Hmm, interesting. I know exactly the things you’re talking about but never made the connection between that and the bridge. I guess normally I must just shoot them in plenty of time without realizing what they controlled. Also, I normally play without sound because I’m playing somewhere that I don’t want the sound to bother others, or I’m playing while watching TV. At least I know what to do now. Thanks!!
clh42@clh42AH, thanks for the clarification. I didn’t realize that Goldbrick gave multipliers on everything. I thought it only multiplied actual gold bricks. I guess that does change things a bit.
I’ve been trying a period of using only Goldbrick, but since there were so few actual gold bricks in most levels, I found myself just stacking and stacking the Goldbrick tool and never activating it because I didn’t find any gold bricks. Thus I thought it was a total waste to collect all that energon and never use it. Sounds like you’re saying I should always activate it as soon as it’s charged to 3 and not bother waiting for actual gold bricks to show up?
Does collecting more energon beyond 3 before activating do anything for you, or is that just a waste? As I said above, should I always just activate it immediately when it’s charged to 3?
Thanks again!
clh42@clh42Oh, yeah, I did accomplish that achievement.
Any other reason other than that that anyone can think of, for either way?
clh42@clh42Yep. If I had to guess, it was removed given the new feature to be able to change the bot on a note for 1 gem.
clh42@clh42I think I’m done with the game. Today, gem rewards for recipes in the lab have been cut in more than half.
clh42@clh42Anybody have any hope we’ll get the previous silo storage level back, even if we don’t get the materials yet? I have a couple of completed missions I’m waiting to collect (my silo is full after it reverted back). Just wondering if I should continue to wait, or spend materials in the lab to make room for the stuff from the missions?
clh42@clh42Just thought I’d post back after my previous question, in case anybody else has the same question, I did finally eventually get Airachnid on another Easy portal mission. But it was still like another 15 or 20 missions after I’d even posted the question above.
clh42@clh42Playing the nodes is what I WANT to do, just when *I* want to do it. But the way the game is structured, you really can’t do it. The rest is pretty boring to me, but it has to be done to be able to do well running nodes as the nodes get harder.
I did just start doing something I hadn’t been doing. That’s spending pigs in order to speed up missions. I did have about 13,000 pigs piled up, and since I’ve rescued all of my TF’s, there’s nothing else to save them for, correct?
At some point, when I have time, I need to start experimenting with piggy’s lab. I did find the post that tells everything you can make, and how.
clh42@clh42I do use most video doublers, and I do harvest coins every 4 hours. I of course always choose a buddy.
I have not gotten into the energonicons yet beyond the 3 default ones. I guess I need to explore that more.
I guess what I haven’t been doing is run many nodes. I just right now don’t have a lot time to actively play nodes (harvesting coins and starting/ending missions takes only a couple minutes in passing). But as I said, when I do, I seem to only earn 2,000 or 3,000, which I do double.
I’ve run bonus nodes in the past but still think I only get maybe 10,000 coins, which I double. I stopped running these for now because I’m trying to earn enough gems to unlock all the slots in the missions. I’ve only got the last slot on the Hard mission portal left. After that I’ll start spending gems on other things.
But it sounds like maybe you guys are playing this ALL the time just to keep doing well with earning coins/gems and keeping up with upgrades. That’s not what I want to do. I want to just play when I have time, not be forced to play all the time. Honestly, I’ve been on the verge of quitting the game entirely for a few weeks now.
clh42@clh42How is this even accomplished? I’m at level 205 and can’t keep over 100,000 coins for very long. All of my TF’s are around level 7 or 8, with a few at level 9. As soon as I get enough coins to upgrade a TF, I upgrade them, putting me back down to near 0.
Running nodes, the most coins I usually get is maybe 2000. On RARE occasions I’ve gotten maybe 10000. I’m running missions constantly and get coins from that, but again, just enough to keep up with the upgrades. I even paid the $10 to unlock Jenga mode which I wish I hadn’t. Most Jenga runs are 1000 coins or less, with the occasional run netting maybe 2000 or 3000.
I just don’t see how it’s even possible to have 1,000,000 coins, must less the multi-millions being mentioned.
What am I doing wrong, or not doing that I should?
clh42@clh42I was actually about to post my own thread with the subject line something like “About to quit playing, please convince me otherwise.”
I do already do most of what’s suggested in the original post. I do still enjoy the actual game play.
My problem is that I’m no longer playing when *I* want. I’m playing whenever I can (which I’m sure Rovio loves but is starting to turn me off and if I quit playing then Rovio won’t like it) so I have things available to play when I do actually want to. The waiting game is just driving me crazy. I keep ending up with medium or hard difficulties that I can’t complete until I upgrade the bot. I know I can skywarp them but I don’t think I should have to. And that just slows things down more because you get very little coin or pigs out of a skywarped event, and then you have to wait for another event to be built.
The straw breaker for me was this past weekend where I wanted to play on the airplane, but I ended up spending 4 hours doing essentially nothing but Jenga runs, which got very boring after about the 1st hour straight, because there was nothing else I COULD do. Once I cleared out the few events I had active, it took long enough to rebuild a new event that I played maybe one event an hour in between the Jenga runs. And because I was on an airplane I had no Internet so no video doublers.
clh42@clh42Can you get both, or only one or the other? I’ve only been playing the game about 2 months, but playing pretty regularly. I’m at level 110. I got Arcee pretty quickly after I opened the first mission portal (took a few missions before I actually got her out of the random 3 pick of the 5 rewards).
But after that, I’ve never seen Airachnid even offered in any missions in either the easy or medium portal.
Or is the other only available maybe in the hard mission portal once you unlock the first one in the easy portal? I did just recently unlock the hard mission portal but haven’t run any missions in it yet.
Thanks!
clh42@clh42My experience is that they are unlimited for a period of time, or until you’ve played so many in a row within a certain period of time, and then they stop entirely for everything for a period of time.
So my guess is that there’s a limit to the total quantity you can play per 24 hour period or something like that.
If I only play a few events at a time over the course of a day, I seem to never run out. But if I do a marathon session of many events after events, or Jenga runs, using every video bonus I see, I hit a point and it quits even offering me the video bonus, for anything (coin doubler, enhance buddy, +1 material in the Silo anything). But then the next day they are back. (I’ve never tried to figure out exactly how long I had to wait before they returned, or to see if it reset at midnight or anything like that.)
I have also experienced a few occasions where I am offered the video bonus but it failed with a message like “not available right now” or something like that when I tried to play it. I THINK these are probably just due to a bad network connection. But that is only a guess purely based on the fact that when I play a bunch in a row, normally the option disappears entirely until it resets. So when the option is there and just fails, I guess that’s a bad network, but again only a guess.
