Thanks for sharing that info Saphira. I’ve been playing for a couple of years and only made it past floor 25 once I think and that cost me over 800 gems. I can’t afford to lose gems like that. So now I stop when I get 2 pigs (again, usually by floor 6) as paying back Rovio any more gems than absolutely necessary is no longer an option. I buy the daily letter for 70 gems a day but that is wasted immediately in the TOF by floor 10 and then no loot to show for it. I also have not seen the video option yet in my TOF.

I made that same decision a while back. I play the arena when my daily quest needs 25 stars (and I have since found away around that) and then just for fun with no spells. Like you, no biggy if I lose or drop in league. I always will play to try and get apples on second level but other than that, I avoid the Arena. I am also pretty much stay away from the Tower of Misfortune as I can’t get past floor 10 without getting 2 pigs and will NOT chance getting the 100 gem pig. Last 3 days have lost 70 gems by floor 6. F’ing money grabbing Rovio. I can’t see how people make it to floor 20 let alone floor 60 unless you have cheated and have 100,000 gems.

My sanity is slowly returning as well.

Here is what I received from Rovio when I complained about the uneven matches in the Arena.Their answer:

 

“The matchmaking formula in the Arena has been recently tweaked. Especially players with really high win ratios might be matched against the players with higher Flock Power to provide the challenging experience. Please note that a small Flock Power difference (around 10% or smaller) is not that relevant and to make the game a little bit more challenging the Flock Power difference has to exceed this threshold. We have received some complaints regarding this change already and we always pass players’ concerns to the developers. While we cannot promise the change will be reversed, we want to assure you that we hear your feedback.

Remember the variety of needs for individual players. New players appreciate feathers and pearls much more than the veteran player who already has a strong team with high multiplier equipment. We try to balance some of the rewards from the challenges, but there is always a chance we won’t be able to satisfy everyone.”

Flock McFlyer Here, I had mentioned in a Clan chat that I have been tracking the items received from the FREE Common chest and a few here have expressed interest in seeing the chart so I’m posting it below.  NOTE: I try to get as many per day as I can but it is hard during the working hours. What I see is I believe these picks are also pre-determined as they are very very close to being evenly handed out across the board.

I have been hit with the dreaded  “Oh No! What Happened” Internet connection message twice now. The first was after a win, got the window that said you got 1 point, and then the error. I quickly switched out of AB2 and tried the internet and no problem. When I returned to AB2 – I was NOT credited with the 1 point. The second time it happened, i just got my second win and 2 points but it went a little farther before giving me the error and my 2 points were indeed credited to me. Rovio needs to address this bug pronto! That’s twice in about 10 game plays.

Well thanks for that info. I’ve been in 3 clans so far. One had a total of 6 people with points that totaled 15 pts at the end and another that had 6 pts total after 2 days. Sure didn’t seem worth it as I love to play but am not going to pay 100 gems to try and better my pts for that kind of return. I guess I’ll try one more time but how can you tell if you’re getting into a clan that has people that actually play?

Don’t bother joining this BULLSHIT, Pay-to-play, money grabbing farce. You join a clan of 50 others and only 5 or six people out of the 50 will play. plus, if you want to play a second round, it will cost you 100 gems and only get you 5 to 10 pearls in the end – SOOOOOOOOO NOT WORTH IT

That’s it… I’m Done with Angry Birds 2. Although I like the latest update and the FEATS feature, The Arena is skewed for nothing else but to make money. I have spent my share of $$$ to get gems but no more. I have a power level of 247 and have completed all the leagues so I am no beginner. Since the last update, I tested the fairness of the challenges and have found it is near impossible to win a challenge without using a spell or spending gems (at the end to get an extra bird.  I’ve played close to 15 challenges (never using a spell or spending 60 gems) and cannot get past level 2 (I used to get a full streaks with no problem). And the amount of single pigs left in a room is STAGGERING. I bet I had 18 single stranded pigs out of all 15 challenges. And, in roughly 9 of the 15 games, by the end, I was 100 to 400 thousand short of winning, watched the video only to get the blues bird to go against a standing block tower of stone OR i’d have to watch a video to get a bird to get that last single stranded pig, get within 10,000 points of winning  and asked to spend 60 gems. it used to be fun. not anymore. I repeat, I’M DONE!!!!
