BTW, someone on Facebook just asked when the next AB Space update (comments on the Amazing Alex trailer) will arrive and Rovio replied “Sooner than you think. ;)” Maybe later today? :)
I don’t think quite THAT soon, but ya never know with Rovio. Haven’t seen GameCenter’s logo update yet, though.
Does anyone have a believe in that Angry Birds Facebook Pigini Beach land on AB Original (Android,iOS) like Surf and Turf?
Rovio do a mistake again? On ABR, symbian platform showing “There is a newer
version available!”, but i tounh “download” it show “Access declined”.

So I have a nokia G3, why have rovio the released Angry Birds Seasons Piglantis. all androids(4g) received the free versio. So why can’t g3’s get these ????
You would have to contact Rovio. We are not aware of any update plans for particular platforms.

It seems that ABR v1.4.4 with Trophy Room has just appered for symbian devices. I can see new update is available while using in-game update, however I have some problems with downloading update file:( Update is not yet listed in Nokia store.
Maybe someone has more luck…

Unfortunately there is no update available. There is a small error in some Symbian versions of Angry Birds Rio and this error leads to a false notification for an update that does not exist. We are investigating this issue to find out what might be causing it. My apologies for the inconvenience.

Okay. I’m really really disappointed about powerups. This made 0 difference between ABO s&t and ABF s&t.
So, i have a suggestion for all the admins @amslimfordy @birdleader @sal9 , it’ll be better if ABO s&t level leaderboard are done without powerups. I mean, the players of abo s&t MUST NOT USE powerup for scoring. The powerup scores must be entered in ABF leaderboard, and nonpowerup score of ABO in abo leaderboard. Did i make it clear?

What a shame power ups are creeping into the original series. Expect the leaderboards blown wide open. I’d imagine the FB games have been a great money spinner. I cant blame Rovio, personally I use power ups to compete on scores. I was however looking forward to playing power up free when I get a platform sorted out.
in short-All Powerup score must keep confined to ABF leaderboard only, even though this ABO update have powerup.
But that would be almost impossible to track.

@Lamia Are the games exactly the same though? Ive read there are small differences between platforms/Facebook etc. Surely playing on another device but entering on FB scores might be a disadvantage 1 way or another?

While I’m not happy that Rovio decided to include Power-Up to the Original I guess we can look at it like “What is fair for one is fair for another.” I mean it will be a whole new way for us non FaceBook players to stratigize how and when we will use them to get the best scores, but I suppose it’s up to each player to decide how he/she will choose when and where to use the Power-Ups. I’m sure the FB players have this all down.
I do wish that we would be limited to ONLY the first 15 free power-ups in the bundle that came with the update. Do we know if we are able to purchase additional Power-Ups? I hope not because then it would just be endless. I mean if everybody is alloted the same 15 free that came with update, it might be wise to play each level WITH OUT using them first to see where we need work and where score improvements are needed. Then go back and decide where and when to use the limited 15 power-ups to try and increase our scores. This way everyone has the same chance of choosing wisely.
Oh No!!! I did not realize the Power-ups were included in ALL of ABO..I thought it was just tied to the new 15 Surf ‘N Turf levels!!! Oh dear..That’s not good ;-(

Re S&T new levels – the whole thing sounds bizarre. Why on earth have they introduced powers half way through a game? The 1st 15 levels of ABO Surf and Turf don’t have power ups and now am I correct in assuming the next 2 groups of levels will have power ups?
If this is the case then I would want Surf and Turf placed in its own section and not be part of the ABO overall Leaderboard at all. I know the current overall includes the first 15 levels but personally I wouldn’t have a problem if they were removed and put into their own section. I know this will change the ranks but at least it will put it all on an even playing field – sort of. (I still don’t trust all the scores on Poached Eggs and Mighty Hoax despite the “Facebook” user block because not everyone declares their device and sadly people lie.) This is not a criticism of the system/BL’s wonderful creation; it is simply the result of Rovio’s actions.
Good luck sorting this one out Slim and BirdLeader. I think there will be a lot of unhappy campers in the nest over this one and it’s not even your fault. :(
Unfortunately, power ups are usable on every episode. Like I said earlier, let’s wait and see what comes out of all this. BL and slim will be discussing this very thoroughly.
I just read the above posts (& @sal9 post) re power ups being for the whole lot. You’re kidding – nooo please nooo. If they apply powerups to all levels then I’ve just played ABO for 6 months for nothing. I took great pleasure in working my way up the leaderboard and now every level will need to be played again. I’m seriously going to have to rethink whether I want to play this anymore – so sad :( I would not have bought the games if for a second I thought I’d have to pay more money along the way – sorry the whole thing starts to smack of greed to me. What a sad day. Please tell me it’s not true.

Oh God, no. My biggest fear has just become real :( Suddenly I feel like I’ve lost all interest in Angry Birds, especially in the leaderboards. I don’t want to participate in the “who’s got more money contest”.

Quick question: Will the use of Power Ups taint my scores? I just downloaded the latest update of Surf and Turf — next 15 levels — and found that it included free Power Ups. I imagine that these allow one to have increased effects and higher scores but that raises the question of how to fairly compare scoring on the Leaderboard. I’d just as soon play without any enhanced powers and judge myself with the rest of the community on a level playing field. Any policy in place? Thanms in advance, Jim

Hi @amslimfordy, in light of this enquiry, I would like to suggest a freezing of the ABO Leaderboards until you and BL decide what you are going to do. If powerup scores are added they will destroy the boards.
Space for mac is available v 1.2.2 ( Utopia + Egg levels )

Had recently updated AB & AB Space from Amazon App Store. Like some others, I lost all of my progress. However, I liked having the Space Eagle… But, I was unable to reload (in-app purchase) any more (Error in Amazon). There was an update today, and once again, my progress went away, and so did the Eagles… My question is; what was the point of the updates, other than a couple of new levels…
You should contact Amazon about losing those Space Eagles. Unfortunately, since Space Eagles are a “consumable” in-app purchase, they don’t restore upon reinstall.
I forgot that Eagles were not available till you completed a certain number of levels. I’ll slog my way through the lower levels again and see what happens…

My comment Is about the latest version of Angry Birds Seasons (Piglantis) for the BlackBerry PlayBook. Why does this website state that version 2.4.1 has been available since 6/25/12 but we have yet to see it in App World?

Just wanted everyone who has a BlackBerry PlayBook to know that 2.5.0 for Angry Birds Seasons has made it to the App World. And has came with (Piglantis) And also (Back to School). Thnx Rovio for supporting us. And keep up the great work. O one other thing. The icon in App World has the piglantis picture. But when you download it it comes up as the back to school icon very weird Thnx again.
