The constant gameplay manipulation is why I quit a few months ago. I really love how Rovio denies it. The irony is rich.

I deleted it @djlarryt and have no regrets. It became comical over the last few weeks. I’ve never seen any game so manipulated. Of course the Rovio reps deny it cause it’s their job to but the game is totally rigged. When the new update comes out just get the lube out and be prepared cause they are gonna get you. Might be fun and easy at first just like this last update but look how things have ended up.

I predicted the day after the last update that people would be leaving in droves and I would bet $100 that I’m right. Just look at how the traffic here at the nest has slowed down. I think that’s a pretty good indicator. They do have a AB2 Facebook page now. Looks like it has around 3,000 likes or so. They had their chance with this game- I absolutely loved it!! But now I despise it.

I totally agree with your assessment of Bankler @djlarryt. I thought all along something suspicious was going on there. I just picked up a vibe that he had integrity and was more than a “yes man”. The App Store is full of thousands of reviews which are much harsher than what we deliver here on the nest. Another “huge minority” I suppose. Glad I’m not fighting this game anymore. It was an around no win/no fun situation. The greed in this game was somewhat hidden in the various manipulation up until about 6 weeks ago. Then it just became blatantly obvious. It is totally rigged. I’d say you are also spot on about the movie and the Nickel and diming. It all lines up perfectly on the timeline of the downfall of this game.

It’s been a broken record playing for a year. They say “Wait until our exciting, new update!” Then the update comes and the only true way to prepare for it is to get out the lube. Their aren’t many FOR SURE things in this world we live but it is 100% for sure that the new update will be centered around one thing and one thing only- $$$$$ and ways to manipulate the player to get it.

Feel free to review the comments on here for the last 6 months. The unfair matchmaking is by far the #1 subject. Has anything been done about this to make the game more fair? Absolutely not. Amazingly it actually goes in the opposite direction and the matchmaking becomes more and more atrocious.

Deleting this abomination was the best decision I’ve made in a while. Absolutely no regrets. What Rovio has done to the players with this game is borderline criminal. My last day playing I got beat in the first round six times in a row by 5 spell opponents. That’s beyond comical.

I have compassion for the beginning players because the game is fun at first. That’s when they put the hook in their mouth. They have hope and faith that improvements will be made to make the game fair. But they will be sorely disappointed.

After all, to have a FAIR game is just asking for too much. Do yourselves a favor and delete this game. It is nothing more than a jig intended to get you hooked while totally manipulating you from every angle possible to get in your wallet. But most importantly you have to ask yourself “Am I even having fun?” I doubt it.

I was an extremely loyal customer of Rovios. I played all of their games and spent lots of $$$$. They have lost all of my business forever. I have zero tolerance for being lied to and manipulated. This company cares absolutely zero about the player and only about their profit margin. Of course I’m in the “huge minority” but that’s ok.

I’ve stated before that the business strategy will backfire sooner or later. Hope the movie was a smash hit for them because their business strategy for gaming will lead to the $$$ drying up. Eventually everyone will catch on and see the corruption and manipulation. I said after the last update that players would be dropping out. People hardly ever even come to the nest anymore. There are 4-5 of us that come here daily but it used to be quadruple that. These select few seem to only vent when they come here. Heck, I would love to dole out compliments. I make a nice living doing that.

The only saving grace we had was the ability to back out of unfair games and choose a fair opponent. When that was ripped away people quit playing and they quit spending. The greatest flingers ever have said bye bye. I’m not in that group. I’m just a guy who liked to play a game a few times a day. I just wanted something fun and fair. I don’t mind spending $20 here and there to play something cool. But this has ceased being anywhere near cool.
In my mind it just boils down to piss poor management. I don’t blame the foot soldiers. Perhaps I’m wrong. Perhaps the average gamer enjoys being gamed. Not me however.

I’m reminded of a small town bar I used to visit in my youth. In the back room there was a video poker game. The bars owner was a friend of mine and he told me the game was set up to destroy the player and yield wild profit for the house. People would line up to throw their pay checks away on this poker game. It always boggles my mind. But eventually they caught on and stopped playing. All the business dried up. A few years later the entire bar closed for various reasons having to do with all around pissy game play management.

