Have Rovio given up on PC updates,I prefer playing the games on my PC,rather than Android tablets,does this make me prehistoric? ;)

well, in 2012 time, it used to take 2-3 days for update to land on PC after landing on iOS, but now seems Rovio is not giving PC platform the same importance as 2012 time
@lamia You are right BUT I thought AB Seasons V3.2 update will not come to PC as this update includes only power-ups & PC does not support power-ups. This happened same in AB Rio v1.5 (latest is v1.6) when there was only PUs in v1.5 and rovio not released it on PC.

@lamia Okay I see the update log and I understand what you say. Rovio does not give importance to PC for fast updates. I know why, most of the Rovio games are more playing on iOS & Android than PC or Mac. This is the reason Rovio is not serious in updating their games quickly.
I was able to update my Nook today to v 1.1.2 which now includes Hoth levels 21-40. I’m not sure what else might be different (bug fixes perhaps). I check pretty frequently, so this must be withing the past day or two. Unfortunately, still missing Path of the Jedi and many other updates for Original, Rio, Space and Seasons….I hate my Nook.
I’m disappointed in my Nook Color, too. It’s just the right size for enjoying all the Angry Birds apps, but the updates are not forthcoming. I’d be willing to pay for the updates…just want to play!

I know that this has already been mentioned here and elsewhere, but nonetheless I feel the need to express my feelings on the matter.
If we PC users are paying for the games just like everyone else, and actually at higher prices, then why are we always the last to receive updates or in some cases not receive them at all.
Rovio needs to rethink their updating strategy and release the updates for all platforms alike if they want to keep the PC and Mac customers happy instead of crappy.
As far as the Power ups and Mighty Eagle are concerned, I have no problem whatsoever with their not being included for PC users, this way we can’t be accused of posting PU scores on the Leaderboards, something that has become apparently rampant with newer members of ABN using compatible platforms.

Prices are based on the graphics quality, of which PC/Mac is undoubtedly the highest. Rovio has stated that they try to release episodic updates for PC within a week or so of the general release.
ABo: Has been 8 days
ABR: Under a week
ABS: Not an episodic update
ABSp: Not an episodic update
I haven’t complained about the “Prices”, and yes, undoubtedly PC/Mac graphics are of the highest possible quality. The point I’m trying to impart here is that all updates should be released at the same time for all platforms regardless of build time, plain and simple.

ABO v 3.0.0 is on sale at the Barnes and Noble website for the Nook. The version on my nook is only 2.3.0. I check for updates almost every day. Can anyone offer some insight? Do I now have to purchase updates? That would suck….
You shouldn’t have to pay anything. AB updates are free.
I left a post on the B&N FB page. They advised me to archive ABO and then un-archive. I was skeptical and thought I might lose my scores. I did it anyway since all of my scores are logged at ABN (and in my own Excel spreadsheet). I was right. Scores are gone, and I still have 2.3.0. I await a response from B&N. Anyone out there with a Nook have an update to 3.0.0? Or are you still on 2.3.0 as well?
The reason you don’t have v3.0.0 is because Nook hasn’t updated to that version yet. They’re notoriously behind the times with their updates. I’m still waiting for the second page of Birdday party and the remaining levels of Bad Piggies. Haven’t received the Rio update yet either and there is a chance that we won’t ever see the extra level update on Seasons because we don’t have the mighty eagle…one could hope though.

Thanks. I saw 3.0.0 for sale on the B&N website, but maybe that was for other platforms. I’m not sure who to lob the most blame at; B&N or Rovio. Rovio seems more interested in putting out new games rapid fire than supporting their existing games. Of course the obvious answer is that there is more money in new games instead of games that they already sold.
When I click on view details it says v3.0.0, but in the credits it says v2.3.0. I think it has more to do with Barnes and Noble and less with Rovio, but I can’t say that with 100% certainty. I wish the updates were closer to ios releases. If I’m not mistaken, Nook is a form of Android, so updates closer to Android would be nice.

I see that mine says 3.0.0 in details too. (2.3.0 in credits where I had been looking) Yes, Nook is a form of android, but we must update through B&N….bummer. Let’s see how long it takes for 3.1.0 to reach Nook….

Our attention was shifted for a massive Leaderboard and administrative update. Actually, a pretty big update to this system is near the top of the to-do list.
Mac Appstore received two updates: Rio Market Mayhem (Episode and bonus) and Seasons bonus levels (+ WW new years egg fixed)
Still no Game Center support or IAP support for Mighty Eagle.
@Sal9 Log and posts are updated. Just need a little more info from you.
(1) Rio: I assume there are only 3 bonus levels per episode, as there is no Mighty Eagle?

