What is the dreamcatcher
-
I joined just to put in this:
My creatures also lowered in level. (sad!)
I had a max Giralephant and now it is is 4 1/3.
Even if they weren't put near a decoration they were lowered.
Did they change the amount of soup needed also?
My whale didn't change level; it is still maxed.
-
My croods just updated and mine were all at the same level. I am level 18 and the quest. Is. Already for the zeaver how did everyone get to 21wiithout doing the zeaver
-
I have to have 10000 more just to update the fish cat. And then 32400 for the zeaver.it is getting boring waiting for everything
-
My animal levels also went down, why did that happen? but liking the bonus decorations! its been quite a challenge trying to get some of my three creatures around all 3 bonuses. The plots of land are looking quite busy now.
-
Think i got the zeaver when i was on level 20
-
I think I know why they made the levels go down:
The soups have been changed!
Example:
Giralephant (from 3,6,9,12)
Now Soups Needed:
Level 1 - 4
Level 2 - 8
Level 3 - 12
Level 4 - 16
The Ablatroceros went from (4,8,12,16) to (5,10,15,20)
Crocopup look liked it stayed the same (multiples of 6).
(although my crocopup dropped in level I think)
Sharkodile went from multiples of 7 to 8.
Fish cat is now up to multiples of 9. -
cheers iQuark ;-) i wish there was some kind of warning though about changes? it gets confusing, i can't imagine how younger kids cope
-
Thanks for the number iQuark and also for pointing out that reduction in levels is not tied to production boosting structures. It sucks that even though the souping has changed, animals that have already been levelled up should stay at that level and new creatures are affected by it.
-
Will there be other task. Besides the deafer so I can get to level. 20 right now I am feeding my croups so I can have 4 I have built all the homes and am feeding the third one
-
Is it a good idea to get the bear owl?
-
No. Save for land whale if you must - or evolve berries (though they're supposed to auto evolve from 24 to 38 at around lvl 14-16)
-
Wait til you get to the Zeaver home. It takes 2 weeks to complete. So have we decided which is better--evolve the home or level up the animal?
-
Definitely leveling up the animal is better than evolving the home. And even better: get a second home/animal. Parallelism beats all leveling ups.
-
Thanks teo. I've been doing a little of both and have multiples of most animals. The Zeaver has held me up for days on end. I learned to start the homes before trapping the animals, but my Zeaver has been tame for quite some time and the home is still in progress. I'm on level 18 and its been really slow going.
-
@teogeo I agree that parallelism trumps evolving and leveling up which is why I do think it makes sense for it to cost more to evolve a Zeaver or other animal than it does to get another one.
-
Let me excuse myself for a second. GGGGGGRRRRRAAAAAAAAÆAAAARRRRDDDDGGGGGHHHHHPPPPHHHHTTWWWWAAAAA!
I already got one. -
I don't think the berries auto evolve? I was at 24 berries until level 20. Can anyone else confirm?
-
oh about the soups and what not, if your pet dropped in level, they are not on fractions of 1/3. So when I thought I was at level 2 and 2/3, I fed my shark some soup and it level to level 3 and a bit.
-
My berry bush didnt auto evolve till lvl 19 and that was defo through an update.
-
Does anybody have a group plan? Mine are sectioned into groups and goes like this.....
My 2 bunnies that produce rocks get sold for soup, they get fed by 1 bear.
3 giralephants (that feed my 3 crocs) gets fed by 2 bears ( the bears also feed 1 more).
1 bear that sells carrots for soup
1 giralephant ( which feeds 2 albatroceroses) and a bear works all day to make sure i have enough for morning which is great for low stock.
2 albatroceros feathers gets sold for soup
3 sharkodiles
3 fish cat
1 zeaver for now.
All my animals are surrounded by their boosting decos and are all sectioned off via fences and more decos.
how sad am i lol
ps im saving my rewards for the next update as im now at lvl 21, which has made gran very angry cos she keeps jumping up and down =-O
-
only 1 of my berry bushes is maxed cos i refuse to give 200 crystals just for 12 extra berries.
-
The new update has a new feature. When speeding things up with crystals you now have to confirm if you want to do that.
-
I've got to say I'm still very frustrated with lack of iOS update. The Croods got me into these types of games and I just recently started playing Hay Day. Croods needs some work. It just feels so repetitive.
