gonna have to really ramp up to score significantly.
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfI find that odd since a lot of my postings to the chat get deleted for language although I never use swear words nor harsh language. It’s like being in church.
AngrySmurf@angrysmurfIt seems you have about 48 hrs to feed it – 24 hrs to the next feeding time, then another 24 hrs to actually feed it. Warms my heart watching lil Rovio starve and give me the puppy dog eyes.
