I think I know what triggers lowered prizes in Arena. For me it happened only when I let the game to stay in background, what eventually caused logout from Facebook account. After logging in 4 out of 4 times I have done this – the result was the same – lowered prizes (like in attached picture).
Where does it lead us:
1) Rovio patched back-up glitch
2) Rovio intentionally replaced back-up glitch with this f**c-up glitch, lowering feathers income during Arena streaks
3) It was/is pointed towards ‘glitchers’ but it hit a lot of people with unstable internet connection
There is few things I notice playing last three months AB2 Arena:
– no matter what is your Flock Power – your opponent destructometer fills quicker than yours in relation to points earned by destroying structures
– I had game frozen after game 7 a couple of times (5 times out of 90 I’ve been to 7th opponent)
– like everyone I get in game 5, 6 and 7 opponents with higher flock power (30-70 more on average) or more recently slightly higher (15-30 FP) but loaded with spells.
But with today update there is more:
1) we can see real rank of the player which is our opponent – if he has better ‘frame’ that means he plays frequently and win more
2) there is just slight chance that you would go beyond 6th opponent without using gems
3) you don’t get the same row of birds as your opponent – so if get bad birds at first room – you are in deep sh….
Just have a look at mine opponent (picture below):
– he had his FP 30 higher than me
-> that goes for about 4 million points of difference if we hit every structure the same way -> that means that I had to clear 1,5 room more than him to win
– he had 4 spells with him – I brought 5 with me, though I had no chance, because…
– in the first room he got Terrence and cleared it with ease for 4,5 mln, and I got Terrence after using 2 other birds and cleared the room with astonishing 3,5 mln
So to sum up, Rovio again tweaks their algorithm to take more gems/money from players….
or as they would say “they are creating more realistic gaming experience….” NO COMMENT :)
@yue-zhang I don’t think a big ban is coming. As people mentioned cheaters found new method – now they need just seconds to clone their profiles and put them into new accounts. I looked at todays Boot Camp and guess what, there are several maxed out cheaters with the same star rank of 155 (by the way there are more star ranks that in top100 that seem to be non random with most of them being iteration of number 5).

And what are the odds – all of the cheaters with star rank of 155 are Russians. Don’t get decieved by their different hats. They have all of them so they can change them anytime.
I think the only way to get rid of the cheaters is to block MAC address of the devices they are playing (by AB2 programmers).
@photokool just look at Flock Power manipulation our clan was beaten up lately. Screenshots were taken within 5 hours.
Next two cheaters, no.1 and no.3 in clan battle ranking. Those two are getting 510 points in clan battle. Their clan is leading by 723. If they were banned and their scores were erased the battle would even up a little bit.
I reported them but Rovio, again and again does nothing.
And their astonishing star level of 8.
