Yes, I knew @kathy had made 33048 comments according to her avatar. I was assuming that was just for the BP and that @ixan57 was counting other ones as challenged by @brianN. But perhaps 33048 is the grand total and @ixan57's number is just BP (do concentrate at the back). So maybe we have learned something, maybe we haven't. I don't fancy going through all the walkthroughs, there are about as many comments there as for the BP.

I was horrified to see how low QoS had sunk. Should have been axed when Sue Barker left, buried in the Blue Peter garden* and had a curse put on it.
*I don't suppose this actually exists any more.

I have bitten off the big one. All rebooted Dr Who episodes in order (i.e. Eccleston onwards). I'm one episode into Tennant. On re-watching I have reappraised Eccleston - mainly brilliant scripts and good acting. Why did they get terrible actors in recent series?
I think there must be getting on for 150 to watch. Gulp.
(I could have started with Hartnell but the shaky special effects do get tedious pretty quickly). -
Wow, on page 9 of the BP, @rdnzlrips82 expresses shock at having got to so many pages.
-
You know when I said be careful about poking avatars? I just poked yours Dan and apparently you're on vacation in Rio.
-
So am I! Gulp.
-
Must admit I gave up on Queen of South years ago.
-
I would be amazed if our Princess didn't make near double 33k comments in total. I suppos3 one way to determine whether avatar number refers only to BP comments would be to press avatar for self, note number then comment elsewhere and recheck number. Once Rio situation solved obviously.

Regarding the count there is a big difference. Wonder where that arose. I did not count posts with no text and there are a few of them, some with quite a few in a row but still seems quite a margin.
-
I have been researching if for example page 6 and select Mikkor avatar as a example select the 56 comments and you will see the total includes posts in other areas of the nest. That would explain the difference of 4000ish.
You will see mikkor made 40 comments in the BP and 16 comments elsewhere. -
You've cracked it Sherlock!
I think 28k on BP at 9 a page and about 1 a page on the walkthroughs (with a bias towards ABO) sounds about right giving 33k. Sigh. We could have got there in 10 seconds.
BTW, I have been on vacation in Rio for about a year now. Not bad. Spend most of my time trying to avoid @brianN.
In the back of my mind I think someone else might be quite close to @kathy, can't remember who. @ixan57, just knock up a top 10 list, will you. Thanks.
Might be getting comments and points mixed up. -
As I may have said before, Queen of the South are the only football team named in the Bible (Luke 11,31). Think they lost 3-0 to the Philistines.
-
Elementary my dear @DesperateDan
-
Whew, that was some T20 international. Salt is worth his...er...salt.
-
Not seen the game but saw Brook stats 31*(7)...talk about game winning cameos.
Must admit thought the Princess would've made more than 5k comments in the walk through pages especially when you consider the exchanges between her and Kimmie when they did their Chuckle Brother impersonation notching up double digits in no time. However they're the levels my mind is drawn to it doesn't take into account the many levels Kathy didn't comment on. So I concur @ixan57 and our resident statistician @desperatedan aka Statto.
Caveat--there are over 4,000 levels in the flinging games. -
Just watched a really good movie called The Killer(Netflix). David Fincher and Michael Fassbender in good form. Brucie Bonus our antihero( Fassbender's assassin) plays a Smiths mixtape all the way through. (Bet Morrisey is livid, Meat is Murder and all that).
-
Hey @ixan57 word to the wise, don't go anywhere near the Reichenbach Falls.
Also regards aforementioned film MF has a bit of fun using the names of tv characters as aliases, see if you can get them all. (I missed out on one.) -
Must admit England's white ball cricket of late has been like Dan's opening gambit in Wordle but chasing down 222 in T20 is impressive, hopefully they've turned a corner. My worry is that their poor form translates to the red ball game.

Different players?