I have both berry trees maxed which gives me 50 & 50 berries each time I return to the game. I'm just trying to get soup these days to upgrade my animals but its so boring now. 100 berries each time doesn't even fill up all my molar bears. Then the 50 carrots I get don't even come close to filling up my Girelephants. I feel like I spend so much time and effort getting all of each animal and now there is no use for them considering you can never fill them all up because the berries don't grow fast enough. -
I have almost 34200. The task I have now are evolve the fishcat., trap. A zeaver, or build a.zeaver home which is the best to do?
-
because the zeaver takes 7 days to build i would do that 1st then evolve fish cat home then trap zeaver 3 days before homes built
-
The dreamcatcher boosts the zeaver.
-
Does anybody know which creature the krispy bear boosts
-
wildovile@ the krispy bear boosts the landwhale with 5%
-
When playing the croods, I´m on level 19, I built my second Fish Cat
trap and I tried to trap him. After 10 times of failing he didn´t even come
back to the trap again. Now I have a trap there and no Fish Cat is ever
going there. I tried boosting it with luck, but it did not help. What
should I do?
Now the same thing happened with my Zeaver trap. -
The issue with creatures losing levels has been partially if not completely fixed. All of my girelaphants are back to level 5 this morning, however a video ad pops up each time the game is loaded :(
-
@lostgreybird I agree, I'm max'd at 21 it's getting old. I tend to return the game every once in awhile to gather berries until they are maxed in the cave (not filling up the Molarbears yet), then return again when I know the bushes will be max'd again. That gives me 250 berries to work with and keeps my interaction to a minimum. I fill everything up, make some soups if I feel like it, otherwise just fill everything up as much as I can from what 250 berries yields down the line. Rinse repeat.
I'm still waiting for a confirmation dialog on crystal use. I've lost another 50 or so since my last post about this issue. IMHO the crystal costs for speeding up production are insane. I can't imagine anyone would use them on purpose to fill up a creature.
Question: Anyone have a list of which decorations cause increase production on which animals?
Edit: @Bad piggies thanks for that information! Im on iOS and haven't gotten indication of an update, but awesome to know a crystal-confirmation is coming! -
Hello all, firstly thanks to lostgreybird and everyone else who has posted all this useful info. Wish I had found it sooner, as I made similar mistakes to everyone else! I'm playing on I pad and am at level 21 getting excited at what was under the stone so disappointed by your news grey bird. I'm interested that we have someone on the forum who obviously has inside information (mihaitza) and that one of their posts has been removed, as it gave too much away? I've never played these games before, so a complete beginner, and am only doing so now because I have MND and am more or less paralysed. Just hope they bring out the next level while I can still type with the one finger that still works, it's been an alternative to antidepressants for me, so involving I can forget being ill for a while. Couple of questions, I don't seem to be able to find any reference in the game to placing specific things to improve productivity.
Also has anyone found out the answer to the Xp dilemma with rewards at level 21? It's very tempting to cash in on the forklift, the last payment isn't 3000 like the others, it's 30,000, I've
only just noticed. Anyway, just wanted to thank you all for making me feel 'not such a geek' for getting hooked, and for all the advice. And please Rovio, can we have some news? -
@Bad piggies I've never experienced a creature not going to the trap eventually. Sometimes it takes an abysmally long time for the trap to catch them, but they always go to it eventually. So that sounds like a bug, and I don't know what to suggest other than destroying the trap and setting a new one. :/

@Woozle -- Welcome to the Nest! Glad you are enjoying it.
Sorry to hear about your disability, but you seem to be doing a lot with 1 finger. Have you considered playing the Angry Birds game themselves? You might be able to do it, and for sure you will become addicted and spend many enjoyable / frustrating hours playing them. You might also be interested in stopping by the Bloated Pig Forum for some conversation. Everyone is really friendly, although the past few days it's been fairly quiet because we're all waiting for an update. -
@Woozle AFAIK Completing the forklift does not provide XP but just gives gold so when I will have 50 sticks (in 5 days by my math), I'll cash in on that. However I have a list of granny chores that I completed but have not cashed in on as XP is not being visibly doled out in LvL 21 so once progress in LvL 21 begins, I'll cash in on all of them.
-
Well the update for iOS will come in the next few days, just be patient. It's by design due to different platforms and review cycles. And there you'll have the updated version with which decoration boosts which creature.
As for trapping the animals: some can take very long, eg. I think I was trapping one zeaver for about 45 minutes of constant tapping, but I was waiting for some thing to complete so it wasn't a big deal. Otherwise I find the game amazingly boring, because it's really repetitive - tap, tap, tap, and pass food upwards on the food chain. Infrequent quests, 10 min. max production cycle (for 2x 200 crystals, thank you :P ) and no real thinking or strategy needed...
