@maverick78  Maybe we need to send Rovio some bills for all the work we’ve done, tickets we’ve opened and followed up on, and for any gem purchases we made trying to beat cheaters (essentially buying them some rewards!).  If it weren’t so infuriating, it would be a long hard laugh at their incompetence and pathetic business practices.

Keep in mind that everyone gets pushed down the MEBC leaderboard as more and more cheaters take up many top spots.  Rovio does not adjust everyone else after cheaters are banned, so whatever points you’re left with at the end of a particular day (cheaters’ placements included) is what you end up with even after they “disappear” off the leaderboard and/or show as “banned” in their profiles.

I usually end up as Amethyst 1, close to Amethyst 2, but it got harder and harder as time goes on.  I finally decided I need a break from the insanity…collecting 5,00o coins for an ugly hat takes 2 seasons and that is just crazy, IMO.  😉

@maverick78  You are SO right!  Aside from their lack of pride, what’s it really to them whether some members of the non-cheating team collect twice?  They don’t care that

1)  the cheaters get TONS of loot while cheating, keep others from being on leaderboards, and make the game much less enjoyable,

2) others spend gems trying their dead-level best to beat the cheaters,

3)  it’s insane to ask people to keep checking back every hour or two for 24 hours to see if in fact they’ve won after cheaters are removed, and

4) it’s not like those “rewards” cost Rovio a flipping dime (do NOT get me started on those insulting “feather awards” on the map, “pearl awards” anywhere other than battles, or “gem awards” anywhere other than floor 60 of ToF). 🙄

If Rovio sends me one more canned response about “we’re working hard to resolve the cheating issues…blah blah”  I WILL VOMIT.  They have become a well-oiled greedy pig machine, and my current hiatus is long overdue!

Maverick- I just got the same canned response from the same “support bot” (Klaudia).  I replied that the have had YEARS to fix the cheating loopholes and that I am SICK TO DEATH of spending lots of time and piles of gems only to be denied the prizes that we non-cheaters deserve.  I think the ONLY way they will actually fix this crap of cheaters collect/fair winners get zilch is if a significant number of us quit buying ANYTHING for at least 2 months or more.

I may get banned for all I told them (wasn’t abusive, but def steamed!), but at this point I am so sick of their robo-replies, lack of respect for non-cheaters who’ve played a long time, and nonchalance toward cheating in general.  They always try to play it down, as if only “a few” are cheating…PUHLEEEZE!

@Flutterfly  – I think you’re likely right about Rovio finding a way to make players use tons of gems!

I’d much rather lose the Room Restart than shuffle, because sometimes there is simply a crappy bird order assigned.

 

Both shuffle AND restart are rigged to make you score less and/or spend tons retrying CvC, MEBC, etc.

 

Shuffle- says it’s 3 random cards, but surely is interesting that my friend and I tested this together on 2-3 occasions- shuffle at the same place in game and compare our new cards.  In every single instance, we were both dealt the same cards.

 

Room Restart-  will eat your gems, your score, AND your progress on the destructometer.   If you care to test, note exactly where your destructomer is (how much % full), spend the 40 gems and restart, and watch up to 1/3 of your destructometer progress to disappear.

 

In any case, when given a disadvantage because of my options being taken away and others’ not, I feel FAR less inclined to play and definitely uninclined to spend!

 

I’m hearing from other players who get the same canned message about “constantly testing new features”…no matter the subject.  I suppose their actual troubleshooting-type support has become extinct.

@bill-l  I completely agree they should  be removed (I’d truly rather not be tempted to spend gems on them, as Rovio forces people in good clans to buy/spend gems for those events), but ONLY if everyone has them removed.  When they moved the buttons to bottom of screen, I tapped sooo many times by accident!  They also keep the bottom of screen from showing for people who play on their phones.

My beef is that at least several other people I know still have them, so the playing field is unfair.   I’d truly rather not be tempted to spend gems on them, as Rovio forces people in good clans to buy gems for those events.

As far as I know, the last update removed (for everyone) both restart and shuffle in KPP, DC, and points-based clan events.   Just baffled at why only some now have 1 button on the clan battles and MEBC.  Bizarre, IMO.   Am guessing the cheaters still have everything (rolling eyes).

I am getting pretty sick of the whole Rovio greed scheme as well. May be time to find another game….

LOL, it has been too long a day for me, @SB311!  I first read your post as needing to beat a BOSS pig 6 more times and didn’t see the part about legendary chest, lol.     I almost wrote a tip about Map level 5…🤓

I was just starting to play KPP a bit more enthusiatically until they started these end levels with no exit and no true corner where Boss can be pummeled.  Seems that there are also an increasing number of incidences where my birds’ abilities fail to activate within DC/KPP…

I got through today’s DC 4-4-6 on 2nd run through with 60 gems spent.

