Their frame, name and pic matched but fp was different. Below the master league the fp of your opponent is manipulated so that it gradually increases as you get a higher overall arena ranking. This is why you can play against players with a high level frame but whose fp is low. Their fp has been altered according to your level. So these are real people you are playing against but their scores are being adjusted downwards according to their adjusted fp. Hope this settles the bot/real person debate.

Yeah and it is very suspicious that usually my opponent fills up their meter just that one extra time more than me. Re: the clan battles it looks like we are about to lose our fourth battle in a row which has never happened before and every time it is against clans with quite a lot higher fp than us. So I wouldn’t be surprised if that is now also rigged to get us to pay gems to try and compete. We’ve also lost quite a few clan members yet we are higher in the clan leaderboard so that tells you a lot of people have already left.

I’ve been playing the game pretty much since it came out but I’m so close to just calling it a day with it now. I don’t blame the developers. They probably know the effects all these shafting changes will have but it is the guys in charge who force these changes through. They don’t care about the gamers they just want the money.

I agree with you Jim apart from one thing. If you have to deliberately lose to get yourself in a position to win which you admit you do and I do as well that is crap. You shouldn’t have to cheat the system to try and win anything. At the moment the vast majority of people aren’t doing what we do but eventually more and more people will I suspect. And then they might try and stop players basically cheating the system to win. When that happens maybe you might change your opinion.

@rgc all changes are targeted primarily at those who already spend money I think. Your average casual gamer will never spend money on it and they know that. The new arena I think is designed to pummel those who already pay to get top of MEBC league to see if they will do the same on the arena leagues. I think a fairly small minority pay huge amounts and they want to hit them harder.

That level is easy if you don’t mind waiting around for pig to lose all their health. Get him in the endless loop. But it isn’t endless actually as each time he loses a tiny bit of health. So just get on with something else for about 10 minutes, come back and he should be toast.

@rgc I’ve seen that loads of times. I’m guessing it’s where players have paid gems for a rematch and that’s their improved score so it shows their progress on their first run but only updates their score at the end. But the game is so rigged it who knows.

They aren’t killing their own game though because the top guys in my bootcamp league complete the DC and KPP every day. I know this because when I complete both I finish in the top 20 of my league. If I don’t then I always finish outside the top 50. And it’s the same people at the top every day and some have a lower fp than me so they must be spending loads of money on it. So what they are doing is working with the idiots who are willing to spend to get to the top. If it wasn’t working they would change it back but if anything they are making it harder and harder to complete so it must be working. This is why they have changed the arena to follow a similar model ie by having leagues similar to the bootcamp league to also try to get players to spend to get to the top.

Now I’ve played this arena a bit more (and I should’ve realised this a lot sooner but oh well) what they are trying to do is replicate the bootcamp competitiveness on the arena. Because in my bootcamp league it is pretty obvious a lot of them pay gems to get the DC and KPP completed every day so I guess they think people will pay to try and get higher up the rankings. Maybe it works maybe it doesn’t but all I know is I’ve never won so many gems as I am now just by deliberately losing and then putting a streak together. And I’m also spending a lot less time on it as well so it’s a win-win as far as I’m concerned. The only downside is the arena is now totally boring to play.

Well on the face of it I don’t get how this update will make them more money for the reason you said but we will find out soon enough because if they don’t change it then it’s obviously raking it in. I have got competitive in the past on the old arena and spent gems on more tickets (not money though) but I just can’t be arsed with it anymore so personally I’m spending less gems but like I say we will soon find out if it’s been (hopefully) a disaster for them.

So if this is right and you can no longer be demoted that means that by playing normally i.e. by not deliberately losing doesn’t that mean that there is going to be a hell of a lot of people in the master league at the end of the season? And also what happens at the start of the next season? Do you start in the same league or does everyone start in the bottom league? Be interesting to see what they do.

