I hear it is a bug with the game. Rovio is going to get it fixed because if we don’t spend gems and watch the ads, Rovio is losing money. Bleeding money. Frustrating for now, probably even more frustrating for Rovio.

What is the point of AB2? Sure, I played the original games, AB, Space, Star Wars 1 and 2, etc.. I played AB2 since the beginning and found the arena by accident. Now we have clans and clan battles. This is where the fun is. Trail is irrelevant. We play with our friends as a team.

So being banned is not cool. Especially when honest players are banned and kicked from the clan. I would say that now the report button is the newest and worst exploit. And it is promoted by Rovio. Once again, Rovio is the biggest hack and cheater, fraud and theft. I am still playing, but it is what it is.

Scott, when a company or business accepts payment for goods and services, then refuses to deliver and honor that contract, that is cheating. Not only cheating, but theft and fraud. That is Rovio.

It is what it is, Juan. But there is still a way to use the backup and restore that Rovio hasn’t yet figured out. I probably would have shared it with them to get it fixed if they hadn’t done the ban thing. Now it is a free for all as far as I am concerned. I have nothing left to lose.

Yes, Yue. What I am seeing is that as of now if a person is banned Rovio kicks them from the clan. This is what started a month ago.

Will do, Dave. I am still around. I don’t get into all the clan talk here, don’t ever want the name of my clan mentioned at this place. But I still play and have some great friends in the game. Got to remember that it is just a game, but on the other hand there is money involved and Rovio is a thief. On that I will stay vigilant.

It is what it is, Yue. As I said, still have the clan and the clan is the only reason I play now. Rovio killed two of my birds, I killed the third. Starting over. If it were not for the clan I would be done.

But I did report Rovio for taking money and not delivering. It is one thing to ban a player, but it is theft and fraud when they accept payment and then refuse to deliver.

There are actual programs to hack the game files, RIP. Open one up, use it to find the files for gems and pearls and give yourself millions of each. I have read about them but never tried actually using one.

As for the backup and restore exploit that once existed, that took a lot of time and effort. I used it for about a year and my FP was still less than 600 as of last week. I stopped using it when one of my lesser birds got banned about a week after the banning started. My primary account has never been banned until now and I have been playing the straight and narrow for a long time.

I still believe this is about the Report Button and clans using it in coordinated attacks on members of other clans. A few weeks ago we faced a clan from another country and our members started dropping like flies and Rovio was go so far as to kick them from my clan, leaders had no say in the matter. Over the weekend we faced another clan that had some of our former members that we kicked because of bad behavior and now it has happened again. Out of three devices and three birds, I lost two. These former members didn’t know about my third account and that one lives on.

The only silver lining here is that my clan lives on, though quite a bit weaker now. I would see clans in the past that were nothing but empty shells with the leader banned and nobody having power to kick the leader’s account. They died. This time Rovio kicked my primary account after banning me and my co-leader was automatically promoted to leader/owner.

I have spent years playing this game, spending real money on it and even reaching out through this forum to Bankler and Hank reporting issues and trying to help them make this game better for everybody. They are making it worse and honest players that don’t use hacks or even exploits are being banned and kicked. That is wrong. Seems Rovio doesn’t want people playing if they have some resources, even if they spent hundreds of dollars to buy those resources.

Not just wrong, but now it becomes theft on Rovio’s part. Some people on this forum have said that Rovio is the real cheater, and I always dismissed such comments. They have been proven right. I have seen it with my own eyes for the past month. There is a serious problem when honest people that spend money get banned and Rovio pockets the money. I am not claiming to be one of those because I did use exploits.

Actually, Hank, don’t bother. Already reported to Apple that Rovio accepted payment and refused to deliver purchased items. Tomorrow I will contact my credit card and report theft and fraud.

Your clan is probably nothing more than a shell now, Dave. I imagine the members started leaving once your bird was banned. If you didn’t have any co-leaders nobody would have been allowed to accept new members. Unless maybe it was an open clan, then I don’t know. Still probably just a shell though without a real leader position.

I have three devices and play three different birds. Sometimes I would petition to join a clan we had played to check them out, nothing sinister. I came across one that put up a good fight, and a week later it was just a banned leader with two co-leaders. I stayed a day and then one of the co-leaders left, so I bailed.

Many of the members of my clan that got banned and kicked were not using it, Ryan. They had been playing the game since it came out and earned decent flock powers. It only happened while playing one battle with my clan, but I have heard it happening to other clans in other battles, honest players getting banned and kicked. People that played and played and spent quite a bit of real money on this game.

A couple of things about that backup and restore exploit, and yes I will call it that. I did not seek it out, it was discovered by accident and would not have ben discovered, at least not by me, if Rovio hadn’t made a mess of the Easter update a couple of years ago. As far as I know nobody else, at least not here, had discovered it. It was immediately reported and kept quiet.

I let it go through a few updates, and kept contacting Rovio about it. It wasn’t until Rovio finally just blew me off that I started advertising it, and even then it still took over a year for them to do anything about it.

The bannings are simply wrong. It is one thing to download a hack program, another to use exploits tat have been reported and given plenty of time and opportunity to fix. What is worse is that if a player gets banned during a battle Rovio wil kick them from the clan, no choice for the leader or co-leaders. I still think that is an abuse of the Report button.

I will side with DisAB.ed on this issue.

Yue, some have been writing Rovio for years about the glitches. Like myself. I found the backup and restore method by accident, mainly because of that Easter update a long time ago. I contacted Bankler right away, then continued with Hank, and nothing. Now instead of fixing it they just ban long time players that have given so much time, effort and real money to this game.

Not sure how much longer it will last. With Jon being shot down, that is major. Guess Rovio has millions of players and doesn’t care about dedication, and this forum is pretty limited and obscure. But for us long time players, it is really serious.
