08/23/2011 – Woot! I’m not sure if somebody spinkled magic pixie dust over the v1.5.3 update, but it looks like you can now successfully purchase the Mighty Eagle. Please note, before I was able to make the purchase I had to completely close and restart Angry Birds Seasons. You do this by:
- If it’s running, close Angry Birds Seasons
- Bring up the quick launch menu by quickly double-tapping the round home button at the bottom of your iOS device.
- Now tap and hold on any icon in the quick launch menu until they start shaking and red close button appears
- Close Seasons by clicking the close button
- Relaunch Seasons and now try purchasing the Mighty Eagle again
08/23/2011 – The Moon Festival achievements were added to Game Center. This update was supposed to land in September, so it’s hard to say whether or not this is an indication of another — larger — update coming soon.
08/22/2011 – The Mighty Eagle has finally come to Angry Birds Seasons, but a unknown bug is preventing anyone from actually purchasing it. When you initiate the purchase process the loading icon appears, but shortly after it says, “Unable to connect to iTunes Store”. Rovio is aware of the issue and even left a comment below stating that they are looking into the problem (thanks guys). Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon and we can start accumulating some feathers. We will update you guys as we know more.
Here is more other info about the Angry Birds Seasons v1.5.2 update, including bugs that have and have not been fixed:
- A separate In-App purchase is required to obtain the Mighty Eagle in Angry Birds Seasons. In other words, if you already purchased him in Angry Birds Classic you will have to purchase it again in seasons. In my humble opinion this is to be expected as these are separate apps.
- As AMslimfordy points out below the Golden Egg number discrepancy between iPhone and iPad is semi-fixed.
- The Pause Screen and Level Completion Screen now show the same value.
- Unfortunately, both of these values are one higher than the true value. No matter how you write the numbers, either there is no “Golden Egg 1” or no “Golden Egg 9/10”. In other words, if “The Big Present” is GE-1, then there is no GE-9 (or GE-10, however you want to count “The Big Egg”). If “The Big Present” is GE-3, then there is no GE-1.
- It looks like the bug preventing people from unlocking the Facebook levels in Go Green, Get Lucky has not been fixed. We still to confirm this though, so if you have NOT yet unlocked these levels please try and let us know if it works for you. If it does we will mark this as fixed.
- The Summer Pignic score counter has been fixed.
- It looks like the Summer Pignic Score Addict achievement is still bugged, as well as the Bunny Hunter achievement (for some users).

Yes, 100% possible here and on all but have not been able to get 100% on Seasons Greetings 16 yet.
I am having trouble with Seasons Greedings level 16 also. Can’t get past 95%. I am thinking glitch? Has anyone been 100% successful?
Yes, two ABN users. On the other hand, Rovio has said they will “fix” this, which I suspect means that they will lower the threshold.
woot! I just got 100% with the mighty eagle on 1-16! White bird at the blocks and flag on left, pop up big brother, and follow with fish rectangle. Took a 1,000 tries, but it’s done!
I just got the Feather Picker achievement.
Does anybody have total distruction in Summer Pignic 30? I destroyed everything but 2 blocks and only got 85%.
The highest I got was 87%. Is this a glitch? Can we even get 100%?
It’s possible, even easy to get 100%. Hint: get the eggs.
Yes, I had 1 wooden block and 2 eggs left, and got 87%. When I managed to get all the eggs, even with a couple of blocks 100% was achieved.
Thanks for the advice. I have 100% now. I did not use any boomerang bird, but only Mighty Eagle and destroyed two of the eggs. It gave me total destruction.
You can also achieve 100% if you destroy some of the bouncy stuff right in front of the slingshot.
I see my prior comment was deleted. Glad you took the liberty to delete what I had to say, even though I was not vulgar or offensive. I have now finally gotten the mighty eagle but only after trying all the usual troubleshooting (including what you suggest above before this page was updated). Finally after factory resetting my phone and installing my last backup from yesterday and then updating I was able to buy it. I’ve been home sick for two days, in bed, with nothing to do between coughing fits. Now I have something to fill the empty spaces with.
Yeah, I removed your comment because there are tons just like them. People don’t like to weed through a ton of the same comments, so I will usually remove redundant ones. Nothing personal. That said, glad you have something to do now.
I was actually able to buy mighty eagle in v1.5.2 after I saw everyone else being successful with v1.5.3.
Did you happen to get it in the past few hours? Or yesterday?
It was in the last few hours – just after I saw the comments here about people getting it in v1.5.3. I was away from my computer so didn’t get the update myself, but I did have a rare wi-fi connection, so I thought why not give it a try. It worked. And much to my surprise, it continues to work after upgrading to v1.5.3.
No problem with the purchases and acheivements… Congratulation Rovio….fast update fix..
Well i just got the eagle and it wiped out everything. No stars/GE, all lvls locked. Still have achievements tho. Any suggestions on a fix? Otherwise I’ll just do a restore and see if that works.
Restore is probably your best bet. Hopefully you have done that recently :-\ Sorry to hear that.
No dice on the restore. Oh well guess I’m starting over. At least I still have my achievements and high scores. This is a pretty upsetting glitch. Took me awile to 100% everything. Not happy :(
Don’t know what device you are on, but I learned my lesson the hard way. IMMEDIATELY before updating, I quit the application (I have an iPod Touch) and then I used iPhone Explorer to back up the settings and high score files individually as well as do a complete backup/sync via iTunes (fortunately I have a tool to extract individual backup items from iTunes backup). I then updated from 1.5.2 to 1.5.3 and played…no problem…played around with a few of the egg levels, and then came back later in the day….EVERY egg and facebook level was either gone or locked except the Halloween ones, which was ironic since on an earlier update, I only lost the Halloween ones…At any rate, I was LIVID! How can Rovio STILL have this happen? I’ve read so many reports of lost eggs it’s not even funny. I then took my backed up files and overwrote them,and all has been well for two days now…so backup IMMEDIATELY before you do an update…but even that is not entirely safe.
Yeah I have iPod touch as well, first time it’s happened though. Got a few other backups from past couple months, guess I’ll try those next. If that doesn’t work I’ll look for some software and try it your way. Thanx for the info ;)
I don’t like the fact that I have to buy the eagle again on the itunes store. It should be a one time buy if I already have it for the original Angry Birds. I mean we get updates for free why not the eagle.
I disagree. It’s a separate app that you purchased separately.
More significantly, Rovio can’t do anything about it as different apps require different In-App purchases in order to abide by Apple’s terms of service. Here’s a tweet on the matter.
A quirky Mighty Eagle seasons “bug”: when you exhaust all your birds or pigs and the Eagle eye pulses, press pause and restart the level. The eye button continues to pulse. Doesn’t really mean anything but haven’t noticed it before.
The only thing I notice that is different is that when you press the eye, it does not take you back to the slingshot like how the regular one does, you have to manually do it
… To be honest I can’t stand the new Mighty Eagle button replacement with the Restart button.
The restart button was making my life so easy rather then my iPhone version (I am talking about the iPad version)