I got to the master league and then deliberately lost a few times and got demoted. If that’s not happening anymore they’ve further tweaked it as they’ve noticed people losing on purpose. That’s good to know then I will make sure I don’t get promoted. It’s ridiculous what you have to do to get around their shit.

I just don’t get why anyone would pay gems for a rematch against someone you have got absolutely no chance of winning against. But if they don’t change it then people must be doing just that. Mad.

It’s not whether you have the ability- it doesn’t matter how good you are, if you’re up against someone with a much higher fp than you, you don’t stand a hope in hell of beating them unless they mess up and you can bet that players who mess up won’t be your opponent as the game is rigged to pretty much always put you up against players who didn’t mess it up. Opponent selection is not random.

@maverick you will find out how tough it is once you get up to master league. I agree that the legendary league is easy which is why I’m purposely losing to stay in there. Once you get to master league you won’t find it so easy and you will constantly be put against opponents with a much higher fp than you. I wish you good luck because you are certainly going to need it (and lots of gems)

The tip I put on here before still works for me. Still doing the streak pretty easily every day. I do have fairly high fp though which probably helps. Definitely stay away from the master league though. Nigh on impossible and I think the legendary league streak rewards are better anyway but then I’m after black pearls rather than feathers.

It does work at the moment as that’s what I’m doing and I can get the streak every day again now very easily. Then I just purposely lose for the rest of the day. The downside is you’re not gonna win any weekly tournaments but if you drop low enough and have plenty of tickets you can win possibly for a few weeks in a row later on. They might put a stop to that somehow though depending on how everyone plays it. Think they are counting on players wanting to win every week but I’m not bothered about that so gonna carry on with this tactic for now.

The arena is easy until you get to the master league at which point it puts you up against players with a massive fp advantage so it’s pointless in playing and what then is the point of paying 60 gems to replay against the same player when you have no chance of winning? I can’t see how they will make more money doing it this way as what idiot is going to repeatedly pay and lose? Well some will but not many surely?

the only way to have any success with the new arena is to deliberately lose for a while to get to the lower leagues and then storm it again until you are back in the master league and then repeat. It’s crap. Hopefully they’ll make less money out of it and revert it but I’m not holding my breath.

The only way they’ll change it back if it makes less money than the old arena. That just shows the disdain they have for the players. Everyone should stick together and not play the arena but they won’t unfortunately. I never pay on there anyway and I certainly won’t be starting after this update. Lots of people are obviously still playing it though going by my league but I just can’t be bothered with it anymore. I always get put against players with a much lower fp. I have lost a few but hardly any. As my skill points go up I can see I’m gradually being put against higher fp players but they are still way lower than me so I win most of the time at the moment.

well the birds matched up on the old arena where for example they’d use the same bird  I was using quite a bit and you could see when they’d used a mighty eagle or whatever going by how their score went up. Now you can’t tell coz they are always in exactly the same order.

another way I can tell it’s bots is because my opponent birds pretty much have all the same fp. So if they have blues at 100 fp all their birds have 100 or 99 or 101 for example including Leonard or any those extra ones. Take a look at anyone’s flock and the vast majority of those extra birds have a lower fp than the rest. They may have built one up but not 2. Not one of my opponents have had a difference of more than 1 in their individual bird fps. Not one. Very suspicious.

I am currently only playing the arena each day to get the streak then I can’t be bothered with it. I’ve heard people saying the opponents are bots but I didn’t believe it but now I do because today in every single arena match I played over various levels I saw that my opponent used exactly the same birds in exactly the same order regardless of level. I only noticed because they always started with blues even if that would not be the best bird to use. Yes even against stone structures. So even though I hated the new arena already I now realise it is against bots. What a complete waste of time.

I’ve got nothing against spending some money on games and have done in the past but just as I wouldn’t bet money on an event that I know is rigged I can’t bring myself to spend money on a game that is rigged and AB2 is totally rigged.
