  • Anything by Bowie is Awesome! @HunnyBunny will agree 10 fold
  • I need to know the rules? The rhyme must be a city, country name?
  • I know I'm a pita about rules, I just need to know what I'm playing ;/
  • Again that crown suits you @brianN I'm gonna ask OB to send it out and have it engraved lol
And the Fez is getting quite comfy on my head:)

  • A bit scary, that one.

Rotterham (or anywhere) - Beautiful South.

Does the bit in brackets cover every single place in the world? If so, job done.
  • Go slowly by Radiohead.

Can you spot the capital city?
  • Not going well in the Challenge today. Might have to turn the phone upside down.
  • Less rules than France. We're going for European cities in song titles. But who's gonna stop ya throwing in Night boat to Cairo by Madness? Or Marrakesh express? Bands and artists too:
    Florence and the machine
    Turin Brakes
    Thom York(e)

This is actually bout NYC, but a great tune...

Rotterham, is that one of the zones in angry birds 2?Glad Norway gets a Lookin, didn't want to go down the Trondheim fish Slapping song route.
  • I love Paris in the spring time
    Mica Paris
    Michael Bolton
I'll throw you in a river with this next one... er maybe I should rephrase that?
    Terence Trent Derby.
Crimea River. Justin Timber wolf. (not sure if that's a town or just a territory
  • Didn't the brackets show up @kathy?
  • Terrance Trent Derby

Named after an Angry Bird, a river near to the place I live, and the place I live.

  • @DesperateDan, um Iowa? I think you might have me confused with someone else who's from the Buckeye State. LOL

Sorry, @kathy. I didn't know the rules of the game. There are plenty of songs that have been recorded about Wyoming or different parts of the state, as I guess you discovered one about Cheyenne.
  • Need some British towns.
Going down to Liverpool - The Bangles.
The lyric goes "Hey there, where are you going with that UB40 in your hand?" This seemed to go down well in the States where it was assumed that a UB40 must be a firearm and not, as is actually the case, an unemployment form.
    Oxford Comma - Vampire Weekend
    Er...that's it.
  • @sweetp, not confused, just apologising for taking the rip out of State songs when of course, many of them may be very dear to the natives of those places.
  • It is absolutely true that the British do not have such a romantic idea about the names of British towns and cities when it comes to popular songs. American place names, many of them, seem to have far more of a poetic quality about them that sit well in many genres of music. Somehow Huddersfield, Scunthorpe and Barnsley don't cut the mustard. I think British place-names are far more often used for comedic effect.
  • Belinda Carlisle.
    Kings of Leon.
  • Luton Airport. Lorraine Chase. (ashamed at remembering that one)
  • Here's proof of the brains ability to calculate an infinite number of possible angles in a split second and command the body to execute.
    https://youtu.be/RIxc8RdLKtQ
    A thing of beauty.
  • Berlin, Take my Breath Away
Portugal the Man, @Kathy they really are a group
George Ezra also did a song called Barcelona, but totally different from the Freddie one
    The Dubliners and Irish Rovers
    Mill of Kintyre...
  • @Kathy I did NOT refuse to cook for you, I do a beautiful leek and potato soup, with toasted bread with caramelised apples and cheese, which I’m sure I could persuade you eat and enjoy
  • And yesterday’s Shepherd’s Pie, basically very tasty meat and potatoes
  • Sorry @HunnyBunny you actually Did Not refuse to cook for me, I know you would it I asked you to :) and I'm absolutely sure your cooking is delicious!
@DesperateDan by brackets do you mean parenthesis? ( )
    These are brackets [ ] or these { }
  • Speaking of brackets... (I don't want to go to) Chelsea - Elvis Costello.

(You gotta) fight for your right (to party) (Beastie Boys)
  • Thin. Ice.

    Just saying.
  • @kathy or me? All I heard was that while the lamb byriani was still bleating the shepherd's pie tried to round it up into a pen.
  • I know you're a fan of those overblown state anthems @desperatedan. Here's how we Brits do it. No professional actors were harmed in the making of this video.

  • Couldn't get to yesterday's Challenge so I rummaged around Poached Eggs. On fire! No fewer than 5 personal best scores. Life in the old dog yet.
  • You gotta be worried when ur poached eggs r on fire.
  • Nice Flinging @DesperateDan ! New invention Fiery Placed Eggs?
  • Watching the best car chase ever

  • I love the one at the end of the Blues Brothers.

    Let's Gdansk (Bowie)
    Goodnite all.
  • Oh and meant to say, I see your Billericay Dickie and raise you a Kilburn and the Highroads.
  • How Der Kaiser does it idk. Pulling off those 2 shots one after the other and all before breakfast. He must have the Puppytronic 5000(comes with premium version of bluestacks). Or maybe he has a team of elves working for him? Makes sense when you think about it, they get December off for AOB, as no puppies are awarded.

Notice you're 3rd on the all time list @desperatedan. Tempted to try and beat it, or are you still playing with your poached eggs? Tried for 1/2 hour this morn, only executed shots together once(eggzact release point required for Matilda). Sadly one pig was left, crushed but not popped, would still only have been 67k.