I put a message to the doc clarifying how far ahead of me in Angry Birds he really was, bearing in mind I play Classics (which he really hates) and he doesn't. Thought he would be pleased but he was really sniffy about it. Don't understand how he can push Bluestacks to the limit (further than me) and be high and mighty about Classics.
Oh well, I'll press on anyway. 354k behind @asher. @realfish posting some useful Classics strats. No-one else really. @hallieGinSB having a rest. Not even some kid posting fake scores. As we say in these parts, tumbleweed. -
I'm off to the N Pole to join up with my pal The Grinch as I have no enthusiasm for lowest score wins.
-
I'm travelling by car with me old mate Ebeneezer Scrooge.
-
Brilliant Dr Who episode when K9 came back with Sarah Jane. Almost brought a tear to my eye.
-
On the comments page for 28-5 (ABO), Kathy expresses the opinion that Slim may have cleaned up some of the Kathy/Kimmie exchanges that went on a bit.
-
Showery lunch break(not supposed to rain today). Bah humbug! Beautiful rainbow right where I'm parked so close I can see leprechauns giving me the finger.
Seem to recall Sarah Jane and K9 had they're own spin off series back in the day. They certainly fared better than Adric. Remember him? Was it just me or was he really annoying when he was alive? More so than when he died anyway. I'm sure there's a blog out there detailing every companion the Dr ever had and what happened to them starting with DW 1.0 and his granddaughter (how do they square that in the Whoniverse btw? Adopted?)
I think my favourites are Rose and Amy(you can see a common denominator straight away can't you? I know I'm extremely shallow). That said I think Billie Piper is an underrated actress, such an expressive, malleable face. Karen Gillan also very talented. What about you guys? Any favourites? -
Oh wreck the Halls challenge, that time of year again. Some of you may remember last year when me and the lads left the the pub to deck the halls it ended up in a bit of disaster, yip the halls were waiting for us ( broken noses, black eyes, cauliflower ears etc were suffered). At This years pre Christmas planning meeting down the "Ye Old Dog and Vomit Tavern " we have decided to engage a element of surprise. With total victory in mind we are postponing deck the halls until hogmanay 31st December. Any new members are welcome, the more the merrier and there may even be a bit of hedge hopping afterwards.
-
Twiggy and I are getting very good at puddle hopping. I don't encourage hopping over hedges. Yesterday we met a lone sheep in a lane nibbling at some nice grass. As we approached it leapt over the wall into the field. Super Sheep. After we had gone it leapt back again. All the other sheep just ignored it. That most dangerous of animals, a clever sheep. Think that must cue a Monty Python sketch - hang on...
https://youtu.be/Vkw2DdoskPY?si=GJCmtgo6OzlhtMQK
The first ever MP sketch apparently. -
I am going to let you off that errant apostrophe @brianN because it's Christmas. But you might be interested in this example from the latest newsletter of the Apostrophe Protection Society.
It goes (it's a professional business card)...
Mary Guest
Mary,s tot,s and teen,s.
All year round school wear.
An absolute disaster in every way possible. -
Let's hope it's a grammar school.
-
Ooh, I do love a good solstice. Mind you I'm not getting up at 0327 on a cold Friday morning to sacrifice a few virgins. You've got to draw the line somewhere.
-
Be bloody lucky to find a virgin in Wales over the age of consent, other than a warty, fat, returned unopened, 85 year old!
-
Watching the Christmas Special of Detectorists again
Love ir -
Presents wrapped, pickles made, cards sent, cake cooked and decorated, food stacked in freezer and fridge, saw A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic, again, watched Love Actually
I’m ready for Santa! -
Talking to myself, again….
-
Oh no, I forgot to make the pickle
-
You are in fact @hunnybunny, a domestic goddess. Can I hire you out?
-
Henry and I are overdosing on Christmas special OCs and UCs. Acronyms on a need to know basis.
-
Angry Birds has stopped working for me on my PC. Haven't had this for a couple of years. I was on a good run too. 320k behind asher. Starting to have hope.
-
Not for hire, sadly, Dan!
Anyway, I have a spot on the top of my nose
1. Looks an Indian Lady’s Bindi that has dropped an inch
Or
2. Rudolph’s nose has bounced upwards
It is truly a dreadful look!
-
Never mind, I'm going to get Nigella in instead.
Have a great day everyone! For me, it's going to be a rather different from the last 34 years but we will hopefully have a good time. Might take Twiggy down Bangor Pier for a doggy icecream treat on Christmas Day. It's the best pier in the world. -
Enjoy Dan xx
-
Merry Christmas everyone
-
Merry Christmas, Nesters all
-
Merry Christmas to all of the BP crowd!
-
Merry Christmas everyone! OB, a round of drinks for all that are here!
-
Merry Christmas
Thanks for the drink -
Wishing all my flinging friends a very Merry Christmas!
-
Hope you all had a fab Boxing Day
I mashed some potatoes, added the left over carrots and sprouts, also mashed, added ground up some ham: Hammy Hash Cakes!
Served with bacon and mustard sauce
Went for a walk, with two pub stops
And, later
A cold collation (Mr Bunny’s favourite) finished with Christmas Cake, and for me, a Laphroig Quarter Cask snifter -
Cold collation always sends a shiver down my spine, I think it reminds me of something unpleasant in Spike Miiligan's wartime memoirs.
Lovely walk today on the sands of Red Wharf Bay, also known as Red Dwarf Bay. Several square miles of sand at low tide, a group of 14 horses galloping by, Twiggy rolling around on her back.
Shepherd's Pie.