I don’t understand the issue. The Mighty Eagle button is in the exact same place as in AB-original.
I don’t think Rovio will put a third button (except on computer) since space will probably be an issue. Also, I would hate to accidentally hit Restart when going for the Mighty Eagle.

The Mighty Eagle will be coming to Android, but there has been no information on how long. It could be a month, or even a year. Keep an eye on the homepage of Angry Birds Nest, and if any news of the Android Mighty Eagle comes about, you will see it there.
Has anyone managed to get 100% on 2-3? I got 99% once, but a couple of times managed to destroy absolutely everything, but only got 98%. Very frustrating. Guess I’ll skip this level and move on, but I hate to leave one left behind.
Are you talking about 2-3 in Halloween?
I would assume so. Halloween is the only episode of Seasons with multiple chapters.

Yes – 2-3 in Halloween. Dang – I tried at least 50 times and couldn’t get 100%, even when everything was gone. Will come back to it later when I’ve finished (or at least tried to finish) all the other levels, which will take a while.

Halloween 2-3 IS achievable, but it took me a hell of a long time! I managed to get Total Destruction by wiping absolutely everything out. Doesn’t work if things just go off screen and don’t smash.. everyuthing has to be destroyed.
Did anyone’s achievements update? I’m still missing Bunny Hunter, easter eggs score addict still has 34 pts, summer pignic score addict still locked. Aquiline Benefactor did unlock, and I see the moon festival achievements now.

Yes, it is 30 pts on HD. I’m not sure if I can say “now” because I’m not 100% sure it was bugged there to begin with.
Why is the title say coming soon when the mighty eagle works now?
The URL can’t be changed. Also, it says “updated” now to imply that changes have been made.
But normally you write a “coming soon” article first, and then a “xxx is here now” article as well.
True, BirdLeader and I discussed this. We decided not to write a new post with v1.5.2 since (1) the update was glitched and (2) the comments were already being funneled correctly. The same was true for v1.5.3 since it initially seemed glitched and, more importantly, everyone was commenting in the same place already. So instead of breaking up threads and having comments in two different posts, it is actually more convenient to having everything in one post.
There was also the distinct advantage that the “coming soon” article was still the top post on the homepage. That doesn’t typically happen.

Argh, my achievements are still bugged. It kills me, it really kills me. I need the list to be completed.
The only two achievement bugs in Seasons are “Summer Pignic – Score Addict” and “Bunny Hunter”, yeah?