Six tries today. Six epic fails. It’s either a moneysucker or I suck. Made it to the boss twice. Direct hits by Terrence didn’t phase.

On an unrelated note. I finally beat 629. I think this game has a compassion mode if you fail a level like 40 times. For the second time it freaked out on me. Golden pigs galore. Unexplainable. By the time I polished off the 6th room I had 14 birds left. Every bird I shot filled up the destructometer like twice.

Well said brother. Well said. It’s one thing to compete against cheaters but when the entire game is set up to beat you then why bother. Coming here to the Nest is ten times more fun for me than playing the game itself. Sad.

This game as a whole seems to have hit a new “rock bottom”. It might be making all kinds of Jack for the makers but it stopped receiving my jack about two months ago. I can’t stand the arena anymore so I don’t play. It’s totally manipulated and stocked full of cheaters. I was doing one campaign level per day and the DC. But I’m stuck on 629 for 4 days and the DC’s have become comical this week. I’m running out of options other than deleting the entire game.

@djlarryt you are one of the few who has stuck around as long as I have. Do you ever ask yourself why we still do it? I know I do.

Another DC that is beyond my talents. Multiple direct hits by Bomb, Terrence and Silver do no damage whatsoever. I’m sure some of you guys will have no trouble today with it but I don’t think I could get the job done if I had a dozen birds on the Boss alone. Tried 4 times and that was 4 times too many.

Django asked me to see if I had been demoted after a month off from arena play. So I did. I hadn’t been demoted. Still diamond. So I thought what the heck, might as well play a few while I’m here. Big mistake. Played 6 tickets. Got smoked in the first round every time. Every opponent had 5 spells, low star count, counterfeit pics and scored over 6 million with birds all (11) or higher. Oh well…. Back into retirement I go. If this game ever becomes fun and fair would someone be so kind as to tag me in a post so I will receive a notification. Until then, take care folks and hope to chat one day about how great the game is instead of a corrupt circus.

Glad I came here to read the comments. I won’t even waste my time on it. It’s a frustrating and fun game at times. It’s easy to impulsively buy gems when stuck on a level. I know I’ve done it many times…. But not anymore.

I played the Arena daily for about 6 months and the scoring has always been an issue. Used to be by the time you left the first screen you were 2 million in the hole. Then came the days of the 3-card Monty at the end- people were going nutty. I quit playing it several weeks ago so I don’t know what’s going on now but I will take your word for it that its screwed up. Nothing would shock me with this game.

I would agree with your observation. I’m doing one campaign level per day and I feel they are easier than at 500. Currently at 629. I have noticed that today it’s taking me to the Game Center as soon as I hit the app. Just different but working.

Django it is quite refreshing not to fight the Arena on a daily basis.

Off the subject of DC. Apologies. Are the Arena opponents still painfully fake? It was pathetic when I hung it up a few weeks ago. The avatars they use are so, so counterfeit. I tend to buy into the conspiracy theory that Rovio created these ghosts. The hackers are easy to spot. Low star level and maxed out birds with 5 spells. I’m sure they just dug in their pocket and ponied up a grand for these (12) level birds. ?

I will forever be in awe how this huge minority of players in the nest can draw the same opponents with hundreds of thousands of players. Pure coincidence ?

That’s (3) of us in the Nest who just happened by pure coincidence to play the same character out of “hundreds of thousands”. I refuse to believe the game was manipulated Larry. ???? I might be in the huge minority on this topic but I think there might be a problem with matchmaking. Just maybe. A wee wee little one. Hundreds of thousands of runs… And yet I kept drawing the same playas The day I quit the Arena I drew 5 opponents in a row on round (1) of the win streak who were 7 star rank, level 10 birds, and 5 spells.

Best of luck putting this baby back together. It needs it.

Yoshi, I’m sure you recall me asking about this on the “Luck” forum a few weeks ago. This feat has totally eluded me. I have mad respect for anyone who has accomplished this whether it is pure luck or skill.

Thanks for the responses!! Much appreciated. One more question: I have alignment problems when I have to loft a bird high in the sky. The scoreboard (my name and score/opponent etc) interferes with my line of sight. It’s hard to gauge the full direction of the shot for me. Have any of you guys had this issue or can relate to what I’m saying?