KPP is an entirely different evil.  First level, the boss pig keeps going somewhere out of reach.  Once, it went behind sling shot (whyyyyy can’t we shoot birds backward like in legacy AB games???!!), once to the far rt bottom, but then bounced up to a little ledge so that no birds could reach.  The one time it didn’t go out of reach, it was apparent that I might need 12 birds to finish it…

SO angry bc I need those darned apples.  Will not spend more gems though!  I am pretty much out of time on KPP now (another issue…2-3 hrs wd be more reasonable, imo), so will have to play the lame jetpack thing for apples. :-p

You are absolutely right Joe!  There are many ways this can mess up people’s play, even with daily tasks…though once in a while I have played without hats and done pretty well (I swear I think DC felt sorry for my little bald birds ;-) )

Just curious as to whether any of you completed the Bubbles adventure after uncaging?  I did after working on it for a day and a half, then spending for 3 xtra birds on last level…it was EIGHT freaking rooms!  🙄  That is getting utterly ridiculous!   I thought 6 was bad….

What I noticed is that when I close out of AB2 app completely, then go back in, the Globetrotter hats my birds had been wearing before I closed the app have been removed and the poor birds are bald!

Seems to be a bug as another player I know had the same experience.  We both have iPads, so I have no idea if this is happening on other types of devices but thought I’d share.  I even tried rebooting my iPad to see if it changed that behavior…it did not.

So, just keep an eye out.  It would surely not be fun to get halfway through your battle round and wonder where those hats went!

You are SO right about the need for confirmation to spend gems on chests, as well as in that situation I mentioned earlier.  When screen wakes on a clan event landing page, it auto-starts a round (and eats gems).

I have hit the purple chest by accident a few times when claiming a free prize.  Have learned to tap well below that area, but it was very, very costly!

Thanks for the heads-up on the button functions.  I have heard MEBC and Clan Battle play differently as well.  Clan battle has been hard enough, imo!

I wd question its validity, SB.  We see people in our clan w extra birds activated or other items that show us they are playing “something” (winning arena streaks, hats, etc., though not necessarily clan stuff.  Someone might go into an event and not play…am guessing the indicator wd count that, based on how daily tasks work.

What’s really needed in clan, imo, is ability to message members (from leaders) if they are not helping when needed, permanent bans/kicks for trolls, and longer length area for clan banner message (since many do not use chat).

Is FF gone then?  Or does it flip-flop with shuffle?  Either way, will drive me bonkers!

Great!  New ways for people to lose gems without trying….  I use FF all the time!

I already have issues with being on a specific clan event page,  temporarily turning device off, then back on and it automatically starts a game (costing gems and time I might not have been planning just then).  Am starting to wonder whether these are bugs or on-purposes??

I have not installed update yet, but was told that MEBC and some other things are different as well.  Any details there?  I know we’ll be forced to update (likely tomorrow)  but wd like to know what I’m in for. 😉

Hi Federviecher,  I can certainly present this option to our clan.   How would this work, though?  All of us would need to join up with you, right?   If so, can you tell me a bit about how you operate, your requirements, etc., so I can present the information?

We also have at least 6 of us who are higher fps, and hard core players.

That is actually very helpful, Bill!   I know what you mean about the floating recruiters.  In one of the prev clans I was in, there was a persistent player who came in every 3 days or so and also said derogatory things about the clan leader.  I think there should be a permanent ban option for such players, if not by Rovio then at least by clan leaders.  Most of us muted that guy, but it was still disruptive and imo abusive.

Another use for the ban feature would be those people who swoop in last minute to join a clan at end of an event to post 1 point and collect rewards (another type of “scavenger” floater).

I have removed the fp minimum from the clan info a few days back, but maybe need to put something more eye-catching.

If anyone else knows any other things I can do to start the traffic inflow again (other than fbook, which I am not on), please share thoughts.

We ended up getting on Discord (the app is free on pretty much every platform) at the suggestion of a clan member.  It has been a bit challenging for some to get onto the channel (issues with invites), but once on, it is far better than clan chat.

We have 2 channels set up on Discord- one for all members, and a Leaders channel.  It is pretty cool bc it also notifies you when there is a message.  Of course, there is no censor unless you want one, no chat wrap (losing infor quickly) that we’ve seen so far, and there are emoticons and other features that are missing in clan chat.

Bill- have you found a way to suggest the private messaging to clan members to Rovio?  I too am a clan leader and we really see a need for that!  Not everything is a public announcement, lol.

Hey guys!  A group of active U.S. based players started a new clan just over a week ago and have already been to 50 and cut back down to 18 to keep only active players and quickly cut the zombies.  If you are an active player looking for a clan, we need your help as we seek to quickly grow back to 50, keeping active players only.  We require participation in all events and clan battles (currently 2/2 for clan battles and it looks like we will win the current one by quite a margin as well).  We have a good mix of flock power levels.  We are currently accepting 300 flock power and above as long as you will consistently contribute minimum of 3 points for 1-2 day events and 6 points for the 3 day events and be active on clan chat.  As long as you communicate to us in advance that you have an emergency, are going to on a cruise, etc., we do give you a hall pass now and then. ;-)