I don’t know. I’ve been playing AB Seasons for a few weeks now, but until yesterday, I haven’t logged into game center once. As soon as I logged in, though, a ton of achievments I’d earned started showing up. Among them was Bunny Hunter. However, the Facebook levels for Go Green, Get Lucky and Hogs and Kisses are still bugged for me.
I need help in Season’s Greedings 1-16.
That’s a hard one. I haven’t managed it yet. We have a forum post up for Seasons ME requests.
I don’t think it is possible to totally destroy Season’s Greedings 1-16. I think there has to be a glitch or something. It is really impossible. If someone somehow beats it, please let me know how.
It’s early yet. If we get to a week or two with no solution, we will contact Rovio. That said, Rovio has already said it is possible.
This is killing me today. I have only managed 94% and been on it all day! I think it must be a bug.

That’s a tough one. I haven’t heard of anyone getting it yet, but Rovio has confirmed it is possible.

I have 91% with 6 wood blocks, 2 ice blocks and 1 snow block left.
I’m at 90. A user in the forum has 97. Granted I haven’t worked on it at all today. Been working on the minimum scores for Mine and Dine 17.
I tried it about 100 times and i have got 95%
I think its the hardest feather in the history of angry birds

Depends. If a Rovio employee has actually obtained the feather, then I’m ok with it. I’m just not convinced that has happened…
I went through and now I have 153 feathers. This is the only one I have left, but I haven’t worked on it since Wednesday. Maybe today I will…

Congratulatioms to Chriss, who worked for 3 days and finally succeeded!!!!Never mind, I misread.I have finished SG-16 with between 3 and 7 various blocks left for which it gave me 88% to 94%. I am sure I got an 88% with 6 blocks left.
As so many players have been playing for hours and hours on this without getting 100% it probably needs a tweak from Rovio whatever they claim about it being possible.
Remember trying to 3 star the original AB Free Level IV-2 before Rovio fixed it anybody? Well I managed to 3 star that in the end (before Rovio’s fix) but I cannot see myself managing this.

Yes, my only feather that is missing is still SG-16. (Chriss is my name in the Forum, Chris is my name here, so I’m the same person).
I think a lot of people will complain about this level, and with a future update it will be easier. If nobody could have 100%, it would not be fun. That’s why I’m not trying any more but waiting for the update.

Rovio employees can only confirm that Mighty Eagle for Android is an ongoing project that is making progress. Nothing more can be said.
Has anyone gotten total destruction in Seasons Greeting 16 or 21? Have been working on 16 all day and everything is gone but two pieces of wood and all I get is 92……..any idea if this is a glitch?
I’m sorry, but it’s not a glitch. You’ll have to get all the blocks on the screen if 2 left is 92%.
Well, that’s actually not true. There are many levels where you don’t have to get all the blocks to receive Total Destruction. If you did, many levels would be flat out impossible.
@Ron We’ve seen a confirmation from Rovio saying that SG 1-16 is possible, but as of yet know one I know has it. The highest percentage I’ve seen is 94%. First I’ve heard about 21 being an issue, but you never know.
I have 100% total destruction in all AB Seasons levels now except Season’s Greedings 1-16. I’ve given up. I think it’s not possible. If someone gets 100% in this level or if the walkthrough video is here, just let me know.

Fuji is working on some walkthroughs for Seasons Mighty Eagle (list here). With the Mine and Dine release, things get delayed. I think we need to be a bit patient. If you are getting 99%, your process is most likely correct. Just need a block or two more.

Yup, that was noted a few days ago. I think we are approaching the “early Chinese release”.
I got 96% on Seasons Greedings 1-16 with 5 wooden blocks left. I also cannot get the feather for 1-21 – did any one get it?
1-16: Ongoing issue. I haven’t heard of anyone earning it. Read more here.
1-21 is indeed possible, although it is on the walkthrough to-do list.
In Game Center on iPhone, there are 14 million players registered. I don’t know how many there are on iPad, but at least 6 million I think. And in addition to that, there are players without Game Center. So all in all there are at least 20 million AB players on iOS devices. If only half of those players purchase Mighty Eagle, Rovio earns 10 million dollars!
Less than that. First, Apple receives income for hosting the platform. Next, Chillingo is still the official publisher of Angry Birds (original). But yes, this allows Rovio to make significant income to hire more devs, which is good for gamers. I’m willing to invest $3.96 towards that end (ABo &Seasons, iPhone and iPad).
The Moon Festival Achievements are no longer visible in my Game Center.
Will there be no Summer Pignic update for AB Seasons free? Summer is over now. In 3 days it’ll be September, and they still show the Easter icon.

I got ab and ab season all eagle but the one I can’t get is 1-16 greedings. It’s too hard. 95% is my best score. :(

did all of easter, st val’s, st patrick’s, halloween and summer. On the other hand, xmas season is a pain and I can only do 9 out of 25 :o The floating snow/clouds are a pain! Any tips pls? Cheers!

The update never actually went through. Ovi’s webpage updated with new information and new images, but the in-game prompt (how Symbian updates) never appeared. In fact, the Seasons webpage on OviStore has been taken down.
