Saphira@kgeisler
I have two of my extra birds at the same card level as the rest of my flock, although without hats they have 11 less flockpower. It seems like most of the opponents I have had in the arena have extra birds with a lot less flockpower than their other birds.
It seems like different people are having very different experiences with the new arena. I like it overall, but at first I won all matches easily and now I’m not. I have been able to get through the streak each day, but now it takes several attempts and I refuse to pay 60 gems to redo matches.
Saphira@kgeislerI think it’s just a bug. I had that happen a couple of times, but usually it works fine.
Saphira@kgeislerOf course I picked the card with 850bp instead of any of the others which all had feathers. No doubt next time I will pick feathers when we have a double black pearl event going on. I also got pearls from the chest after we won the clan battle! Oh well…repeat to myself “It’s just a game.”
Saphira@kgeislerI think they could, but I’m not a leader so I don’t know for sure. You might have to close your clan if you really need to keep someone out.
Saphira@kgeislerSorry, but I agree with @yue-zhang. You have to keep in mind that it is all about your relative skill compared to others. Everyone is increasing their flockpower over time, so you have to get significantly higher scores to really increase your points in the bootcamp. I am frequently getting 62 to 66 points per day with Stella.
Now if you are experiencing true glitches, like having your score set to zero, you should submit a support ticket.
I also find it beneficial to occasionally watch videos of others, like Stan Leeroy or AngryKnight. You can at least see how others have legitimately achieved high scores and realize not everyone with a high score is cheating. I’m sure some of the clans we have played thought we had cheaters when we beat them by a lot, but from our perspective we don’t know why they are scoring so poorly.
Saphira@kgeislerI was glad to have an easy day today. I got through the first boss multiple times, since I was having a bit of trouble with the second one. After that I defeated the third boss in one go. However, I think I have had the same problem as you with that boss on another day, so maybe its difficulty can vary.
Saphira@kgeislerFor me, the apples in the map become available at 5pm Pacific time. They aren’t always still there if I wait until the next day to play the map, but today they were. It seems kind if random. Maybe you need to check at a particular time. Or, like you said, you may be in a test group that just doesn’t get map apples.
Saphira@kgeislerI forgot about the apples in the treasures! So that’s 3 more. I guess once in a while I can get 25 apples in a day, but not often. Also, when I had a level 4 hatchling I never got apples for completing the first two sets of rooms in the DC. I only got the blue gifts. So I think I actually got less apples per day.
Saphira@kgeislerMaybe it is different for you, but for me, the map apples are entirely separate from the DC and KPP apples. I get 4 apples a day from playing any random map levels. Sometimes I just pick an easy one and play it 4 times in a row. I have also gotten up to 7 apples from the DC, since I usually get an apple for each of the first two sets of rooms. If I fail to beat boss pig, then I get two more apples for the first two sets of rooms, plus three when I defeat the boss. I usually only get 1 or 2 from the TOF, but on a good day I get 3. So for me the maximum is 7 DC +5 KPP + 4 map + 3 TOF + 3 arena for a total of 22 apples. Like you said, you can’t sustain the level 3 hatchling if you feed it every day.
Saphira@kgeislerLevel 3 is easy to sustain if you feed it every other day. Available apples slightly increase when you go to a level 3 hatchling: 4 from map + 3 from arena + 3 to 7 from DC + 5 from KPP + usually 1 or 2 from TOF (16 to 21 per day). The DC varies for me. Usually I get an apple from each set of rooms in addition to 3 for completing it, but some days all I get is blue gifts to send to people.
Saphira@kgeislerAlso, I had my hatchling at level 4 during the summer. That’s why I don’t remember what the exact FP was. I’m currently at 632 without Stella, so my base FP with no hatchling would be a 611. I don’t really know why you thought that you needed to explain all of that to me. Have a nice day!