I just hit “check for updates” on my Nook Tablet (falls under Nook Color in ABN I guess) and guess what? It’s supposedly downloading updates for Original, Seasons, Rio and Space as I write this. I don’t know what happened at Rovio, and I’m not yet convinced that we Nook users are really going to actually get updates. I’ll post a follow-up if this is for real. Fingers crossed…..

@truckdriver Hahaha yep, our Queen is stepping down after 32 years and her son is taking over. Quiet a happening in our country and the 30th of April is usually celebrated as “queensday” and as of next year it will be kingsday… The whole country turns orange (national color) and lots of festivities where even the royals go and visit two cities and participate in the fun and games :)

I know the Nook is not a “priority” device, but yesterday my wife said “Are there any updates for Angry Birds, I need to kill some piggies”. I checked and ABo, Rio and Seasons all had updates available.

She plays on the Nook to complete the levels. Then I go back and 3 star, find Golden Eggs, Hidden fruit, etc for her.

Just downloaded AB:Star Wars because “I want the Chewie bird”.
@amslimfordy, the version of Star wars for the Nook Color is 1.1.3. Sorry, no idea when that came out but it has:
Tatooine, Death Star, Hoth and a Coming Soon over Cloud City. It does NOT have Path of the Jedi not Boba Fett missions. It also does not have any IAP abilitys (yet, but not sure it will ever)
If it gets any updates for these 4 versions, I’ll try to let you know.
@Sparty83 — Don’t you think it’s time she joined ABN and became a little more addicted? Maybe you should encourage her to watch some of the walkthroughs and 3* a level herself, etc. Well, she can start without becoming a member, but then she’ll miss a lot of the fun. Have you given her a guided tour of ABN yet?

She is familiar with the nest. I have shown her around it a bit. She even got a good laugh out of the AB Anonymous thread.
She just likes to play to complete a level. She doesn’t care about her scores or 3 starring levels. (I know, she is a heretic) But that’s ok with me.
If she had my addiction, then nothing would get done around the house.

Could you please tell me if there is a date for the update on Angry Birds Star Wars for “Cloud City” on Kindle devices? Thank you for your time.
We do not control the date of update releases for any devices.
tried to download pc update for Seasons and it didn’t work. I uninstalled it and re-downloaded it, but it still didn’t work; only changed the start screen. I purchased the original version.
It does work, just look for the new Seasons icon on your desktop and double click it. Then go to Season 3 and on both WW & HH you’ll find 3 bonus levels on each one for a total of 6 new levels.
I want to make a suggestion about the updates table. When a single update is available at the same time for multiple platforms it would be a good idea to have separate records for each platform. In that way you can use the “Short by platform” button on the top of the Platform column to see ALL the updates of a particular platform all together.
We have something planned like this. Should be available soon stay tuned.
General question regarding finding the comments that are emailed to me. As an example I just received an email today the 16th of April, that has a link to this page (8), and comment number (577977) but after clicking on the link I can’t find the comment. Where are the corresponding numbers for the comments? In fact the last comment I see on page 8 was given on the 13th. Sorry, just confused.

The only way to see the comment number is to click on the timestamp for a given comment.
If the direct link doesn’t redirect you specifically to the comment, it may have been removed.
Thanks Slim for your answer about comment numbers. As far as not finding the comment I had thought about it being removed, but since I had just received it this AM I felt that was not likely.

Ok, must be doing something wrong. I’m clicking on your stamp for this reply which I assume is the “Apr 16, ’13 at 3:46pm” one, and the only thing that happens is the page advances. I don’t see any numbers. Is there another timestamp?

Not sure what you mean by “the page advances”. Check the URL in the address bar.
When I click the date/time stamp nothing else appears, but the page jumps down a bit. Like what happens when you hit “enter” at the end of a sentence and it advances to the next line. That type of action.
@barbbjb, you need to copy and paste the time stamp to your browser’s address bar at the top then hit enter and that should take you to the comment.

Nook Users: Does any one know if the Mighty Eagle is still available in the Barnes & Noble stores via their wifi? I tried the other day and couldn’t find it. I haven’t really cared about using it until these new Seasons Bonus levels became available to Nook. Some of them require 10 feathers in order to unlock them. It would be unfortunate if the Mighty Eagle is no longer available.
I’m not sure, it’s been quite some time since I tried it. If the B&N you usually go to doesn’t have ME on wifi anymore, perhaps others might, that is if you have another store within a reasonable distance. It might be worth a bit of time to work the phones. You might end up being surprised.
Other than that, you might query the Nook app store to see if they worked out some IAP mechanism with Rovio.
I thought that was only for ABo, not other versions. I could be mistaken though.

Now it seems correct. But yesterday it said that “Error, please try again”.
May have been an issue on your end. We haven’t been experiencing any issues to my knowledge.
