And what if one plays every day but on that last day you couldn’t play (for whatever reason)

So further to my message above – my plan worked and I got slightly more rewards for finishing with more than 5800 points.

And then this morning I find I’ve been demoted to diamond league 3 starting with 5400 points! Why am I not in the legendary league 1 with 5800 points?

SO I’d not been playing the arena that often over the last few weeks but I had managed to get promoted to the legendary league 3. Had reached about 5950 points, then from Friday I went on one of those runs where it was obviously a fix not to win a game (we love those games that are pre determined) and as of yesterday afternoon I was down to 5837 points and losing. So I decided not to play so I could get my rewards for 5800 points. There is no way if I had continued playing that I would have ended up with 5800 or more points. Obviously in the weeks league of 30 people I have never won any gems and this week i was 28 out of 30 with no points.

I presume that if I never play the arena again i will stick at 5800 points and get the rewards every few weeks. I’m never going to win any gems so doesn’t seem much point in playing?

Great thinking Rovio. I think you may need a new business development manager – maybe next time one with half a brain?

I don’t play half as much as I used to – but has anyone else noticed that, assuming you try to win every game (i.e some people play to lose apparently) you can win 5-6 games on the trot and then you lose 5-6 games on a trot.

So I did think I’d keep going on the arena without going mad.

Since the new league started on Monday morning I’ve played 8 times and lost comfortably each one. I’m not sure what the point of the arena is anymore? You can’t use spells (in fact you can’t gain spells anywhere in the game anymore as far as I can tell), there is no chance of getting in the top 10/15 to get a few gems, so all that happens is that you lose points – but who cares anywhere?

I like to play a game where I have a chance at least – or if I win a game I win something decent. I have no chance with this game and there is no incentive to play and win.

I suppose I’ll do the arena game every now and then when I’m bored or have nothing else to do but I’m afraid the days of playing regularly are gone.

Yup – used to play the arena 4-5 times a day

Having lost 7 games on the trot over a couple of days with no hope of winning any games anytime soon, I just don’t see the point. I don’t mind losing, that’s life, but I don’t want to play a game where I have no chance of winning.

I can’t see me lasting much longer with this

Whilst the old Arena was always ultimately stacked against you eventually, at least it was understandable. The new version is completely baffling and has no logic. Apart from no free tickets and no extra bird, I can’t quite understand that if each game/round is more equal how is it virtually impossible to win from round 3 onwards?   And how did I get relegated after losing two games on the trot? Not that I’m bothered but how can I be relegated mid week yet still be in the same 30 players league for the week?

The whole thing makes no sense. Interestingly, because the game was paused for 4 days I quite liked not playing and now I’ve come back to this incomprehensible league I don’t feel the need to play regularly because I’m not sure what the point is.

Happy for people to explain it to me!

Something very strange is happening with the Arena. Since Sunday morning I have lost 14 out of 16 round 1 games. And the other 2 I lost in round 2.

I’m in Diamond League and are always in Diamond or Legendary league. My flock power is 704 and I’m quite good at this game. I’ve never had such a run.

Everyone I play is 20 or more flock power than me.

Am I bothered? No. Will I cheat? No. Will I pay? No. Life’s too short for any of that.

But I am annoyed that Rovio seem to have picked me out for this treatment (or are others having this problem?) and made the game that much less enjoyable.

I think Rovio is struggling financially.

I have played level 1 of the Arena 4 times today and lost all 4. The “best” defeat was by 10 million points and the worst by about 20 million. Level 1. Yes, level 1. And I’m not a bad player and didn’t make any mistakes in three of those games.

Oh and the daily challenge for the last two days has been impossible.

Oh and Rovio, I don’t spend money on the game so don’t rely on me for cash.

You guys are all lucky. Since my iPad updated my programme automatically I can’t even get into the programme. Don’t Rovio actually check that their updates work? They are the most incompetent app company I have ever come across.

 

So so I presume I will drop down a league and miss out on other stuff as well  some idiots may try and catch up by, guess what, giving Rovio more money

 

well im not doing that  in fact in a way I’m hoping that it never gets fixed and then I can walk away from the game  it’s all a bit boring anyway

So I have a question – you can change your opponent by paying 15 gems. Has anyone does this? Does one get an easier opponent, same sort or harder?

In fact I’m clearly doing something wrong. I saw on You Tube just now that someone had posted how to beat this level. Well for the first 6 rooms (out of 7!) there was a golden thingy (don’t know what it’s called) to get an extra bird.

Well after three years of playing this game and after getting to level 1460 and Diamond League and FP of 260 odd I have NO idea how to generate these golden thingys. There obviously is a way of doing it because I have attempted level 1460 about 15 times so far and got to room 6 on about 8 occasions. And in all of those games I have never seen a golden thingy.

So pray tell me how you get these golden thingys for an extra bird as obviously there is a way.

Unless Rovio posted that cheat and obviously they cheated?

Something to amuse you all – today I’ve played a few arena games. I’ve needed to play a video at the end 4 times today. All 4 times I got a blue bird and all the structures could not have any damage done to them by a blue bird. For all 4 goes I got nil points and lost the game. 3 of the games by 10,000 points or less.

Rovio are such a laugh

Good one this evening. Had to play a video in the arsenal for an extra card and whilst there was a replay button for the video there was no “x” to leave the video. So had to shut the game and start again. Happened three times.

 

Anyone else with with this issue. The video was about hidden items (can’t remember the title of the game/video). Ironic really as I couldn’t find the “x”

Am I right in saying that level 1040 is not possible if you don’t get it with the big red first time?

Firstly it’s hard to get to the boss level room and then when you do you’re only hope is big red. And if you don’t get first time it then it’s not possible?

It may or may not fall down but it then gets to an impossible position where it is not possible to get. So even spending thousands of gems (don’t worry I’ve not!) is a waste of time because it;s impossible to hit the boss pig?

No only in the later gane levels – 6 and 7 mainly. So I think they sorted that one out.

You’re on level 466?

Only 534 to go until where the game is now. By which time at 20 per week you’ll be way way way behind again.

And this is why I never upgrade birds with feathers or even bother with hats – no matter what flock power/strength you, you will only ever play opponents more powerful than you.

As for bird “strength” – give me strength! Sometimes I can bomb something and get 1.5m points and other times with the same structure i’m lucky if I get 300k points.