I don't think mihaitza gave anything away - personally I find it hard to believe Rovio's test team would slip out on something that trivial ;-) -
Thank you to lostgreybird and others. I have some info for the missing production times/levels. Time is in hour:minute:second.

Also for those just starting
* You do not have to spend crystals in the opening tutorial, you can just wait.
* Start building the home BEFORE you build the trap and try to tame
* If you play constantly, level the animals for faster production
* If you plan to check in once or twice a day (good luck) evolve the homes
* Don't evolve the cave unless you need a certain number of item that cannot be achieved with a smaller cave.
* Make as much soup as you can while it just cost berries and carrots (cheap to make and quick to earn).
* Save coins, you will need them later.
I would like a list of Gran's chores so I can make good choices before I level up.
* I have been burned by leveling up just to find the next chore was "tame a bunny beast" after I already built 3 (more than I needed at the time).
I would also like a chart on totems & production. I would have one myself but I am on iOS.

@mvlna2. Thank you, that's very kind, will do.
@Alexander. I might just be being dense here, but I'm worried that if I give all this hard earned stuff, sticks, mud and fish, to Grug without running it past Granny it will just be taken by the forklift project and then I'll have to save it all up again for Granny to get the rewards. Get the rewards first, you still have the stuff for Grug because Granny doesn't take it away, but you potentially lose the Xp if its not being secretly counted by some hidden Rovio device. (I'm now starting to imagine all these paranoid Croods players hanging on to everything while Granny jumps up and down saying " finish the game you idiots!" I also have about 5 days to go to get enough sticks unless my Zeaver dies of exhaustion first..... -
Hi all, A couple tips and couple questions...
@corvette mentioned "tap tap tap" ...for those that might not know, you can touch and hold for a faster load. 24 berries to a MB takes under 3 seconds. (beats 24 taps!)
For those starting, follow the Quests. I have one and a half to go and in hind sight their progression sort of made sense.
Unless you really one need one, don't add animals unless asked by a quest because most of the time a future quest will be to own a certain number of animals, and sure enough that number tends to work well a little later in the game.
When making soup, I avoid the two-item recipes. Often you'll need something like "18 carrots and 11 leaves for 186 coins." On those I just hit recycle and wait 4 mintues because often you can get a recipe that's just carrots or leaves by themselves. The coin math always works out exactly the same but you end up with twice as many soups.
As for my questions...
Does anyone know exactly how long it takes for soup to expire and dissapear from the cave? And do they expire one at a time, 3 at a time or all at once? Out of paranoia I tend to make soups with a task in mind so that when i use them i'm left with zero each time.
Lastly, is there someplace in the game that shows how many XP point I have? They seem rather irrelevant since Quests drive most of the points, but I'm curious how many I have.
Thanks everyone for a great forum! -
@Jet How do I destroy a trap?
-
@abirdnerd thanks for the soup tip it makes sense, and thanks for the tap tip cos i was doing the morse code to lol
@bad piggies i dont think the trap can be destroyed till you have caught the creature -
The soups don't expire.
Well of course you can fill up with animals with holding the finger, but for collecting the goods you must tap ;) So it's VERY repetitive, like Skinner's rats in the lab. Check back again in 10 mins when your berries are maxed to 50. Rinse. Repeat. -
Whale maxed out gives 1000 coins at 1 coin per 14 seconds. So the whole capacity lasts for about 4 hours, gives 6k/day if you can feed him constantly.
The 4th level was 1 coin per 16 seconds, don't remember the lower ones. -
Since my The Croods fiasco I wasn't interested in playing that sort of games until yesterday I started to play Snoopy Street Fair. I know it is childish, game targets young players, age 6-10, but I like it's charm and I am The Peanuts fan, so I can recommend game.
Sorry for interrupting The Croods related discussion. -
@cosmo2503 play Hay Day it's the most popular of these types of games on mobile. I've been playing since I beat The Croods and its great. If you my GC friend I can help you with your tasks and you can buy my goods if I sell them at my street market. I haven't spent a dime yet and still having fun
-
Um, I think maybe soup seems to disappear because you don't realise the multiples it takes to feed things, I've emptied a whole cave of soup just doing one level up! Also, three trades with Ugga only makes one bowl so it's poor return.
-
@lostgreybird thanks. I saw screenshots, it is really cute, design and graphics are so appealing, I might download it.
-
Hello everyone - i was at level 20, did all the quests from Grug and all of a sudden everything that i had built just vanished and i was back at level 1. I didn't bother to register on Rovio site because i played only on my iPhone. Does any one know what i should do to be back to level 20 again with all the achievements i made? thanks eveyone