Saphira@kgeislerI guess I should have explained more thoroughly. I was really just talking about the 7FP increase from a level 3 to a level 4 hatchling. Since that’s only a 1-2% increase for a lot of mid-level players, it’s not going to result in a very noticeable increase in one’s score. I would rather just keep a level 3 hatchling for the extra 21FP than have a level 4 hatchling for 28 more FP, especially with the rainbow feather award. Even if I could sustain a level 4 hatchling, I would definitely only be able to feed it every other day, giving me an average of 1000 feathers a day. I prefer to feed it 1500 feathers about 5 times a week, which gives a slightly higher average. It’s a moot point anyway since I can’t get 50 apples every other day.
Saphira@kgeislerI scrolled back in the map and looked at it. You said you solved it, but I have to tell you that you will see many many variations of this room as you progress, and there is no trick, really. You will usually need one bird to clear those structures out of the way, then another to get the pigs. Sometimes Terence can slam down through all of it, but you have to get the angle right. This type of room is sometimes easy and sometimes very aggravating. Anyway, I completed level 139 three times earlier to see what you were talking about. It wasn’t too hard. If you had trouble, you just need to keep at it and improve your flinging skills! :)
Saphira@kgeislerI think my FP was in the 500s when I leveled up my hatchling to a 4. Obviously increasing FP by 7 doesn’t make a noticeable difference since it’s between 1 and 2 percent. I’m at FP 632/693 (without or with Stella) now so I’m just keeping my hatchling at level 3. The advantage is that I can feed it about 5 or 6 times a week, almost every day, and get 1500 feathers every time. I’ve been picking Stella feathers.
Saphira@kgeislerAs far as a feather jackpot, obviously that doesn’t do much for you, since your FP only increases by 1 or often not at all once you reach 50,000 feathers per upgrade.
Saphira@kgeislerI always thought it was better to upgrade my slingshot, giving an increase of 7 to my FP, than to save for one legendary hat, which is only an increase of 6 compared to a x4 hat. I got all x3 and x4 hats before I started working on x10 hats. I got several x10 hats out of legendary chests, for free, by the time I had all x3 and x4 hats.
Saphira@kgeislerShe doesn’t block spells for me. I enjoy her and find her very useful in the bootcamp, DC, KPP, and clan events. Everything except arena, really. To level her up you need to collect pink feathers. I’ve been getting pink feathers for her when I feed my hatchling.
Saphira@kgeislerIf I have time I’ll look at it later. For now, why don’t you check out video of it on Angry Birds Nest?
Saphira@kgeislerI kept my level 4 hatchling for about 7 weeks with a starting stash of 230 apples, so you could keep one for months if you have 500.
Saphira@kgeislerI can easily sustain a level 3 hatchling without money. Level 4 was not possible, although I did keep it almost 2 months before I ran out of apples and it ran away. I just keep a level 3 hatchling now. I think hatchlings go up to level 7 or 8, but it takes a lot of money to get apples for them.
Saphira@kgeislerAll of the DC bosses are in the map. You haven’t gotten very far in the map, so that is why you haven’t seen them. I do think they have been a little more difficult since the last update, but I beat yesterday’s on my first try and today I think I beat it on my third try. I just got to it in the map, so I don’t have a great strategy for it yet. Sounds like you just need more practice, and no, there is no way to start with more than 8 birds or to use spells.
Saphira@kgeislerOkay, I tested it out on the beginning map levels and I was wrong. Stella was definitely getting around 2/3 of the amount of points as my other birds. Anyway, you are perfectly free to just let her sleep if you don’t like her. You might like the other new birds better whenever they arrive. I hope one of them is Bubbles.
Saphira@kgeislerI’m not sure, to be honest. I think I need to find an easily strikeable room in the map and test it out. Stella has about 2/3 the FP of my other birds, and I know about how many points I get from them with almost total destruction. Should be easy to test once I find a good room for it.
Saphira@kgeislerI don’t think the multiplier works that way. Your base score just gets multiplied by the total flockpower as far as I can tell. So, having my flockpower increase by about 60 definitely helps my scores.
