@dahnlor the exact same thing is happening to me. Normal fights are fine, but in the event, I’m losing stamina and not able to move up my leaderboard. Very frustrating.

Yeah, the knock out three birds in one attack is the worst. You have to be very careful with weapons that do critical hits or damage to other birds. You also need to do math and know your banner sets to make sure you can do enough damage with a bomb rage attack.

I’m taking a very laid back approach to this season. The overabundance of rank 12 teams I meet makes it too annoying to be competitive. I’d also rather grind where I can get mastery.

I was first place and experiencing the same thing. Week 7, still in wood, 21 days remaining.

Can anyone else confirm that if they weren’t in the top three that they show 6 days remaining and week 2?

I saw a team in the arena with a rank 12 Illusionist already. It’s only been 2-3 days since you could even get the class, so either they cheated or spent real money.

If you are a fan of South Park, look for the episode Freemium isn’t Free. It actually explains the phenomenon of people spending large amounts of cash in “free” games pretty well. After the first developer did it, every one else followed.

The final Golden Pig was tough. I used Paladin, Wizard and borrowed Bard. Bard had nightmare, so you got a little extra when the Golden Pig was stunned. Didn’t have to use any consumables.

I don’t keep non set items or older set items. I’ve seen this game glitch enough times that I don’t want to have it crash on me because it is storing too much information. I haven’t heard about this happening, but I don’t want to test fate.

For the Thursday dungeon, I’ve switched to using Guardian, Druid and Rainbird. It’s a good combo since Guardian can hit both the Shogun and all of the others. He’s in that middle ground. It also reduces the attack power on enemies, and has a defensive barrier that last three turns. On the Shogun stage I use my rage on Red, which lets me get rid of him within three turns.

I went up against someone with it. Never again. I got slaughtered, partially because I was using my standard team that included Rogues. Now knowing what the capabilities were, I foolishly entered the battle.

I’m also curious what strategies people have for this.

I heard back from Rovio about the Kindle Fire update availability. Apparently there is a problem with the Amazon update that they are still working on. I’m thinking that the update will come after the event.

Luckily it works fine on my HTC One M8, but I’d really prefer the larger screen on the tablet.

@epicbomber, the Amazon Appstore has not been updated with the the newest version yet unfortunately. I had to play on my phone to get in to the event. I contacted Rovio to ask them what’s up but I haven’t heard back yet.

If history is a guide, and you want to get the new class, I’d suggest you play on your phone and wait until it gets updated on the Fire before trying it again. In the past Rovio was not able to give you the Stone Guard. They just gave you LCs.

Still not in the Amazon Appstore. While the Amazon store is known for late updates, Rovio has usually been pretty good, especially with Epic. I’d love to start grinding to level 50.

At least I’ll finally have a use for those 60+ experience potions I’ve amassed.

@thisepicplaye, I’ve been seeing a few of those types of ads too. You close out, and then nothing. It’s like it doesn’t get the signal that the video stopped. In some cases, I can play it again and it will eventually work.

@londojowo, I wonder if you were in my same league. I saw that player too. Even complained to Rovio. They said they are working on fixing the problems, but they didn’t remove the cheater.

I’m not in my second or third week of being in Diamond. Since I’m rank 10 on most of my birds, it’s become easier to stay in higher leagues. Previously I just scraped in to Platinum and was stuck in Gold for the first two seasons. My leagues have been moderately competitive.

With this update, after playing the game daily for over a year, I think it might be time to call it quits. It’s almost as if Rovio is trying to push us away. The GP is so random for me, I have to open the game at several different times to get it. Add that to the max LC you can get for the week being reduced from the GP, well, that just sucks. Plus the new lower friend limit.

The only benefits I can see from this update is the free purify potions and better match ups in the arena. It’s a shame that it has come to this.

The Shoguns are the worst, especially in the Thursday dungeon. It’s taken me 50 weeks to figure this one out, but I’ve finally discovered that I should use Guardian on this level. the Guardian has damage that is a good cross between the ironclad and dodge nature of this level.

The Brutes on the Saturday dungeon are also my worst. Hard to get the right mix of birds to take them down within the three turn charge. You have to hope for stuns.

@kookaburra67 That’s one of the reasons I avoid resurrection emblems if I can. They seem to happen way more often than expected. Today I had the objective to knock out three birds with one shot (one of, if not my most hated objectives), so I switched from my normal vengeance emblem to shroud. I don’t think the shroud protected itself once. When I fight a shroud emblem, it protects all the time. Frustrating.

After breezing through gold last week, I’m sitting in platinum in a very competitive league. And I’ve missed the first two 3,000 point objectives. I’m just playing to avoid getting sent back, no chance of winning moving up this week.

Another easy week. In some cases, since my team is much stronger than it was in season 1 and 2, I’m progressing faster than I have previously. If things progress like this, I will get in to diamond in two weeks.

Last week I was in a league all by myself, and this week it started out that way. Just yesterday, I have some others, but it is a pretty uncompetitive league, so I should be good to advance.

@mvnla2, I’m keeping up my objectives anyway. Still alone today. Wouldn’t you know it, this week has been a streak of the easiest objectives I’ve had in a very long time. Yesterday it was win three battles, win three in a row, and win three battles with three stars. Four battles in and I was done.

I think since my team is better than it was before, I’ve been moving up quickly. In Silver this week. Anyone else in a leaderboard where you are the only one in it? I’m wondering if I just got lucky or if others will appear later.

This week has been tough. Even though I’ve met all objectives, it has been a very competitive week for me. Probably won’t be able to advance unless the top players miss objectives and I don’t get any bad ones.

I don’t see as many easy teams anymore either. However, my primary team is all rank 10 at this point with good set items. I only got in to platinum on the last week, I was stuck in gold for two seasons it seemed like. So I’m always going up against teams with diamond banners, still putting me at a disadvantage.

I feel your pain. With the second season, the way that Rovio implemented, it isn’t very fair to people that never made it to the highest leagues, as they started in wood with platinum opponents.

Last week I finally made it to silver, but I was so outclassed I got sent back. This week is starting out good, but all I need is some bad objectives and I’ll be stuck.

I noticed that too. The Pirate Captain will counter even though the counter was buffed to another pig.

This event was great for me. Upgraded rank on several classes (only had to respin once), had an uncompetitive leaderboard so I easily took first, earned a ton of snoutlings and a good amount of LC.
